I hosted my husband's retirement party at Pinstripes. If you are thinking of it, DON'T. The planner didn't do much to assist in planning- the food ran out within 1/2 hour of being served. ($1500.00) I never saw it but people said it was there. No one advised us that the food was gone, we could have had the option to order more food from the menu to supplement. The "fruit skewers" were four grapes on a stick. ($16./dozen), and the rest of the desserts were morsel size. I was mortified that our guests left hungry. The worst part was when I tried to give feed back, the planner put the onus on the guests for "consuming more than expected". Never heard back after that. Wow. read more

I'm pretty much a sucker for any place that serves butternut squash ravioli. Pinstripes serves theirs with a delicious chutney type side that was a perfect compliment. Add immediate seating during lunch rush, free warm bread with flavored oil dipping sauce, attentive service, big windows giving a light and bright ambiance, and a $10 lunch menu (that is diverse and ample portions). Dining masterpiece! I also love the fire pits out on the patio and deck. They have chairs and blankets arranged around the fire for those who want to enjoy the crisp winter air...although maybe not on a day when the wind chill is 17 below. My lunchmates had the french dip and margherita pizza. There wasn't any left over for me to try, so I guess they were good too. On a subsequent trip I got the calamari--yuck! Skip it. read more

We were at the Edina, Mn location last week for a special occasion and had a problem when we were there.  My mother is 90 years old and hadn't been anywhere at all since Covid hit.  She was finally comfortable going to a restaurant with outdoor seating and wanted to take her 3 daughters out to celebrate our sister's birthday. I called the restaurant in advance and told them that we needed a spot outside and in the shade since my 90 year old mother couldn't sit in direct sun and is still afraid of getting covid even though she is vaccinated. The girl on the phone said we would need to make a reservation to get a spot on the patio in the shade.  I needed to call her back when I found out our time frame.  I called back a week before the date and again asked if i could reserve a table on the patio in the shade.  The girl on the phone said yes and took my reservation. When we arrived today my sister went in and asked to get our table, the hostess took her outside to a table that had no shade.  My sister said this won't do, we need a shady spot and the girl said that was all they had available.   I told my sister I would go in a speak to someone else and see what we could do.  The person at the register was Bunker, I told him our problem and he said they could never promise  a shady spot and there was nothing he could do.  I told him that we had reserved the spot a week ago and the girl said we could reserve a shady spot.  He said not one of his girls would ever say that.  I guaranteed him that they had.  I told him that we had planned this in advance, and we all drove from different areas for this special occasion and my mother couldn't sit in the sun.  He said "I don't know what to tell you, there is nothing I can do.  I also pointed out 3 tables that were in the shade.  He said they were reserved for a large group.  I said did they call their reservation in before us?  He said that it didn't matter, that was the only spot he had that would accommodate a large group.  He was very rude and offered no suggestion to help us out with the situation. As I was going out to see if my mom could just try the sunny spot, I saw 2 more tables that would seat 4 that were partially in the shade. I ran back in and asked the girl at the register if we could have one of those.  She was hesitant, but then said okay go ahead and sit down there.  I honestly felt like they didn't want to accommodate us at all. We put my mom in one of the 2 shady spots.  Two of us had to sit in the sun but at least our mom was comfortable. Twenty minutes later we see Bunker seat 3 ladies in one of the tables he said he was holding for the large group.  We didn't know what to think but maybe other people were still coming.  Another hour went by, and he seated another group of people in one of the tables,  it didn't appear that they were together at all.  When we left 10 minutes after that there was still one vacant table that no one used. I asked to speak the manager and he was in a conference call.  I called Josh Clark later this afternoon and told him about our experience.  He said that they had been holding those tables for a large party, but the people just never showed up.  My guess would be that Bunker realized after 20 minutes that they weren't showing up and that is when he seated those ladies.  At that point why wouldn't he ask us if we would like a seat in the shade?  I know he saw us because he looked me right in the eye after he seated the ladies.  Josh apologized for the situation but said that he "was honestly shocked that anyone would have a problem with Bunker because he was the nicest man he knew" I said I was just as shocked after the way Bunker treated me that he would be considered a nice man.   I strongly suggested that if they have cameras in the restaurant, he might want to review them to see Bunkers expressions and aggressive behavior.  Josh did say that he didn't know why someone didn't offer us a shady spot once they realized the large group was a no show, but he would do some more investigating. We just wanted a nice lunch with our mother but left Pinstripes feeling that we were not valued customers and that if we never came back again that would be just fine with the staff at Pinstripes. I would like to say that our waiter Andy was awesome, and we did enjoy our food. Ps, I did get the name of the regional director (Brent) and his email. I messaged him that day (7/13/21), but still have not gotten a response. read more

First, the positives: The restaurant area itself (first floor) is well-laid out, very nice and open with an inviting atmosphere. One member of the party enjoyed the cobb salad (without the deli-meat turkey, due to a dietary restriction); and another party member enjoyed the crispy potatoes and sausage in the Pintastic breakfast. Now the negatives, hence the 2 stars: The service. Granted, the waitress was new, and she seemed nice enough, but lacked the personality and communication to help make our meal more enjoyable, especially since we were celebrating a special occasion, and noted so on the reservation. The wait. It appears that the kitchen was short-staffed, so there was a very long wait for the food. The waitress didn't communicate this or set this expectation up-front, nor did she check in on us at any point to acknowledge the significant delay. A couple sitting a few tables away even walked out, stating to our same waitress that they had been waiting an hour for their order. The food. The avocado toast -- Oh, how I wish I had a picture to show how pathetic and unappetizing it was: a basic, barely toasted slice of bread with a sparse and super-thin smear of subtly brown-tinged avocado spread and a sad sprinkle of crushed chili pepper; it both looked and tasted slightly off. The lobster bruschetta was very uninspired: tasteless scrambled eggs with small cut-up pieces of lobster and shrimp on toast, with no added spices or flavorings -- had to add salt and pepper from the table to season it myself. We were also unpleasantly surprised to be charged extra for an unnecessary additional slice of toast (since the waitress was not clear about how much/what size toast actually came with the Pintastic breakfast, when our party member had inquired). Lastly, the waitress never asked us if we would like to order any dessert (for the record, we didn't, as the preceding meal itself was so underwhelming and prolonged already), and she simply brought out the bill. This marked the lackluster end to an unsatisfactory and substandard brunch. Due to all of these issues, the overall experience was very poor and disappointing. I regret choosing this place for the special occasion and wish we would have gone elsewhere so that we actually could have had an enjoyable meal and pleasant experience. read more

I needed to plan a birthday party for my mom while living 400 miles away. Luckily I knew Pinstripes in my own town and thought to reach out to the one in Edina. Andrea made everything incredibly easy- brunch for 40 in a private room upstairs and a bocce ball court rental-all for a price that didn't break the bank. The guests all had a great time-it was comfortable, lots of space to move around and gorgeous views. Brunch was fantastic as always. Perfect mix of choices for our crowd. We got no hassle about bringing in our own cake and the server was able to mix up our bloody Mary's and mimosas for us. Best of all-my mom was thrilled. I was very happy with our server Allie, though I wish I could remember the managers name because he was great too! read more

We were here last week. It was very busy, which is good in some ways, but I'm guessing they like so many other places lacked cooks and servers. I noticed the very slimmed down menu, and ordered the ribeye meal. Unfortunately everything on my plate was burnt. I think this place is understaffed and probably doing the best it can, which is why I'm giving it a 3 star review. I did wish my server would have checked in with us. I'm from St. Paul, so I'm getting the fact that I had to drive from there to Edina to eat here, out of the way. That's Part of why I'm disappointed so take everything after with a grain of salt. And I was part of a party and we came a little at a time, over about an hour. But anyway, nice setting, felt very underdressed in a tee shirt and jeans. I got the crispy chicken sandwich, and the sandwich was pretty good, fries were cold and prettttty tiny. I thought I was eating Frenches fries onions disguised as fries. Did I mention they were cold. I also like beer. Not a very large tap list and not a. Lot of variety. However, I am used to tap houses but I eat our at a variety of places, I just think most places should have a better tap list. Seems like industry standard. It's getting two not because that it's really bad, but nothing they did would make me want to go back there, nothing stood out food or beer wise. Pinstripes is a great place to go to for a family dinner. Every time we go our kids eat well, play bocce ball and actually want to spend time with us. You can't beat that. The food is always suprisingly good. I don't think i have ordered anything I wouldn't eat again. The noise level is pretty high. They have a beautiful outdoor patio with a fire pit. It would be a great place to have a drink. Valet parking is free which is great because the parking isn't very good unless you go in the ramp. read more

I was here for a private function with a conference actually and the place was great. We bowled and hung out at the bar and then had a sit down dinner. One of the nice things about it was how airy and bright it was inside as well as all the outdoor seating - it was a gorgeous Septemeber day so that was a nice option, plus at night they had firepits to keep you warm. The bowling was fun and the dinner was a delicious caeser salad with a few different entree options passed around family style (grilled baby back ribs/mashed potatoes, penne pomodoro and a one other shells dish that escapes me but it was very good). Overall, a great experience and I'd recommend. Service was terrific too. read more

I bought a Groupon for Pinstripes 8+ months ago & to be honest, I was apprehensive to use it based off Yelp reviews. However, with an expiration date fast approaching, Ryan & I decided to go for dinner last night. Walking in, the place is gigantic. There is a host desk as soon as you walk in but since no one welcomed us, we wandered around for a while trying to figure out where to go. Walking past the bar we found another host desk; THE desk we needed. The hostess told us there was a 15-20 minute wait, but since the bar area wasn't crowded, we opted to sit there instead. I ordered the pear salad & the pulled pork sandwich and Ryan ordered the prime rib dip. Our food came out within 10-15 minutes of ordering it. The salad was so salty it was hard to eat. I've never thought a dish was over-salted in my life, so that should say something! The coleslaw was a little bland for my liking. The sandwich was good, not great. I enjoyed the fries a lot, though. I tried a couple bites of Ryan's sandwich & thought it was good! We had impeccable service from the moment we sat down to the moment we left. Maybe since it was a Wednesday night and not a weekend? I'm not sure. But the bartender/waitress who took care of us was amazing. Overall, we had a good first experience here. It made me want to come back & try more dishes; my friend recommended the tenderloin sliders and gnocchi & yellowfin tuna dish that I'll definitely try next time! read more

Great double date spot, trendy, tasty, fun! I've been here on multiple occasions, for both work sponsored events and personal. They have bocce ball and bowling activities, two full bars, a restaurant, event room, live music on weekends, and a great patio with a view of the lake. The beers are usually around $6 for a pint, and the specialty cocktails on the menu are currently $10. The beers on tap are kind of limited, only 6 beers but they are the trendy local options which is nice. They have a large wine list and this place certainly caters more to the wine drinker. The food is all good. I've had the full spread of catered appetizers for the corporate events, all the way to the burgers, pasta, and sandwich entrees. Everything is presented nicely and tastes as it should. I haven't had anything exquisite that stands out as a must have, but I also haven't had anything I would recommend against. The apps are around $8-10 and the dinner options are between $10-30 or so, just a bit on the higher end for standard restaurant fare in the area. The prices are fair I believe for what you get. The staff is friendly, well trained, and prompt. They are professional and certainly cater to the "higher end" or "corporate" crowd that comes here. They remind me of servers at wedding events(which they can handle upstairs). I subtracted 1/2 a star because they often schedule corporate events right on Friday or Saturday night, so the bowling and or bocce can essentially be booked solid. I've tried twice now to go on those nights and basically was turned down for what was described to me as booked parties. Maybe I'm not booking early enough, but whatever the case that has been a letdown on weekends. The second 1/2 star I am subtracting is for the beer selection, they need to step it up and offer at a minimum 10 tap beers. I have home brewing friends who have similar amounts of beer on tap as this extremely popular bar. Overall, great place to entertain friends or a group of coworkers. The prices are fair, the food is good, and the games are fun(bocce especially!). Only things to watch out for is the extremely busy gaming on weekend nights and the short tap beer list. Last weekend was my second time to Pinstripes. The first time was at a Yelp event...I hadn't even heard of it before then. I'm sure glad I went to the Yelp party at Pinstripes, because that experience is what brought us back! I'm not a serious bowler, so I think the lanes are just fine. But I was with a more experienced and competitive bowler who indicated that the lanes were not oiled up to "league" standards, so this may not be the place for bowlers that take the game too seriously. I have not played bocce ball or lawn bowling here, but would be interested in going back to try it out too. I like all the activities they have: bowling, bocce ball and multiple fire pits outside (with blankets for those who get too cold). Although it's more expensive than typical bowling alleys, you get what you pay for with the ambiance! I enjoy the cozy, leather couch setup with the lanes split on two levels so the atmosphere remains intimate. The food, especially the flat-breads, is good and they have good beer choices...much better food and drinks than your typical bowling alley! The only complaints I have are the setup of the couches and the dark lanes. The couches are a little too close together if you don't know the people on the lane you share the couches with and it's hard to maneuver around to get your food/drink when you are done bowling. The lanes just need a little more light on them in order to see the lines...it almost appears to be a cost saving measure. Although it is expensive, I will definitely go back every once in awhile because of the atmosphere and food! read more

I love this place! The atmosphere is great, whether eating inside, or outside by the bonfire with the view of Centennial Lakes, it's really great. The food is delicious and not your typical "bowling alley" fair. They have a full Gluten Free menu as well, where I have had the roasted chicken with risotto twice, and each time it was delicious. Parking can be tricky in the lot, as it fills up fast with nearby businesses, but there is a full ramp that connects to Pinstripes and the Container Store. read more

For starters the service was extremely slow. I ordered a coffee and it came 15 minutes later. When I did order, I picked the steak and eggs and it was not worth the price at all. The potatoes were overcooked and shriveled up with only a few on my plate. I asked for two fried eggs and received two sunny side up eggs. I enjoy the food and the atmosphere here, and the first time I went the service was great...we were in the bowling alley and our waitress was attentive and brought out our food as it was ready. Also..who doesn't like delicious high end food while bowling? The downside though, came with my second trip when I sat in the dining area with my grandparents. Our waiter was inattentive and rarely around. When it came time to order and we asked questions about the menu he didn't know the answers and had to go ask others in the restaurant. It was frustrating and not what one expects with a restaurant like this. It was nice, but not worth the price unless you're looking to spend money on a novelty place with good food and good entertainment. read more

We had a good time playing bocce ball here. Make sure you call & book though...we did not and they didn't have an opening until 10pm (we were there at 7) which was strange because it was empty when we got there but the hostesses up front said they had some reservations coming. We went & sat in the bar. We were going to skip bocce ball & just have a drink & listen to the 2 man band (saxophone & piano players) which was really nice on a Friday night. We had a couple awesome waitresses. The one in the bar we told how we were bummed we couldn't get on the list any sooner than 10 to play & she said many times people don't show up. So she went totally out of her way & put her name down on the list for the no shows! Sure enough she got us in!! She let us know to go up to the hostesses & let them know we were up. They were all very confused. They were very young & it took all 3 of them to figure it out after I explained to them 3 times how we were taking the no shows spot & that our waitress put her name down for us. Once we got through that it was all good. We had another amazing waitress that again went out of her way for us! It was FREEZING in the bocce ball area (it's right by the door & its surrounded by huge Windows) so she asked the manager to turn the heat up. They did & it warmed up really quickly. We had a couple drinks & happy hour appetizers that were really good (stuffed mushrooms, artichoke dip, & hummus plate). I love the ambiance of this place & the service is top notch! Bloomington Jefferson HS Orchestra had their recent social event at PinStripes. The students absolutely had a blast playing bowling, bocce, and hanging out with each other. Not to mention... the food was so good! Megan, the event manager, did a fantastic job organizing the event. I was so amazed by the young serving staff. Okay so the wait staff ia professional and nice. We were there on a sunday afternoon and the weather was perfect to sit outside. The tables are nice and the menu is a good mix of italian and american. The bread came and was warm and the pestk olive oil dip is amazing. The bread has this sea salt cracker outside and warm center. Then we tried the fried mozerella which was nice. The marinara sauce was okay. Then I had the grilled chicken panini and my gf had the prime rib french dip on a preztle bun and omg it waa to die for. The bun was perfectly salted and didnt get soggy and the horaeradish sauce was very very tasty. The shoeatring fries were good but I am not a shoestring fry person. We had no room for desert. The only negative was the fact they didnt had diet coke. They serve pepsi products. We'll be back to Pinstripes and next time play some bocce or bowling. 4 out of 5 read more

came here as a part of a group dinner for the training program that I was attending in Minnesota. this loation was crazy busy on arrival and I could tell why as soon as we got in, regular bowling and bocce?! crazy! we got upstairs to the banquet hall only to find that the people running the training only paid for beer and wine, I tried to reason with the staff that I drank neither to see if I could at least have a drink with dinner, and unfortunately my request could not happen. so I paid 15 USD for a whiskey sour, and I have to say that it was a damn good whiskey sour, dinner was absolutely fantastic, the calamari and the CHICKEN & GOAT CHEESE pasta was insanely good. we moved back downstairs for bowling and it was a really good time, the lanes are very well kept, cleaned and the oil coverage was good as well. didn't have a chance to do bocce sadly (with the combination of dinner and 10-pin running late) but from what I heard everything was good to go on that end. one comment I have to make is that the outside looked really nice to chill out. muskoka style chairs and fireplace tables to keep people warm, and yes this place had them on even though I was visiting through a heatwave. great staff great location very very clean. no complaints overall and very much would love to come back! read more

I'm excited to review this restaurant, as we've just had a marvelous meal. I've been by this place, but always dismissed it a bit as a place to go bowling. There is an area for bowling here, but I don't know much about it. We were walking on the great walking paths nearby and decided to stop in for dinner. We sat on the patio, with a beautiful view of the paths. The ambience was natural, relaxing, and upscale. They have a great drinks menu, and we're thinking it might be nice to come by for drinks and appetizers sometime. The Italian wedding soup, Thursday's selection, was outstanding! Really so good that I'll be going back just for that. The fog and prosciutto flatbread was tasty and ample. The service was attentive and professional. We ordered the thin mint gelato for dessert and were so glad we did. It was fresh and especially good. We did late night Happy Hour (9pm-12am) and we were MORE than impressed over both the appetizer selections, price, quality of food and our service by Chloe. Pinstripes claims to be an event venue- and it's easy to see why. The entire upstairs can be reserved for events, complete with bocce ball and a bowling alley. My brother is celebrating his wedding today at Pinstripes and I've seen their event planner show two groups the space during our reception. Not just toured the space, but chose to sit down and talk logistics next to the wedding party playing bocce ball. I asked the manager not tour the space after the first group- but a second group toured shortly thereafter. You cannot call yourself an event venue if you do not respect your customers enough to schedule tours around events. It's unprofessional. It's rude. It's deeply inconsiderate. I will not be returning here for any reason. I will also never recommend this space to any friends or family in the future. read more

With good food, fun activities and an outdoor space Pinstripes is a reliable spot for a quick bite and activities. This is a family friendly spot but also seems to be frequented by adult groups. The menu isn't anything particularly unique, but the food is good. I had the pepperoni flat bread and veggie flatbread, both of which were great. The veggie flat bread was full of veggies-more than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. My favorite thing, albeit simple, was the hummus and avocado plate. Served with pita bread, cucumbers and bruschetta, it was fresh, filling and flavorful. They serve the full menu in the bowling area so you can eat and play or sit at a regular table depending on what you're up for. I've heard bowling reservations can be hard to get (they only have 8 or so lanes), so plan accordingly if you want to bowl. Overall, I thought it was on the expensive side for what you get (simple food and bowling), so not my first choice if I was going out for food and drinks only, but if you want some fun activities then Pinstripes is for you! read more

Decided to go bowling with a group of friends at Pinstripes. Being weekend night, it was very crowded, and we were told to return in a few minutes. A little disappointed, but okay because there are a plenty of restaurants and stores nearby (check out my Five Guy's review!). When we returned, we were promptly led to the bowling area, and began playing the game! Overall impression of the place : spacious, clean, and interactive. Although I cannot speak about food since we only played bowling, we had a lot of fun and did not experience any problems! Plus, a yelp check-in gives free sorbet coupon :). read more
