I told him it was my first time there and that I was excited to try the pupusas everyone had been recommending. I ordered two revueltas, and Jorge was incredibly kind. He even offered me a complimentary pupusa and asked what kind I wanted. Since I had no allergies or preferences, I told him to surprise me with his favorite. He chose the garlic and chicken pupusa, and it was a great recommendation. The revueltas were absolutely delicious. The combination of beans, chicharrón, and gooey cheese was packed with flavor, and when paired with the sauce, it was even better. The garlic and chicken pupusa was amazing as well. The chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful from the very first bite. What stood out most wasn't just the food, but the hospitality. The interior looks very well decorated, painted in purple with lots of interesting pictures on the walls. They have a really good selection of pupusas. I tried the garlic and cheese, which wasn't overly garlicky, but it had a lot of cheese and good flavor. Their pupusas are a bit larger than average, and I think two of them would make a meal! They are $5 each, which seems like a bargain in this economy. We also ordered a super nachos to share, which were good, but they used cheese sauce and not cheese melted under a broiler. A wonderful family moved in to the old Iguana burritozilla space and has made it a delicious place to get scrumptious pupusas. There is outdoor seating with accessible entrance but I didn't see another way to go up the stairs to order. There is a lot of indoor seating and right now it is decorated for the holidays. A huge win for me is that they were willing to make my pupusas without cheese (not all places are). The wait was about 7-10 minutes because they make the pupusas to order. They were very large and had a solid amount of filling. They were perfectly grilled and not greasy. The salsa is a little spicy and the curtido (cabbage topping) didn't have salt so I think that good improve a little. They use pinto beans I think, which is fine, but I prefer the black beans. They also sell Mexican classics like burritos, tacos, tortas, flautas, and gorditas. The service is super friendly- you order at a counter and they bring your plate to your table but you bus your own table. Cumbias on the surround sound make it festive and the vibes are fun! Saw this place pop ip on the DTSJ page I follow on instagram so decided to try it for lunch. They have pupusas and tacos. Let me just say the crown jewel here is the pupusas. The tacos are basic and the tortillas aren't handmade so they're nothing special, instead order several pupusas! The pupusas are made fresh and you can taste freshness. I liked how the owners of Entre Comales made brought their own style and colors to the restaurant to make the place stand on its own. I made a pit stop to grab dinner for my family and was pleased to find that Entre Comales offered pupusas! Finally, a pupuseria in the area. I was greeted by the friendliest employee. He was genuinely excited for me to try their pupusas, and he even offered me a complimentary cup of their hot chocolate that was delicious. He did such a great job hyping them up that I ended up buying different kinds to share among my family. That said, a pupusa was less than $5 each, which felt like such an incredible value especially these days. My entire order was less than $50 and included 5 pupusas (papas & chorizo with no cheese, papas & chorizo, cheese & garlic, cheese & zucchini, cheese & chicken), a street taco, a super taco, and chips with guac and salsa. I'm telling you... this was quite the steal. Can't even get a Doordash order for 2 people less than $50. The hype was real on the pupusas. I haven't had them for years, but they have made a comeback thanks to Entre Comales. I'm not a pork eater, so I tried the cheese & zucchini, cheese & garlic, and cheese & chicken. They were all tasty, but I must say that the cheese & zucchini was my favorite. Do not sleep on the salsas to dress up your pupusas. The red, green, and orange salsas were all excellent, and I also loved the fresh slaw that went with the pupusas. Knocking off a star since I did find the pupusas and chips to be really oily, but I'll be back to try their taqueria side of the menu. read more

The pupusas were huge but so good! I recommend the jalapeno cheese if you like spicy, we also had garlic cheese and potato/chorizo. Also the carne asada quesadilla! Bomb!
