    Inside of Delmas Market

This taqueria is located inside of delmas market. I just moved into the neighborhood and had this spot on my Foodie list. I got the Carne Asada Burrito. This thing was huge!!! I actually split it with my daughter! Great flavor and ingredients put together! They dont have refried beans. Just whole beans. It was still delicious! I also ordered the Carne asada tacos. They were ok. A bit on the dry side but not so bad. The guy working was super friendly! The inside is very unique as its shared space with delmas market but it seems very neat and organized!

The al pastor super burrito was delicious. This taqueria is located inside of a corner store but the flavor and quality of the food was great so definitely a hole in the wall. If you are going to the SAP Center and need to pick up food definitely try this place. There is nowhere to eat your food in there so it is to-go only. The woman working was super friendly and did a great job making my burrito. Generous portions and flavorful.

First time here. Craving a "real" burrito and was nearby. The person behind the counter may have been the owner and I totally forgot to get his name. I told him I couldn't decide between the carne asada or the al pastor so he suggested I blend half and half. My first time trying it and it was a great idea. I'm really glad he suggested it and was willing to do it. I had the Super so I could have avocado. I'll be back!

    Torta with cabeza meat

We were in town for an event at the SAP center and there was about a 2hr intermission and we wanted lunch somewhere within walking distance. I found this place on yelp and wanted authentic Mexican food since we were in the bay. I saw the great reviews and decided to try this place. It's in a mini mart or liquor store so there's no way to dine in and they accept cash only, FYI. There is some seating near by at the Amtrack station across the st with benches only and no tables. But if you don't feel comfortable staying in this area, then maybe try finding a park. I know there were a couple near the SAP Center but, near this business, I'm not sure if there are any other parks within walking distance. I had the cabeza taco and a cabeza meat torta and added beans. Cabeza meat isn't always available like authentic Mexican places, so it's great that you can order it here. That had to be the best torta I've ever had and again, I added beans and the employee made it exactly how I ordered it. The way she grilled the bun for the torta, it's soooooo good! The cabeza meat is stewed in a soup like broth like it traditionally is in Mexico, yum. The taco was awesome delicious too. If I knew I could finish it, I would've ordered a carnitas taco but already was so full with the torta. My dad ordered a carne asada burrito with just meat mostly and said how great it was. He also noticed that the flour tortilla looked like it had been made fresh or at home. I'm not sure if the corn tortillas are made fresh or not? But the food here is awesome and authentic so it's worth venturing to this part of town and ordering togo, although the area isn't probably the safest? lol the food is awesome so just plan accordingly and that's usually where the best Mexican food is.

Made a stop here after a stop at the SAP center based on the reviews and they do have good tacos. But come on...cash only...it is 2023...who carries cash anymore. They conveniently have an ATM machine inside which charges a premium if you need access to cash.

cabeza "super" burrito. more like, super small

Small for a 15$ burrito. Lots of tortilla wrapped around itself with hardly any filler. A shame.

I got the Shrimp Burrito n it was delicious, it's 14 bucks but worth it. located inside a grocery store, don't let that fool you. I smashed it in minutes lol

Iv been working down the street from this hidden gem for about two years. I kept hearing everyone talk about how good their burritos were. . Finally I decided to go find out for myself. They have plenty of parking in the back. I went in around noon on a Friday. There was no one there which was great because I was starving! I ordered the super burrito. It comes with rice, beans, sour cream ,avocado, cheese and your choice of meat. Also got tacos. 1 steak 2 Carnitas and 1 lengua (tongue), I got the salsa on the side. They have two salsas, red which is spicy and the green which is very mild. It all came out to around $30. That's not including drinks. A bit pricey but so worth it!! The burrito was delicious! The meat was full of flavor, I haven't had a good burrito in such a long time. The tacos were great as well. I would get the lengua and steak again. This is going to be my go to burrito spot.

Taqueria inside a liquor store. It's actually pretty common especially in San Jose. If you've never seen or been to one, GO! You won't be disappointed! Craving a burrito and even some trucks/restaurants doesn't compare to Imperio. They are definitely NOT skimpy about their burrito. You could share with someone, eat half and eat the other half later (that's what I did and it was only 10 minutes later lol) or boss it out and eat the whole thing in one sitting I love spicy and their salsa is SPICY. I mean good spicy and I'll get it on the side next time to moderate it and take a couple bites without it. I knew the burrito was going to be a generous size but I got tacos anyways! why notttttt. Their tacos are pretty good too. Carne Asada everything. Forsure coming back

    Al Pastor Super Burrito

was looking for a good taqueria to get a burrito. lots of ppl recommended this place as a lowkey spot on tiktok (it's inside a convenience store) and IT WAS AMAZING. i got the super burrito which was moist with flavorful salsas and HUGE. actually the best burrito ive ever had and im from LA so ik whats good. man who made my burrito was also super friendly and helpful. will be making the drive from upper bay to get this burrito again

Not the best due to some fat and gristle on the carne asada but still 5 star considering the big size!

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

It is not what I consider authentic Mexican food.

We waited 1.5 hours to be seated while half the restaurant sat empty. After we were seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks, another 30 minutes before our order was taken, and then an hour for the food to arrive. Throughout the wait, several servers were gathered in the corner talking and laughing while tables--including ours--were left unattended. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and the shrimp was so chewy that I couldn't finish it. It was honestly one of the worst shrimp dishes I've ever been served. I've seen countless influencers giving this place glowing reviews, and after eating here, I simply don't believe them. My experience was the complete opposite. If you appreciate good food and good service, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere else.

The staff were attentive, gave great menu recommendations, and constantly came by to refill our water. Very spacious dining room. We started with the Queso Fundido, served on a small hot plate with chilis, garlic, and oil on top. It's basically a block of cheese served with chips. Even with the hot plate, it didn't stay gooey for long, but it was a pretty good starter. The Coconut Campachano was creamy and refreshing. My wife is Latina, so we're pretty familiar with authentic Latin/Mexican flavors, and from the moment we walked in, we were a little unsure of what to expect. We completely understand we're in Willow Glen and that Copita is going for a more upscale take, but for us, authenticity and flavor still have to be at the heart of the experience. Our waitress was very friendly and polite, and this review is absolutely not a reflection of her service. However, when we asked about the style of the food, there seemed to be a little hesitation in explaining it, which made us even more uncertain about what we had gotten ourselves into. I don't like bashing restaurants or their food, so I'll simply say that, unfortunately, the highlight of our meal was the chips and salsa. The cocktails, on the other hand, were good and definitely not shy on the alcohol! Also, don't expect large portions. The restaurant is clearly aiming for a more upscale presentation and experience, so the plates reflect that. Overall, Copita just wasn't for us. This was our first visit and unfortunately will probably be our last. I genuinely wish them success, but I think a few changes, especially when it comes to the flavors and authenticity of the food could make a big difference.
