My friend and I met here for HH and it did not disappoint. It's unique and goes from 5-8!!! My friend and I got mozzarella stick which was cheesy good! I had the shrimp avocado wrap and my friend got the burger and salad! Both were deals for that day! I would definitely come back. The deals are amazing!!

Great bar with decent beer selection, weekly specials, and great happy hour deals. Plenty of space to gather a small/medium meetup group or friends. They also have an upstairs which is great for private events!

Crystal was amazing on the St. Patrick's Day she was such a joy and it was amazing time.

Wings are great. Fried hard, breaded, plus ranch. Brendan Bartender was so nice and hospitable. Went late night great experience. Try it out for some U street food and fun.

Perfect rainy Friday vibes! Stopped by for happy hour after work--wasn't too crowded yet, but the drinks were good, and the fried food was delicious. Cheat day well spent! Friendly service and a cool atmosphere made it even better

Nice bar in the DC area. It has great specials, food was real good, and the bartenders were nice. It's probably the best bar/sports bar for the price in the area. I'm a wings guy and these are quality wings. They must bread the wings a bit, but I love it because it soaks up the Buffalo sauce some more. The Buffalo sauce is real good as well, a good blend of hot sauce/butter/whatever else they use. My wife got the chorizo quesadilla and it was pretty good as well. Nice char and grill marks, chorizo made it a bit greasy but that's expected. Overall great meal. Definitely would recommend as a neighborhood bar!

Sudhouse has a awesome bar like atmosphere with great happy hour prices! Most dishes are between $4-9 and drinks between $4-6!! They also have a few tv's that show mostly sports games... we watched a tennis match! They have jamming modern music and bar type food and drinks! *The drinks we got weren't on the happy hour menu because we like to be extra !* Laura and Bridget were awesome! They were very attentive, made great dish suggestions and kept us and the other customers laughing the entire time. We'll definitely return!! Came to meet a friend on a Thursday night. First time here! Great mix of crowds of people! There's 3 floors. The middle floor is tiny and big enough for like 3 tables and overlooks the bar on the first floor. The top floor is kind of small too but they have some games up there. People were playing corn hole when I went up to look. I think there was another bar up there too Main floor, seemed like the bartender was the only person working - besides the people who brought out the food and cleaned the areas. So it seemed like it took a long time for her to swing around - but she was a beast, handling everyone's orders and drinks! Give her a raise :) Happy hour everyday from 4-6. A 2 min walk from the U street Metro. Mozzarella sticks were good! The buffalo wings were just okay- I wasn't a fan of the blue cheese lol

Both visits I had were excellent. They have a proper Irish draft list plus some others, and they pour a nice pint. I had bangers and mash my first night and the sausage was some of the best I've had. There was a good mound of mash and the gravy was dark and rich. I appreciated the onions added on too. Night two I got shepherd's pie and was quite happy. Rich sauce and mildly charred mash on top made for a fine meal. I'd gladly order the sausages again and would love to come back for the fish and chips. Worth noting: the service is excellent. Anne Marie is a saint dealing with...err...serving various personalities. Plus there was World Cup all over the TVs. The vibe is excellent Irish pub. I really hope we can go back again. She Said: I was happy that He agreed (happily agreed) to return to The Celtic House because I would have been bummed to miss out. I had the chicken pot pie which is darn near impossible for me to resist. Outside of my own and my dear Aunt Peggy's, this was some of the best pot pie I've had. The gravy was the right thickness, the chicken wasn't over cooked (which is hard to pull off in this format), and the puff pastry on top was light and fluffy but with enough oomph to it to hold up to the gravy. The only thing I'd change was more veggies in the dish, but that's my personal preference. As he noted, the service was terrific and I appreciated the aplomb with which our bartender managed her patrons. Potty Points: No trip to the potty for me on this visit!

I ordered the SW Salad ($16.50) with a steak add on ($9.00) at medium temp. I also ordered a cup of Clam Chowder ($5.95) as an appetizer. Chowder came out pretty much right on top of my salad, but no big deal. Chowder was decent taste, but only found one clam. Ok whatever. Salad came out looking like a side salad on a large plate with five slices of rare, tough steak. It was so rare, that it was extremely hard to cut through, but again, who was I going to talk to about it. No wait staff would even look my way. I couldn't even get a refill on my water and there is no place in the app to order a glass of water...so that's that. Unfortunately it was just an extremely bad experience for $40. I'll be looking for dinner somewhere else tomorrow night.

I visited as part of the full experience -- dinner downstairs at Birch & Barley, then up to Churchkey for drinks -- and honestly, it's one of the best evenings I've had in DC. Churchkey itself is everything a great bar should be. The beer selection is absolutely unreal -- hundreds of carefully curated labels spanning every style, region, and flavor profile you can imagine. What sets it apart is that the staff actually knows the menu. Our server walked us through a few options based on what we liked and landed us on perfect picks both times. That kind of genuine expertise is rare. The tavern pizzas from the wood-fired oven were a wonderful surprise -- thin, crispy, and the perfect companion to a cold draft. The smash burger also deserves a mention: simple, well-executed, and hits the spot. The vibe is warm and lively without being overwhelming. Great for a date, a group, or even just sitting at the bar solo with a good beer and good conversation with the bartender.
