Do not come here. At first i was looking forward to eating here. BUT the Owner was rude and denied us service at 9:00 PM when they advertised that they closed at 10:00 PM on their doors AND online. Dishonest about time, must be dishonest about their ingredients! Stay away. P.S. the photo was taken an hour before 10:00 PM

Over Charge receipt with no explanation before I paid

2 Stars due to food was okay, Now the problem at hand. I asked if I could have 2 Chicken Tacos and one Steak Taco,The price for 3 Chicken Tacos is $10.99 and 3 Steak Tacos are $12.99. Once I sat down I looked at my receipt and noticed I was charged a extra $2.99 and when I asked the cashier she said it was cheaper to charge me that way instead of for each once Alcarte. The cashier actually asked the person how to charge me. If I'm a customer and you know there's a up charge for substituting an item aren't you supposed to let me know before you even make my order to see if I'm okay with it, instead of adding a charge more than the actual cost, plus another charge on top of that. I really enjoyed eating here and was looking forward to try there Lamb Chops. Don't look like I'll be back. So for those that understand my problem I'll go slow. 3 Chicken Tacos cost $10.99,3 Steak Tacos cost $12.99 and I ordered 2 Chicken Tacos and one Steak Taco. I would have been okay if they had charge me $12.99 but not $12.99 & $2.99 for 2 Chicken Tacos and one Steak Taco. I do deserve some of the blame for not checking my receipt before sitting down but I had to eat something to take medication. The blunt of the blame actually starts with the older Man taking my order and knew there's a up charge and not letting me know to have the choice to be charged extra , especially when it don't add up. Sounds like theft by deception to me.

    FOOD WAS AMAZING 10/10

After a long day of looking at games at GameStop, my friends and I decided to stop by and get something to eat real quick, and honestly, it was surprisingly so good. If I could give him more than five stars, I would #LoveThisMan

Half chicken dark meat, creamed spinach and fried rice with chicken.

I have been in this place a few times before and have really loved what I ordered. The steak nachos are delicious as well as the lemon pepper wings but today I got the half rotisserie chicken with cream spinach and the fried rice and chicken. The chicken was a little dry even though I got all dark meat and the rice was also a little dry but the main reason for the two stars is because of the service I received. I gave the girl $50 for my meal and she tried not to give me my change. I was owed $35.17 back and she only handed me back the $35. She told me they didn't have any change in the register. I told her that she needed to find the manager for the change. She ended up braking open a change roll of pennies just to be petty after I told her that she could have took a dime and Nickle out of the tip cup. Then asked was I really going to hound a 17 year old for 17 cent. This is my money she owe, if I would have owed it for my meal, they would have told me to get it.

The chicken burritos are BOMB. They are a nice size AND they are super tasteful. Delivery is always good and pick up is even better.

Well Joe's Seafood checks every box and some others I didn't mention. The entire staff is professional, in a warm welcoming way. They ensure that your experience is a delightful one, filled with superb pampering service. And then there's the food !!! This is when I was totally floored... for starters the assorted bread basket for the table is absolutely delicious ( I literally had to force myself to stop alternating between the muffins and mini biscuits ) Since I was eating light today I ordered the seafood salad ( chilled lobster & shrimp on top ) and the salad was so fresh and had that crisp salad crunch that mesmerized my taste buds with every bite !!! DC hands down is one of the top restaurant city's in the country and Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab is a big reason I can make that statement with absolute confidence !!!

They could have fit in a thimble. The stone crabs were tasteless. The best was the coleslaw. It took forever to get a glass of wine and ice tea. I will not recommned it to anyone. Ambiance was OK, the place was packed. People were very casual, which surprised me for such an expensive restaurant.

For appetizers, I ordered the fried oyster deviled eggs, and wow... they were so good. The little fried oysters on top of the deviled eggs were such a perfect combination. Crispy, creamy, flavorful -- definitely something I would order again without hesitation. For my entrée, I had the whole grilled branzino served over a green bean and fennel salad, and let me tell you... this was hands down one of the best branzinos I've ever had. The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked beautifully. And that green bean and fennel salad underneath? So much better than I expected. I actually considered swapping it out, and I'm so glad I didn't because it completed the dish perfectly. Every bite was delicious. I also had a cocktail called the Endless Summer -- a tequila drink with this amazing foam on top -- and it was excellent. I asked the bartender for a recommendation, and she absolutely delivered. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I went by myself, sat at the bar, and genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, and just an overall really enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back, and I absolutely recommend checking it out if you're at the Harbor.

And that alone shows just how consistent they are when it comes to providing outstanding service and a menu that never disappoints ( literally ) I wanted something I never personally tasted , so I tried the Branzino fish and was pleasantly surprised at how fluffy and seasoned it was. And when it comes to getting everything kicked started, you can never go wrong with the double fried chicken wings ( best in the business by a long shot ) So this coming spring and summer The Walrus Oyster & Ale House will be my favorite sit down location in the DMV area !!!! FYI: The have outside seating and a really cool happy hour !! ( you got to try the local oysters during happy hour )

Hank's Oyster Bar - Alexandria on May 26, 2026…read more Upon learning that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band would be performing at Nationals Stadium in D.C. toward the end of May 2026 I invited my two brothers, a sister, and a family friend to join me at the concert. As an Old Town resident for the past 15 years, I've always included Hank's Oyster Bar - Alexandria in my short list of favorite restaurants when friends and family visit. Happily, we were able to book a table for five, and we had a perfectly wonderful meal there the night before the concert. We started with a dozen fresh oysters for the table - 1/2 dozen Salty Wolfe Oysters ($23), shown as Hank's own proprietary oyster from the Lower Chesapeake, Virginia, along with 1/2 dozen Chef's Selection of the freshest East Coast oysters on the half shell ($22). The five of us around the table all tucked into some of the best oysters ever. The table ordered fish and chips (Old Bay seasoned fries, Cole slaw, $24), two of us ordered oyster po'boys ($21), one had the Ceasar salad ($14; add: (3) shrimp $8, oysters $8, salmon $16, or crab cake $18), and I had the New England clam chowder with bacon ($12) and a small plate of steamed PEI mussels with grilled crostini ($21). Don't let the description mislead you - this small plate of nicely seasoned mussels was large and when coupled with the soup made a perfect meal. Service was friendly, well-informed about the menu items, and prompt without ever feeling rushed. As always, breaking bread at Hank's is a treat.

Our waiter was super attentive, always in good spirits, and checked on us frequently throughout the meal. We started with a half dozen oysters on the half shell. They missed a few items from our appetizer order at first, but everything was sorted out pretty quickly. The oysters were solid but still fresh and enjoyable. We both ordered the fish and chips, and honestly not bad. The fish was seasoned really well without being overly salty, the fries were solid too, and overall it made for a satisfying lunch. I also tried the mango ginger sparkler, which was refreshing too. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a solid lunch option. Parking can be a little tricky with the construction nearby, but there's underground parking at the Sheraton across the street if needed.
