Now in the new International House downtown, Pinoy Boi is still making amazing food! I stopped in for lunch and got my usual spam and rice bowl and couldn't have been happier. The flavors, and the quality of this spot is one of the best in the city. Not a lot of people I know are big fans of spam, but even after eating it a lot as a kid, I still have a fondness for it. The fried spam mixed in with the rice and fried egg is a perfect combination with enough spice to make it perfect. Add in a couple lumpia and it's the perfect lunch! I also tried a slice of the cassava cake and it was absolutely delicious. The cake is topped with a coconut custard and it hits the spot right after a filling meal. This is one of my favorite spots in Buffalo. Go try it for yourself and you won't be disappointed. read more

Popped in right before they close for a bit because I heard they had a vegan version of their "bistek" dish. The rumors were true - you can get vistek with vegan lumpia on top. The vistek is a vegan beef - looks like beyond steak bits or something somilar- cooked with onions and served over rice with the fried lumpia (like a long spring roll) on top and a dipping sauce. The onions are the only veggies in this dish. It's good. I'm not aware of any other places in town where you can get vegan Filipino food - so check them out. read more

Attend a Yelp Event and this restaurant was featured. Located in the old Expo, downtown Buffalo, theater district. Ambience was cool,open and interesting. The space holds several restaurants and is like a gallery of different foods and drinks. The chef was personable and shared why he's so passionate about Philippino food. That translated, because everything was VERY good. Fried rice was typical, BBQ Pork was different, but every good. Reminded me of a pork belly taste without the candied exterior. I didn't have the Lumpia due to it being fried, but my fellow Yelper literally ate mine and his, so it MUST be delicious. The dessert was perfect! Not too sweet. The Ube (purple yam) cheesecake was delightful-Soft, fluffy, velvety, great flavor. The cassava cake was surprisingly served warm, with a texture that looked and felt slightly gelatin-like, but not chewy. It had a smooth, light taste. Now in the Downtown Bazaar, I had an enjoyable lunch here this week. I ordered the large pancit which was noodles, veggies, and a lemon to squeeze over it. It was delicious, very filling, and came out quickly. It was served in a takeout container with utensils but there is seating at the downtown bazaar to dine in as well. Highly recommend! read more

Wanted to check out this spot in the Downtown bazaar and was not disappointed. I've never had Filipino food before so I didn't really have any expectations going in but I got the Pork Sisig, which is essentially a minced pork dish served over rice. Also tried the Lumpia, which are fried spring rolls with pork, cabbage, and carrots. Wonderful food and service. Had a small snack here before heading to a happy hour. We ordered a small Pancit with fried egg and 3 Lumpias [similar to spring rolls). We loved both items. The spring rolls were crispy with a vegetable filling and sweet dipping sauce. The Pancit was full of veggies and rice noodles, stir-fried and topped with an egg. The egg was perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful with the dish. We will be back and I suggest you also give it a try! read more

Ordered take out via Uber Eats. Appears to be a new stand at the Broadway street market. Super excited for the first filipino cuisine restaurant that I know of in Buffalo. Glad to see the diversity steadily growing in the last 10+ years I've been living here. Full transparency, I upvoted this review to 5 stars because of the fact that it is the only Filipino food in Buffalo I know of. That being said, both my wife and I really enjoyed the food. It was actually her first time ever eating Filipino food as she was born and raised in Buffalo. She was asking why I never exposed her to it before! Extra excited to visit the Broadway way street market now. I never heard of it until recently when it made the news for reopening for the first time since the covid pandemic started. I stopped in to the Broadway Market today to check out FebFest22. Happened upon this pop up restaurant. Ordered just a few items, which is the only reason i'm giving this 4 stars. The longanisa sausages are about the length of a breakfast sausage, but much fatter, and much tastier! On the menu, they are described as spicy, sweet, savory, and i agree. I'd never had cassava cake before, so, of course, had to try that. Not too sweet, definitely can taste the coconut (a plus), couldn't stop eating it (a LARGE piece!). Lastly, ordered the 2 oz cup of papaya salad. It could be eaten by itself, but it's tangy enough that I would add it to a burger, or plain baked chicken or fish. Would definitely order all 3 items again! Please check their FB page b/c they are there just Fri and Sat, located near the permanent meat vendors, but along the side (if you walk in the market from Broadway, they are on the left, near the rear.) Absolutely delicious food, tasted like my mom's cooking. So so good!!!! I don't think you can go wrong here. We had the Inihaw, Turon and Halo Halo. I recommend all of it. The lumpia and dipping sauce was perfect too. Hoping this place stays around and gets more popular. I'd eat here all the time but I'm from out of town. Definitely stopping here any time we're in Buffalo. We checked their FB page before going since they post the menu there. Looks like they offer a few different dishes every week, which is awesome! Upon arrival, one server told me that he will be back for me. I waited 10 minutes until a second server asked me if I have been served and he then took my order. This second guy told me that I will wait for 20 minutes which I did. Horrible service! I saw this second server picked up lumpia with bare hands, not wearing gloves, for a customer which is so disgusting! The food was horrible. There was much more rice and very little pork sisig on my bowl. I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend. Sorry. read more

I was excited to see a Filipino restaurant as I'm new to Buffalo and everything I got was delicious. The kare kare was delicious, it's not as peanut buttery as I would normally make it but like I'm the person who will put the whole jar rather than a reasonable amount . I do wish they included some bagoong with it. My only real critique was that the lumpia I received wasn't crispy fried and parts of the wrapper were still pale. I ordered through UberEats so I'm sure any of my issues were probably from the delivery and not the restaurant's fault. read more
