My Filipino mother and I decided to come here for brunch on our last full day in Niagara Falls. We were excited to see a filipino spot near our hotel so of course we had to give it a try. We were warmly greeted by our server and were given the option to seat wherever we wanted. The place was welcoming, clean, and colorful. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical of the food as I didn't really see any Filipino staff members but that quickly went away as I took my first bite of the lumpia. As visitors to Niagra Falls on the US side we struggled to find any good food options. We were hoping The Mami House could save us from the countless bad diner style food choices, but it couldnt. The dumplings we started with were ok but very greasy. The pork platter I ordered was burnt fatty pork that I eventually gave up eating. My wife ordered the pork belly and it was instantly inedible. Im not sure what the issue is here, if the food was old and reheated in a microwave or what. But it wasnt good. It seemed like at one time the restaurant might have been better, but not when we visited. The staff were kind under the circumstances of seeming under staffed and serving this underwhelming food. But if you are like us and only visiting the US side and looking for something different, at least based on our experience, this isnt it. Good luck to the owners to turn it around. Traveling from out-of-state, I was seriously craving some Asian comfort food, specifically Filipino, and with all the glowing Yelp reviews, I figured it was time to check out Mami House. Spoiler alert: it hit the spot. We ordered the pancit canton, which is surprisingly hard to find at most Filipino restaurants. I was impressed they had multiple pancit options - usually you only get one choice. The pancit canton was flavorful and cooked just right. The soy sauce base with just a hint of lemon made it feel like home. No extra lemon needed. They nailed it. We also got the pork adobo. Heads-up: it's made with pork belly, so it's definitely on the fatty side - delicious, rich, and perfect if you're leaning into comfort food. My only suggestion? Use a sealed container for takeout. That sauce does not like to stay put, but the smell in the car had us counting down the minutes till we got home. We tried the fried pork belly too. I was hoping for that crispy lechón kawali texture, but it came out a little softer than expected. What would've taken it up a notch? Spicy vinegar! I'm not sure if they offer it, but I'll definitely ask next time. A true test of an authentic Filipino restaurant is whether they've got spicy vinegar (suka) on hand. Even though we took the food to go, I had time to admire the space - it's quaint, casual, and great for families. The staff was also super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Bottom line: flavorful food, warm vibes, and pancit that tastes like it came straight from Lola's kitchen. Halo halo was recommended by previous reviewers so I tried it and loved it though it was quite expensive. I tried it in Las Vegas and found that it was also priced similarly so I guess that's the going rate in tourist areas. It was great that the server checked to see if everything was ok. When I had ordered a dish with chicken and found it under cooked the server took it back and had I got another one back which was well done. The place was very focused on cleanliness because there even signs indicating which tables were cleaned and sanitized. This restaurant is really great and I would recommend it to everyone! I was visiting the falls and staying nearby when I saw this place on the map. I was happy and surprised to see a Filipino restaurant in town! I got the Pancit Palabok and it was so well made. The noodles were well cooked and had a nice soft texture and the sauce was so flavorful. It was a pretty good portion and was filling, and the price was very reasonable, even considering the area. I was craving ice cream and had skipped the shops in the park and in town, and I'm glad I did because their Halo-Halo more than satisfied the craving. They serve it in a nice glass too which I hadn't seen at other Filipino spots. The two servers were very courteous and welcoming. The service was also pretty quick too! It's located at a really close distance from a lot of hotels and isn't far from the park, so if you're staying nearby or even visiting the park from further, it's a pretty easy walk to get here. The restaurant itself looks unassuming from the outside, it's part of the big apartment building, but they have a nice sign out. The inside was surprising. Once you enter from the hallway there's a cute map with pins place by visitors and there are old Filipino posters on the walls everywhere. They have booths, tables and a bar counter. It has two floors, too, which is pretty cool! Very clean too, including the bathrooms. Locals seem to like it here too, which is really nice to see. Pretty tasty Filipino food albeit the lumpia from the chicken skewer/fried pork belly combo plate had too much Magic Sarap seasoning (or equivalent) in it lol. MSG-tastic. If you're a fan of Jollibee pancit palabok you'll love the pancit palabok here; tastes similar but much more hearty with the very plump shrimp and a good amount of fried pork belly topping chunks. Mentioning more about the combo plate, the meat was tender and the garlic rice (rice upgrade) was aggressively garlic-salt-seasoned, which I loved. The halo-halo was rather disappointing because although the portion of each ingredient at the bottom of the cup was right, the size of the ube ice cream scoop on top was way too small! I came here solo after a long day hiking the Niagara Falls Gorge Trail so they seated me at the bar. It was a bit busy with some families still ordering, so I got the menu and water a few minutes after sitting down. No biggie. They have a TV playing football at the bar, so it didn't feel like a formal restaurant (which I like). I ordered the pancit noodles and a side of pork lumpia, which tasted good but portions were on the smaller end - maybe because they're used to tourists eating here? Filipino Cuisine [Niagara Falls NY] Before heading back to the airport in Buffalo (BUF) we had lunch here at the Mami House in Niagara Falls. We had a challenging time finding the place. The signage attached to the building on 3rd Street was small and not very easy to tell. Had I not seen the portable outdoor folding sign we wouldn't have been able to locate the place. The place was unassuming. Well, once we were inside the door we felt a little better as we have been craving for Filipino food. The lone server signaled to us that we can sit anywhere. He was tending to another customer. We ordered Bistek and Pork Adobo and upgraded our white rice to Garlic Fried Rice for an additional $1. Finally, we topped off our meals with a Halo-halo even though we were so full already. Gotta always make room for dessert LoL! Service was good. I loved the bistek, the meat was tender and flavorful, but the pork adobo had more fat than meat. The restaurant was clean with a second level for more seating. Came to Niagara for vacation with my family & found a hidden gem just minutes from the Falls. Husband is part Filipino so we came with his mom just for some halo halo & ube ice cream cause we were in the area but decided to go back another time to try the food. The 2nd time was probably the best experience food was very flavorful and the chicken mami was a good portion size. Unfortunately my husband who is vegetarian didn't have alot of options. Having lived in Asia for over 20 years we were very excited to find this place. The food was just ok however the portions were extremely sparse. We ordered lumpia as an appetizer and it was delicious but only included 6 tiny half-sized lumpia's. The chicken adobo cost $20 and did not taste very good. It consisted of one chicken wing and two tiny drumsticks that looked like they were from a Cornish hen not a chicken. The pancit had very few noodles and no flavor. The pork belly was dry, the quantity was extremely small and had very little flavor as well. We didn't order drinks and ended up walking out paying $84. NEVER AGAIN!!! We should have left when we walked in at 5pm and we were the only customers present the whole time we were there. Obviously they are struggling with business and are over-charging and cutting their portions in half in order to try and stay afloat. I don't anticipate they'll be open much longer with that kind of food and portioning - lesson learned. read more

Amazing! My wife and I were in Niagara for the weekend and happened to find this amazing little authentic Filipino restaurant! The food tasted so authentic and delicious if we had more time we would've been back however we didn't find this until the last night here... The atmosphere was very cute, quiet and peaceful with a lot of decor from the Philippines which is exactly what we were hoping for. My wife said it reminded her of Home. The young lady, serving us was so friendly and attentive to our table! There was literally nothing that we did not like about this place! If you are from around here, make it a regular spot.
