I used to go to the Trimana location in Encino. Unfortunately, they closed down and I have been craving their club sandwich and fries. I was so excited to discover they had this location in Woodland Hills. I came in this afternoon and ordered the club sandwich and fries. Kami, the owner, who is the sweetest man ever, assisted me. He was kind enough to offer me a free soft drink while I waited. The food was ready pretty quickly and it tasted even better than before. The seasoned fries are so delicious. They are perfectly crispy and seasoned. The sandwich was incredible. The gourmet bread was so soft with crispy edges and perfectly toasted. All the ingredients were fresh. Definitely a far better experience at this location compared to what I went thru many times at another nearby location that has since closed. I had the chicken burrito which came with chips and salsa and it was great. The owner Kami is very friendly. I will definitely return sometime and try some of their other items - they have a Chef Salad on the menu that is $14 - most restaurants nowadays charge more than $20 for any salad that has more than lettuce and croutons on it. The only drawback of the place is that it is a bit hard to get to from the street, you have to go into the building and take the elevator down to the very bottom. I work in one of the nearby buildings so will definitely return soon - I get so busy during the day and don't often get out for lunch but on occasion when I can, I will definitely stop by again. read more

When I pick up lunch from here (and it is on rare occasions that I do this), I opt for the salad bar as it's the healthiest option here. However, the salad bar is $9.99/pound, which is outrageous. They have fresh salad & toppings for you to select from, along with hot food options, such as ready made rice, pasta, chicken tenders & fries. It's convenient, but very pricey. What I don't like is that some of the menu items that were "favorites" have been taken off the menu. Let me start off by saying that most people wouldn't particularly like this model of restaurant/buffet. For the $8.99/lb, it is pretty hard to find something of note that would make this place worth it. It would be even hard if you like carb focused meals. A rice plate at even PF Changs is cheaper than it is here. However, there is one thing that brings this Trimana above some of the other places in the neighborhood and that is its poke. The tuna poke is actually good and fresh, especially if you come in earlier on in the lunch rush. What makes it even better is that at $8.99/lb, it is actually a steal. You will drop ~$15 elsewhere to get half that amount of fish and a bunch of rice and veggies. So if you bring the rice from home, have some soy sauce at your table, and just pile on the poke, you will be eating a premium dish at a very discounted price. I've had the poke on half a dozen occasions and the quality and freshness have always been consistent. The key to these kinds of places is to find a way to win. I am not saying that Trimana is losing money on my $10 pile of fish, but I am beating every other poke place. read more

Trimana is worth the 3 minute 1/2 block walk from my building. I've been working in Warner Center for a couple years and didn't find out about Trimana until someone mentioned it the other day. Been missing out this whole time because no one enlightened me! The food is freshly prepared to order. Sometimes a queue develops of people waiting for their food, but orders come out relatively quickly (remember, your food is cooked-to-order!). There is a really great-looking salad bar, but it's pricey ($9-$10 per lb). The workers are always friendly and return smiles whenever you offer one. So far, I've tried the: *grilled cheese w/ turkey breakfast sandwich = not too greasy and was hot and tasty *patty melt = heart attack galore, but omg so good! Lots of grilled onions atop a juicy patty, encased within buttered rye. Came with a side of... *FRIES! I would go to Trimana just for the fries! They are the kind that are thick-cut, crispy, and have seasoned, battered bits of goodness all over! Oh, and you can ask for a complimentary side of ranch dressing when you pick up your order. Fell in love with this place so much that I chose them to cater our last work event for breakfast. We ordered enough for 13 people, but the portions were so generous that the food fed twice as many. Try the breakfast catering package #3 (french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, fruit) --- so many options for less than $10/person. Like everyone else this place is in my office building. The employees appear to be completely scared to death of the owner. The owner is very unfriendly and does not care one bit about service. He knows this is a captive audience. The food is less than average and the prices are outrageous. $9.50 for a turkey sandwich with some fruit past the expiration. Some of my favorites include: cheeseburger, the chicken burrito, salad bar, triple decker club and the buffalo chicken wrap. The prices may seem high but the quality of food and portions certainly makes up for it. I stop by at least twice a week for lunch if not more with co workers. The customer service is an added bonus to the great food, which is always fresh and orders are made fairly quickly. Cons: Rude manager at cashier, charged me extra for my breakfast without letting me know, sometimes takes a while to prepare food, no parking unless you are already in the building I wouldn't come here. My coworkers were raving about this place, so I tried it out today. Their salad bar looked pretty good... but I heard a lot of great things about their wraps... so I went with the italian chicken wrap. It was okay.... not spectacular. But the fries that came with it were delicious. I was also afraid to try the salad bar because it's priced by the pound, and I would accidentally end up getting like 2 pounds... which would be $15. And FYI the salad bad has pastas, meats, fries, etc as well. Overall, the place looked nice and the food looked good, but it seems overpriced for a "work building" restaurant. I was a regular customer as I work in the building. The manager in this cafe (the short one with glasses) has an awful attitude. I keep hearing the complaints about his attitude from other people as well. For example, i asked him to put extra mayonnaise on my sandwich, and he refuses. When I asked him to hand me a cup without a lid so I will not burn myself, and again he refuses and saying with mad voice yelling "we cannot do that!!!". Basically he treats customers so poorly, and now I refuse to go there just because of him. The food is not good and everything is totally overpriced.
