    Chicken adobo

You'll have lookout for the restaurant signs on the corner because it's a little tough to find. They greeted and sat me right away which was awesome! I got the chicken adobo with rice, it was delicious and really tender! Initially I wanted pinakbet but they were out of the veggies. Overall I'd eat here again!

My wife and I were visiting Niagara Falls, NY and were craving a good Filipino restaurant, and this place absolutely hit the spot. The food was fresh, the service was above and beyond, and the friendly attitude really added to the ambiance. No complaints at all--except I wanted to pin El Dorado Hills, CA on the map for visitors, but it seems everyone from California had already added their push pins to areas surrounding El Dorado Hills (LOL). Not a big deal though, because the main thing is the FOOOOOD was GREAT! Thank you!

Food is with great flavor, but they aren't generous with the portions. Not shareable. Place was small and cozy, felt like you're in the Philippines (a lil bit) and it can get crowded depending on day and time you go. Prices are on the pricey side.

Saw this place and was impressed by the staff and how the place was set up all together. Although the food portions weren't big, it still tasted really great. As expected from a Filipino cuisine.

We were so happy that we found an asian restaurant here. Everything was great, service was great, place were clean. We love everything that we ordered. Must try when you visit Niagara Falls.

Had a nice time here. Food is 10/10. Service was good and we enjoyed our lunch. Piping hot food with nice portions. Very flavorful and fresh tasting. Service was good. Simple as that. Casual restaurant worth visiting if you like authentic Filipino food. I'd come back if in the area.

My Filipino mother and I decided to come here for brunch on our last full day in Niagara Falls. We were excited to see a filipino spot near our hotel so of course we had to give it a try. We were warmly greeted by our server and were given the option to seat wherever we wanted. The place was welcoming, clean, and colorful. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical of the food as I didn't really see any Filipino staff members but that quickly went away as I took my first bite of the lumpia. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and the portions were large. The coffee was also delicious. Overall great vibes. If you're craving for some Filipino food, I would definitely recommend coming here.

As visitors to Niagra Falls on the US side we struggled to find any good food options. We were hoping The Mami House could save us from the countless bad diner style food choices, but it couldnt. The dumplings we started with were ok but very greasy. The pork platter I ordered was burnt fatty pork that I eventually gave up eating. My wife ordered the pork belly and it was instantly inedible. Im not sure what the issue is here, if the food was old and reheated in a microwave or what. But it wasnt good. It seemed like at one time the restaurant might have been better, but not when we visited. The staff were kind under the circumstances of seeming under staffed and serving this underwhelming food. But if you are like us and only visiting the US side and looking for something different, at least based on our experience, this isnt it. Good luck to the owners to turn it around. Sincerely.

The food was absolutely amazing -- full of flavor, cooked to perfection, and felt like a true taste of home. You can tell that so much care and love go into their cooking. Service was equally outstanding. My order came out quickly, and the team went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. If you're in Niagara Falls and want delicious Filipino food paired with genuinely great service, The Mami House is a must-visit.

Pancit Canton + Fried Pork Belly + Pork Adobo

Traveling from out-of-state, I was seriously craving some Asian comfort food, specifically Filipino, and with all the glowing Yelp reviews, I figured it was time to check out Mami House. Spoiler alert: it hit the spot. We ordered the pancit canton, which is surprisingly hard to find at most Filipino restaurants. I was impressed they had multiple pancit options - usually you only get one choice. The pancit canton was flavorful and cooked just right. The soy sauce base with just a hint of lemon made it feel like home. No extra lemon needed. They nailed it. We also got the pork adobo. Heads-up: it's made with pork belly, so it's definitely on the fatty side - delicious, rich, and perfect if you're leaning into comfort food. My only suggestion? Use a sealed container for takeout. That sauce does not like to stay put, but the smell in the car had us counting down the minutes till we got home. We tried the fried pork belly too. I was hoping for that crispy lechón kawali texture, but it came out a little softer than expected. What would've taken it up a notch? Spicy vinegar! I'm not sure if they offer it, but I'll definitely ask next time. A true test of an authentic Filipino restaurant is whether they've got spicy vinegar (suka) on hand. Even though we took the food to go, I had time to admire the space - it's quaint, casual, and great for families. The staff was also super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Bottom line: flavorful food, warm vibes, and pancit that tastes like it came straight from Lola's kitchen. Will definitely be back if we come back to visit Buffalo again.

This place is awesome. One of the best filipino restaurant in the east coast. The service, ambiance, and the food was great. Our server was so nice and pleasant. I totally recommend this place.

The adobos are too salty although flavor is good. However seafood noodle is too plain.

Even got a chance to chat with the owners Ate Beth and John since we ate a late lunch. Got sisig and dinuguan and both tasted great! Just like how it tastes when you go to Manila! Worth a try if you're in the area! Friendly service, freshly cooked meal (it takes about 15 minutes to cook), and a bunch of treats to buy in the store!

It's been about a month and a half since it's passed, so here's my honest take of the restaurant part of this store. We visited Niagara Falls for three days and as was the highlight of our 2.5 week vacation in eastern Canada. My family and I normally eat at a Filipino food place at least once to vibe how the Filipino food and community is at an area. Lo and behold, J&B Filipino/Asian Store was only a 10 minute walk from our hotel, which is a 20 minute walk from the actual falls, or a 5 minute drive. Nice! The first time we went there, we checked out the grocery store section part of the store, but we didn't really need any Filipino snacks since we are already familiar with it and have them at home in Hawai'i. The next day, we tried to eat at the restaurant, but we were abruptly told that the restaurant was closed. The man wasn't the smiley, friendly type and wasn't Filipino himself, so we felt a bit bad, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt because everyone has bad days. The very next day, the restaurant was actually open this time, so we went to try it out. We were actually given menus at our seat, but told us to order up at the cashier (which is weird, pick either service or turo-turo style lol). It was a relatively long wait, about 20-25 minutes, but good food takes a while to make. I wish I could say it was good, but it wasn't that. First of all, what kind of Bicol Express has no gata and all bagoong? I was fully expecting Bicol Express, even confirmed it twice upon ordering and receiving, but was vastly disappointed at what I ate, which is far too salty for my taste. I left unsatisfied with my meal. I didn't want to ruin the vibe with my family, so I didn't mention anything until my mom mentioned that her bangus (milkfish) was stale. I tasted it myself, it was! No wonder my sister's husband from Canada who grew up in Ontario hated fish. Fish from Ontario, Canada is tasteless/stale due to being imported (unlike fresh in Hawai'ior the Philippines)!!! Next, my normally quiet brother is usually content with everything, but his sisig was tasteless! Is there even a Filipino working in the back, or is the Filipino food in Canada not tasty at all (not the case since we had better Filipino food in Montreal in future days)? Finally, the vibe of the sole employee at the time speaks of no customer service or Pinoy (or even Canadian) hospitality at all. He was quite blunt, but it could be his personality. He also blasted Cuban music in the store, which I'm not against, but the environment didn't feel authentically Filipino to me and felt disingenuine. No wonder this place wasn't visited at all, which is a disappointment since this place has good reviews from a year ago. It's possible that the owners have changed and the quality went downhill. I don't think I'll ever recommend this restaurant to anyone I know, and we've learned to avoid this place the next time we visit Niagara Falls. Two stars is still a bit generous and I don't want to badmouth a restaurant completely over one visit, but it's my lowest rating out of any establishment at the time of this post.

This is supposed to be Bicol Express. All I could taste was bagoong (could be closer to Binagoonan).
