However, the hours can be unclear, so if you spot it, def try it out. EXPECT TO WAIT We'd been eyeing this food truck for a while and finally decided to give it a try. There's a sign that explains each meal is made to order, so be prepared to wait. Our wait time was longer than expected, especially for a food truck, and since there was nowhere to sit, we had to stand around. Luckily, we had our pugs with us, so we walked them up and down the street while waiting. Next time, we'll probably place our order first, then head to Paleta Planeta next door to enjoy a paleta while waiting indoors. HANDMADE TORTILLAS I've learned recently that each tortilla is handmade! You can really taste the difference! SMALL SERVINGS, BIG FLAVOR I ordered the carne asada quesadilla and my husband got the carne asada burrito. I just had a really disappointing experience at this food truck, and I want to warn others about what to expect. When you order a burrito, make sure you explicitly tell them to fill it up because they skimp on ingredients and load it with 90% rice. Seriously, it's worse than Chipotle. Also, if you opt for the ribeye in your tacos or burrito, be prepared for an extra $4 per item; this isn't listed on the menu! When you order, insist they include everything you ask for, including salsa. And here's the kicker - always, and I mean always, ask for a receipt. The prices on the menu board don't match what you end up paying because the owner automatically adds a 25% tip for himself without your consent. My bill for one burrito and three tacos came out to $61, which is just outrageous. In the end, we had to take our burrito and tacos back home, strip off the toppings, and turn the whole thing into fried Just remember, always check your receipt here. read more

I've gone twice to the location this restaurant is at. Both times, Yelp, Google, and DoorDash note the spot is open. Both times, it's simply not there. This is incredibly frustrating, given I'm driving out excitedly and leaving dejectedly. What's the fix? Perhaps management could list accurate times on the websites people use.... Great food! The handmade tortillas are definitely a standout! I can't recall ever tasting a taco like that and so much flavor in the tortilla. I've had handmade heirloom corn tortillas before but not like this. These tortilla were also a good thickness. I got the mushroom tacos and absolutely loved it. I enjoyed it more than the pollo. Their truck was at Laguna Seca last weekend. We had a lot of choices. Read the menu board and we were in. So tasty, high-quality ingredients and balance of flavors. We had al pastor, carne asada and shrimp tacos. We went back all 3 days. I'd recommend maybe one more choice of salsa for we who like to get our heat on. There were tables and chairs for eating there, but they also pack for to-go, which is what I did. Best tacos in the South Bay for sure!! I went to DTSJ's Feast Mode event and had been sampling from each truck and finished with Pinto's tacos. They were definitely the best tacos I've ever had. I got the Jalapeño Relleno tacos with Al pastor, carne asada, and pollo tacos. They were sooooo delicious and I loved the crunch from the jalapeños. The tortillas are made fresh, and are great texture. The flavors of the food are great, and the salsas are delicious (the orange salsa is straight fire and has the right amount of heat). Tacos: Great flavor, the standout was the chorizo. Tacos Pinto: The blend of flavors is what I'll be returning for. The meat gets hidden a little bit, but the addition of beans and combination of flavors is freaking bomb. Quesadilla: Huge hit with the kid on his, we had ours with the lengua which was basically melt in your mouth tender. Burrito: My wife got the al pastor burrito and said the pastor was great and the rice reminded her of her abuela's! We also got the Agua Fresca (blueberry horchata) and it was not too sweet with just a hint of blueberry. It was great!
