For some reason my expected the restaurant in Nordstroms to be a little more on par with the high end shopping experience in the store. Well I was very disappointed. This was no more than diner quality food with a fancy aesthetic. We waited a few minutes at the hostess counter to get seated in a pretty empty restaurant. Our server was nice and took our order without issue. We ordered the French Dip sandwich and tried to chew it down. First off the meat in this sandwich was very fatty and tough. The Au Jus was extremely oily. Like the juice was separating with oil floating on top. Also the roll it was on was garlic bread. Not mentioned on the menu that this was served on literal garlic bread. They were out of garlic parmesan fries at 1pm on a Saturday. Like a big shopping day. If you are expecting a classy restaurant with a sophisticated menu with quality food, you have a better chance looking in the mall. read more

Decided to drop by and check this place out with our boss and coworkers for lunch one day and they did not disappoint! I looked over the menu ahead of time and was set on what I wanted but it was unfortunately an old menu and the item I wanted wasn't available anymore. Some kind of shrimp scampi pizza which sounded amazing! Hope they bring it back someday since our waitress Crystal said it was very good. I ended up getting just a margherita pizza for myself which I ended up being too full to eat because we filled up on the appetizers: spinach and artichoke dip and burrata which were both fantastic. The others got the hot chicken sandwich and french dip which they also really enjoyed. After we finished eating, it did take a while for the staff to come back around and get us boxes and the check. We also asked for more of the chocolate sticks they give you at the end but the lady who we asked just looked at an empty tin and said they were out which we were sure they had more for other guests somewhere. It's been coming, the fall from grace. I've been a longtime fan of Bazille. But the last couple of times the experience has been marred by food items that were 86'd and only divulged after ordering it. Taste buds ready and hope/expectation set yet disappointment delivered. Tonight it happened again and was a double-whammy. Mediocre service that turned int a very rude final attitude of the waitress. She literally threw the receipt across the table, turned her back, and walked off without saying a word. Left us sitting there with a shocked look and dirty dishes. Spoke with Arthur, the manager, on the way out. That was it. He's a very nice and polite man. Staffing and service and ordering, though, are management responsibilities. I think I'm done with Bazille for good. I eat out to have a pick of what's on the menu and have a good overall experience. I haven't been getting either in the past few visits. read more

Ambiance great. Service quick. Food delicious. If you have a kid, I recommend they get grilled chicken breast or mac and cheese. I am a huge fan of the mac and cheese. The chicken is a small portion, but comes with a side of your choice. I always order from the kids menu, but I don't doubt everything else is amazing. The bread and butter is what starts off the meal. Really good bread and butter. Pretty average prices. It is a nice experience being here. Totally recommend it. read more

I got french onion soup and chicken wings. The came out in like 15 mins - chicken wings were pretty juicy, greatly glazed and ranch sauce paired really well with them. I asked my french onion soup to have less cheese instead it was all covered in cheese. It was on a salty side but still tasted good. The bartender was a cool friendly guy. Interior looks worn and definitely needs a renovation. Overall a good experience will might come back to try something else on the menu read more

Well Positives: First, Isa was super nice and friendly when she brought over my fresh batch of fries. Fries were remade due to tasting a little stale and old. Mushroom Ravioli was not bad and the second batch of the Truffle fries were decent. Great recommendations from the host. Other than that, the bread and butter was missing. I was in a good mood so I just let it slide cause the server James had a Birthday and he did check up on me and ask about how my food was tasting. 4 stars. Absolutely adore this place. Tucked away on the 3rd floor in the back of Nordstrom is a quaint little gem for lunch and early dinner. The kitchen is open to see your food being cooked fresh and the ambiance gives off a spacious yet intimate dining experience. I like going here because everything on the menu is delicious. I haven't ordered a single item that I have not liked. The staff are always knowledgeable and efficient. The managers are hands on with helping the staff which is delightful to see. I love introducing this place to friends and family to try. Great for business lunch in, a place to catch up with your friend, kid friendly atmosphere and quiet date night. Try their unique kalamata olive aioli with their fries, soups are always delicious and calamari with peppers. Well priced and not astronomical. read more

Super fresh and always hits the spot! Tried the calamari, fries and the spinach artichoke dip too, all fantastic. The calamari is lightly breaded and not chewy, comes with a great dipping sauce (not the crappy marinara that most places have!). Spinach artichoke dip came out bubbling hot with fresh flatbread to dip and was super satisfying. Limited happy hour food menu but good drink selection. It's a great dining option when you're shopping at the Westfield mall and want to indulge in some tasty dishes. First course: The crab bisque. It was perfectly creamy & the fresh bread was served hot out of the oven. Second course: Cilantro Lime Chicken Tacos, two small crispy shells filled with fresh & flavorful Ingredients. The service was pleasant and the wait staff were all friendly. However, dining inside Nordstrom on a quiet and early weekday brunch, I expected more dining etiquette. The soup and tacos came out at once instead of paced out in courses. So my soup was more on the lukewarm side instead of hot. It was fine I guess. Will I dine here again? Maybe. Knowing there's a Morton's just up the street with similar type of food, I might consider that as an option the next time I'm in the area. read more

This place has been on my list for the longest cause someone told me about their bread pudding and my hubs love a good one! Great stop if you are already at the mall and shopping. Open and fairly with dark decor, very welcoming. Service was good! Everyone was friendly! Crab bisque and chicken pot pie soup was to die for 10/10- the crostini added so much to the experience. Calamari- 10/10 fantastic and the sauce was amazing! Honey Dijon salad with skirt steak 6.5- nothing bad just not notable. Nordstrom Burger 9/10 loved the bun and sharp cheddar, well cooked and seasoned. Bread pudding- 7/10 more like French toast and the white chocolate was a smidge overwhelming Crème brûlée- 0 over baked and they took it off our check Red velvet cupcake- 0 the taste of the cake lingered in my mouth for so long. read more

This is the cafe inside Nordstrom. It's consistently delicious. This day I took my aunt for lunch and Jesse was our server. He was AMAZING! We will request him from now on and will not go on his off days . His descriptions of the dishes and his attentiveness made us feel very special. We had appetizers and shared them. I hadn't been to Bazille in quite a while but it's still as good as ever. I started with simple salad and it was excellent. Their greens are always fresh and all their salad dressings are great. They also have a nice varieties of salads to choose from. You can't go wrong. I had their onion soup for my entree. It is so good. A very rich broth, not salty like most soups, with plenty of cheese and piping hot. I got excellent service from Jennifer and definitely recommend Bazille! read more

I don't know if many people know about this restaurant at the 3rd floor of Nordstrom Topanga. It is a hidden gem. We prefer dining here despite the many options available in the mall. Food quality is exceptional. You will never be disappointed. We were lucky enough to come for brunch. I had the eggs Benedict with ham drizzled with truffle oil and it was so delightful that I emptied my plate. My husband had the fish and chips which he said was awesome. But he was jealous of my dish so I am sure we will be back very soon. I was surprised that there was no waiting. Before we had to wait long. But check it out. Can't believe this is the first time we've ever eaten here! Located on the top floor in Nordstrom. We stopped by for lunch and was seated very quickly. So I was at Bazille a couple weeks ago & had the worst service and meal. I usually am very happy when I have lunch. But this time I went for dinner & the bartender was our server. He was awful. Forget everything & the food came out cold & terribly salty too. He forgot our bread & water that we asked for at least 4 times. I asked for the manager but I was told he was gone. The next day I asked again & was given the assistance manager because they don't have a manager. The assistant manager said he'd look into it & call me but he never did. I'm very disappointed that I was ignored since I eat there 2-4 times a month. read more
