I RSVP'd to this event 2-3 weeks in advance and I had thought that you would need an RSVP to enter the event. When I arrived I was greeted with smiling staff that welcomed me very well. But no one really checked to see if I had an RSVP when I was ready to show it at the front entrance. Walking in I was amazed at the decor and set up. I was also amazed at the amount of people in the restaurant area on the first floor. It felt a bit overwhelming with the amount of people shoulder to shoulder walking with plates in our hands waiting on line to grab food that has been prepared by the chefs. They had grilled shrimp on ice, sirloin sliders (which was gone by the time I arrived at the serving trays), flat bread pizza being served and cooked constantly by the staff and many more. The flat bread pizza had a very hard crunch to it and over time I felt like I was chewing for a while and my jaw was getting tired. The sauce, cheese and pepperoni tasted very well. I understand that the crust may be hard due to the high temperature the chef needed to cook it because everyone was taking a lot of the pizza. Upstairs was the bowling alley and venue/banquet hall. There are 12 lanes and the banquet hall looked pretty big with a 360 video booth. My girl friend and I were able to get a video because it looked really nice. The vibes isn't he banquet hall were great with a small table and giving out beer and wine. The bowling alley was very nice, and as a bowling fanatic myself, it looked very good to play in. I am excited to try it out when there are less people at the place to get a very nice competitive spirit going with my friends. My only con about the event is how many people were there because I felt like there was barely any space to walk around. But other than that, I look forward to coming a different day where it is not busy like it was opening day. read more

Me and my wife go to Pinstripes quite often to go bowling and enjoy their food and drinks. My favorite thing to eat was their lobster pizza up until my last visit. The lobster pizza came out with literally one piece of lobster but the whole entire pizza was filled with shrimp. I asked for the server if that was a mistake but I was told "the chef said the menu has changed and lobster isn't the base anymore." If that was the case they should change the name on the dish. It's misleading (false advertisement). I managed restaurant for a long time and when we have steak, crab, shrimp, lobster or any protein for any dish we add it by the measurement; example 3-5lbs so the dishes have the ingredients consistently. read more

I came here for a holiday party! We had our own bowling area with appetizers. They had grilled chicken fingers, mini sliders, bruschetta, mini wieners, and spinach with feta cheese. The spinach and feta cheese were delicious, the chicken fingers were yummy with the sauce, and the mini sliders were really good! Was so excited for date night and to check this place out with my partner. It had been on my list of places to try for a while, and I was happy to finally have the opportunity. I will start off by saying the ambiance here is wonderful. I love the dim lighting and the staff is very friendly. I came here specifically to try their ribs which a friend had recommended to me and was the purpose of my trip. After I ordered it, the waiter left and came back and informed me they had run out and didn't have any in the kitchen. I feel there should have been a sign listed or be told ahead of time when the kitchen runs out of items. I would have probably left and came back another day but my partner had already ordered and we were invested. Instead of the ribs, I ordered char-grilled ribeye that came along palenta - something i haven't tried ages ago , so It felt refreshing . I hosted a birthday party for my best friend here during brunch yesterday. There were 16 of us and the food and service were amazing! Everyone from the hostess to the awesome waiter were so helpful and on top of it. I brought in a cake to serve after brunch and they took care of the timing & helping to serve with plates. Most places charge for that, but they were so helpful. The brunch buffet was delicious and it was hard not to overeat. Our waiter, Ryan C., was possibly the best waiter ever! The place looks beautiful. The staffing is lacking, and the bowling area is cramped. We already knew which lane we were meeting at. Arrived on the 2nd floor through the mall and waited at a small check-in stand for several minutes. No one showed up. Saw no employees. Saw the lanes ahead of us and approached. We saw an assortment of bowling shoes in various sizes. Still seeing no one around, we grabbed our shoes and proceeded to the lane. Took awhile for someone to come over to take our drink and food order. Unlike a restaurant, no one seems to check on you unless you alert them via a button. Then you wait. It's a process. Seating is best for 4. If you have 5 it's workable but tight. 6 didn't work, and we'd take turns standing, since we were told we couldn't sit at the empty couch next to us. The games are on a timer. You have exactly 1 hour before they shut down. Halfway into our 2-hr session our game stopped. Had to get someone to reset the system because apparently we were only allocated 1 hour. The extensive food menu is not available at the lanes, unfortunately. They have a limited gaming menu. So the "restaurant" is really its own entity. Too bad. We were looking forward to having a good meal while we bowled. One breakdown where maintenance had to be notified. 5-6 min later we were back in action, though time was not added, nor fees credited, for the mishap. I do understand the time - because lanes are booked for precise hours. Removing our shoes, there was nowhere seen where we could leave them, so we placed them on top of a couple barrels near where we picked them up. Hopefully someone sprayed them before putting them back. Saw nowhere to settle up our food & drink bill. As we wandered towards the front, we finally saw an employee and asked. We were directed downstairs to a main entrance. Once there the lady said we should've paid our server. Told her no one showed to take our money. After a little confusion we were able to pay. Wanted to bring the family somewhere nice for Mother's Day but ended up looking for reservations a week before. Didn't find anything that fit except this place and only in the afternoon. Why not? The food looked decent. Ordered the Char Grilled Ribeye and it was pretty good. Solid B+. There were some chewy parts but it was flavorful. One big issue that we had was that I had ordered two kids plates and we ended up waiting for along time before I asked if the order got put in. Apparently the kitchen forgot our order for the kids which made me a bit irritated... especially on Mother's Day. Our actual waiter was nowhere to be found (was told by one of the servers I called over that there are many servers who could help us...)? This guy who looked to be the GM did apologize and asked us what we needed. Eventually we got our food. Overall score would have been around a 2 of 5 but what made me raise this score to a 4 even with the inconvenience was accountability. The restaurant did apologize and offer us if we needed anything. Came here on a Friday night for dinner and bowling. We arrived and were seated promptly. We ordered the chicken goat cheese pasta, ahi tuna bowl and the kids chicken strips. Our server was nice but he was all over the place not sure if it was the server or the other guy helping the server but my son order the kids meal and his meal came with garlic bread but it was brought to another table, same thing we ordered something else and it was brought the wrong table. The guy helping our main server blamed the server for putting the wrong table numbers. Good thing it wasn't too busy or this would have been a problem. The Manager came in and checked in on us a few times, overall service was good. My son thought the chicken strips were okay, my chicken goat cheese pasta was good but it just had a little sour taste for my like and my husband did enjoy his ahi tuna bowl. We had a reservation for bowling after and it's upstairs, but there is no one to check you in, you have to go downstairs for that and it just wasn't organized, we felt the lanes were a little small and a lot smaller than we expected so we just ended up canceling the bowling all together. They should have a check in upstairs instead or have someone who can assist you. All in all a good experience, I would give them another try. A nice new addition to this area. read more

Had never heard of this place I heard it just opened in October went with some friends on their referral . They really like the place. there was a live DJ he played great music.In Our party we had ages from 17 to 57 and we were all able to enjoy the music it wasn't too loud just loud enough. It was a Saturday brunch, the waffles were so good so light so delicious the prime rib was so good the pizza , omelette all the food was delicious. I love the ambience. I love the round tables. I love the lounge area where we could sit at a table with couches there is bowling and bocce that you could play, and to be honest, I didn't see those areas but my spouse did. He said it was great. They had private dining rooms which I did see with beautiful murals on the wall. They had a great bar that sat in the middle. It's an all you can eat buffet And they left our dirty dishes on our table forever !!! way too long to the point where I had to ask someone can you clean the dirty dishes our friends have been there before they said the service is a lot better on Sunday.... Well that does nothing for me. The service should be good every day, and it was not crowded at all on this Saturday, so it should've been real easy to keep things clean. At one point a manager came over to just ask how we were doing. He happened to see dirty plates right in front of him when he squatted at our table so he removed them and you know what he did with them. He just set them on a clean table next to us, unbelievable !!!!and all our friend kept saying is it's much better on Sunday. Fun date night but skip the food & drink. The ingredients for used here are not fresh. We got the tenderloin sliders and the overall flavor was good but they were all very chewy- one was very rare while the rest were well done. The bread was VERY stale. The truffled fries that came on top were greasy. My boyfriend got the old fashioned and I got the Paloma, both tasted like they came premade from a can. It was a Sunday night and one lane for an hour was quoted at $80. They ended up giving it to us for $40 since it was just the two of us. Honestly, my review would be so much worse if it weren't for Brooke and Sierra. They were amazing! Our bowling reservation was pushed due to an event and Brooke immediately made sure we were comfortable by offering us some drinks while we waited. She was sweet and checked in on us. I got the Violeta, a mule, and a Stella. Our bowling pins kept getting stuck. We were able to figure it out by playing with the controls, but for anyone less tech savvy than someone who works in the tech industry will probably have an issue with it. Later we got drinks at the bar and the bartender Sierra was a standout, friendly and knowledgeable and we had a great conversation. I'll come back when she's there. Thank you for a pleasant experience. My fiancé and I went during happy hour for bocce ball. It was our first time playing this game. One of the staff members explained the rules and led us to a seating area by the bocce grounds. We ordered a few drinks and food items and got ready to play. I've been here two times, both during the day. First was great no issues. However, my second visit I made a reservation for 2 at 1:45pm on a Thursday. It wasn't till I got home later that I realized they overcharged me in bowling. On the website it says $20/person for 2 hours. However, I got charged $80 on a reservation of 2 people. And during this time, we were supposed to get in lane service. We did not receive any service till 30-45minutes into our game--and that's only because I asked the person in my party to go to the bar. Pinstripes seriously needs a complete management overhaul. The entire place feels like it's being run by people who have no idea what they're doing. We tried to bowl at 8 PM and were told we'd only get one hour because of a "private event." Conveniently, 8 PM also falls under their Happy Hour pricing--which made it feel more like an excuse to avoid honoring the discounted rate than a real scheduling issue. This wasn't even our first bad experience. Last time, our lane kept restarting mid-game, and no one on staff could fix it. Zero accountability, zero solutions. The staff is all over the place, no one communicates, and it's clear there's no real leadership. Not to mention, the Hispanic manager on duty was completely useless--he didn't have a clue how to run a place of that size. It's obvious he's in over his head, and the team follows suit. Between the disorganization, poor service, and lack of competent management, Pinstripes has officially lost us as customers. So excited to have a new bowling alley in the area! My boyfriend and I hang out at Topanga mall often, so we always look forward to new places for date night. We visited Pinstripes last weekend just to try the food. The inside of pinstripes is absolutely stunning and the employees were so kind and inviting. The food, however, was not my favorite. We originally came to try their happy hour menu. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find out it was not offered in the bistro area. We decided to still go ahead and give their regular menu a try. I ordered the turkey cobb salad which I felt was over saturated with a sweet dressing. My boyfriend ordered a burger which he said was good but felt it was a bit expensive. Truffle fries were great. My favorite item from the menu was the buffalo cauliflower - definitely give this a try! We were invited to come by someone we knew and we will never be coming back. The food is horribly mediocre, not much variety and food isn't even all that fresh, possibly not at all. Which is bad for the price of about $40 per person. Some of the food is left out with no cover/ no one keeping an eye on it, I saw flies on the items that were out in the open. Omelettes/chilaquiles was cooked in-front of you, but it was not even hot when given to us.. ?? The area was dead, which should've been a sign to turn around. I noticed a manager "clean" the tables, he would used water from cups that people used and poured it onto the table and proceed to wipe it all around. I was actually baffled when I saw this more than twice on different tables. I know where I work we absolutely don't do that, use surface cleaner or something !?! I don't know if I'm being stingy, but a 20% gratuity fee during a buffet style was a bit over for me. They never came by to ask if we were okay or needed drinks/refills. We would have to call them over. I'm not saying we would've not tipped but it seems weird to charge that much for service that wasn't even provided. Also after reading some reviews post-lunch, I saw a few reviews mentioning that their cards were charged, that they didn't authorize. We will be keeping an eye on the card we used to pay, it is horrible that we have to do this and that this place seems to just eat peoples money but not even use it to make this place seem even the slightest bit nice or good !! I've never felt so neglected and insulted by an ENTIRE restaurant. Any reader of my reviews will know that I try to be fair. In most instances if there is a single point of failure, I would give management the opportunity to fix the issue. I will also overlook uncontrollable circumstances. For example, if no one from the restaurant was able to get the check to me for over an hour because the restaurant was understaffed, I'd understand. Usually, management would come by and at least apologize with out being asked. My disappointment with Pinstripe began when I was looking for a bar to watch a football game that was set to start at 4:30 PM. I called ahead to ensure that my game would be on behind the bar, and they assured me that it would be. However, when I arrived at 4:15 PM, my expectations were not met. Upstairs, there was a Bar Mitzvah. The bar was downstairs and it was desolate. There was no hostess, no one behind the bar, no customers, etc. If it wasn't for the party upstairs, I would have thought the bar was closed. The place is huge and stark. The interior looked like it was designed by some self-absorbed minimalist who doesn't like people. There is nothing warm and inviting about this place. I guess they ran out of money when management started looking for color, warmth, or furniture. Behind the bar area is the dining area. With no one in the bar area, I walked past toward someone who was approaching. Did the person stop to say, "Hi, how may I help you?" No. I had to stop the person to ask if the bar was open. He responded yes. When I asked if anyone was tending the bar and where I should sit, he pointed to a man who was walking away from us and said I should ask him. I guess I worked there now, and I have to figure out where people should be seated and whether the bar is open. Before I caught up with the manager, a waitress approached. Did she stop to ask what if I needed help? Of course not! So I stopped her. She told me to take a seat and that she would be with me. I thanked her and asked if she would turn on the game the football game that I wanted to watch. "I'll let them know," she responded. I should have left when I saw the Bar Mitzvah, and was the ONLY other person in the place. Instead, I sat at the bar. The waitress served some water and took my order. 4:30 rolls around, I get my beer and I ask to turn on the game. She said they're looking for it. I told her it's on Fox. 4:40-ish, there is a crowd by the hostess station, so I go over, and ask to turn on the game. One of the people told me they are looking for the game. I don't know how long I was sitting there waiting for the game ALL BY MYSELF. Perhaps another ten minutes, but it felt like an eternity. I finally see someone scrolling through the "Guide" on the TV screen. There, I sat quietly and watched the game. I watched the game in almost complete silence. All I heard was the sound of the air conditioner and the occasional restaurant worker passing by, who occasionally looked but didn't care for my presence. A little after 6:00 PM and a couple of minutes before the end of the first half, the sound of a game filled the bar. But It wasn't the football game I was watching. It was a baseball game. "Wait!" I thought. I could have been watching the game with sound? Instead, they had me sit here in complete silence. Now they want to disturb my football game with the sound of a baseball game? Why? I looked around. I was still the only customer in the restaurant. The feeling of insult and neglect started to sink in. So I asked for the check. Then I felt so upset, I asked for the manager. As if things couldn't get worse. I told the young manager what happened, how I felt insulted and neglected, and that they clearly did not want my business. He tried to argue that was not the case. He told me, they turned on the sound for the baseball game because they were having a Dodgers promotion. I pointed to the empty restaurant to remind him I was the only one here. He reminded me there was a Bar Mitzvah and that party didn't want to be disturbed. I reminded him that they could have put on the game a lower volume or just the speakers on the TV. He told me that all the speakers are on the same system. He told me they had to wait until the Bar Mitzvah was over to turn on the speakers and the Bar Mitzvah didn't end until 5:00 PM. I pointed out, 5:00 PM was over an hour ago. At this point, he rather make excuses and try to gaslight me. No one wanted me here. I get it. I know they won't care about this post, but I thought those who are accustomed to friendly service would want to know about my experience. read more
