We stumbled into Cuvée during a girls' weekend in Fredericksburg, and it ended up being one of our favorite stops! We shared a few bottles of rosé and spent way longer than we planned because the atmosphere was just so inviting. The wine bar is set inside a beautifully restored historic home, with several cozy rooms that make it feel like you're relaxing in someone's stylish living room rather than a typical wine bar. It has such a warm, welcoming vibe. We loved that they also have a piano bar with live music in the evenings, it would be such a fun place to spend an evening! The owner even stopped by our table to check on us, chat for a bit, and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. That personal touch really stood out and made us feel so welcome. Whether you're looking for a wine flight, a bottle to share with friends, or just a cozy place to unwind after shopping on Main Street, I highly recommend stopping by. Apparently singing "friends in low places" in a baritone will get you asked if you are sober enough for another glass of wine. The two stars is NOT for the piano player Pierson Keating, who is great, for whom I would give 5 Stars. For clarification I have had a total of 3 glasses of wine since noon and it's currently 7 o'clock and I am writing this review as I am leaving. I have a strong understanding of TABC rules and regulations, and this question was misplaced and pretty rude. Pierson, the pianist, asked my group to sing a song we requested because he was unsure of the lyrics, then the staff asked the group to sit down. Not sure if this place is catered to the older crowd or just not accustomed to having girls who like to have a good time, but I wouldn't come back here if you payed me. Staff 2.7/10. Food 6.7/10. While I enjoyed the flight of red wines, I had to look the wines up myself on my cell phone. Myself and two female friends were the only table in the place. Our server (I believe the owner) said she would be right back, then proceeded to a table of men I thought were locals. I finished the three glasses to taste as did my friends. Took about 30 minutes. She never came back to tell us about the wines or to check on us. We finally laid cash on the table and walked out. For a wine tasting wasn't worth my time. Sad. read more

Cannot recommend this place enough! Comfy interior with a great piano bar. Booked for a party of 14 well in advance and we had a "private room" right off the main room with the piano. Came by Perspective Cellars after visiting a winery nearby with some friends. Located in downtown Fredericksburg, surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants. Convenient street parking can be found nearby which is great! We didn't make a reservation. Had a smaller group of 4 and walked in and got seated pretty quickly. This is a very intimate and social space. It feels like a little cozy house, where you can enjoy wine and small bites with friends. I got to try the pink moscato and the group shared a charcuterie board (they have a great cheese selection). The staff was friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. We had a large group reservation and they accommodated us in our own room that had cute seating and a cozy feel to it. They have a good variety of wine flights and single glass options. Fun tasting room right off the drag. Both indoor and outdoor seating. It was nice and slightly breezy, so we sat outside on the patio in 2 love seats, people watched, sipped on our wines, and enjoyed our cheese board with fig jam. My wife's Mendocino "Blanc de Blue" brut (~champagne) made with blueberry extract was excellent - 8/10. The blueberry extract gave it a very unique color and taste. A cute little wine bar that is located in an old house. They had a decent wine list and several flights to choose from. I chose the Texas local option which included a Viognier, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Viognier was natural and wasn't my favorite. I'm a fan of reds so it wasn't a surprise that I preferred the second two. I sat out on the patio since the weather was decent and I could people watch. The inside had a few rooms and they looked nice. It would be a good place to bring a group of girlfriends. read more

We really enjoy coming here when Andy is playing. They recently opened a second location and he goes between locations. They hired another piano player named Jeff but he isn't as good as Andy. He's very nice but way more chatty almost as if, if he talked enough he would be able to play less. Andy interacts with the guests but is quick and woven into the show. He also wasn't a great singer which I feel horrible saying but it wasn't as enjoyable. He also would say that he didn't know songs that the other guests would request and ask them to think of a new one. Andy was great at looking it up and trying it out. Anyway, I'm not sure if Jeff is always Andy's substitute but we will definitely be back when Andy is there. On a positive note the service is always wonderful. read more

This was our first wine tasting stop, and we were blown away! Taylor made our visit so enjoyable! The service is top-notch, and the wines were an adventure! It was so fun hearing about all the info about the wines we tasted and the areas they were from! We also loved that there were many nice spots to sit at. We chose to sit at the room on the left, and it was so cozy and private! My friend did the "wonderful whites" flight, while i did the "velvet, silk, and jam" flight! We were seated just before final call and the ladies working were beyond Amazing and welcoming. We were sat in the front room - 2 comfy chairs and a little table for drinks. There was another family of 3 on the large couch but for the close quarters we still couldn't hear each others conversations, which was nice. We were served promptly and they gave a great explanation of the wines we were sampling and the little snacks they provided to pair them with. They checked back on us as we worked through the flights and enjoyed some small talk. We walked away happy and with a couple of bottles. If you've ever been to Main Street in Fredericksburg, you know there are no shortages of places to drink wine. We arrived after dark on a chilly night looking for a little warmth and some wine, duh. We were greeted by our server and sad to learn they only had tables available outside but she assured us that she would seat us near a heater and provided us with blankets for our legs! It was PERFECT! The ambiance was something straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie! With the flickering gas heater, plush blankets and delicious Malbec we were feeling the warmth in no time. There was an acoustic show inside and we were able to hear the music perfectly, without it being too loud. The service was exceptional, the server was friendly and attentive and there is good selection of wines for everyone's palate! If you're looking for a nice evening on Main Street, this is your place. It was a dreary kinda rainy Saturday afternoon when we stopped in but we found places to sit easily in one of the rooms. We're not big drinkers so didn't order any wine but did get food. My husband and I drove to Fredericksburg for alittle getaway, the week after Thanksgiving!! Love all the wineries! This place is amazing!! We were greeted at the door by Dale, the general manager! His smile and personality are infectious! The decor is so cool in this older building that was the birthplace of Chester Nimitz, who became commander of the US pacific fleet in WWII. Love the Jazz and Jazz Christmas music playing in the background. The atmosphere is so relaxing. We both had a flight, my husband is not a huge wine drinker and went for on the the sweeter side flight and I tried the velvet touch - smooth red flight. My favorite on my flight was the Chateauneuf-du-pape, Alain jaume from rhone valley, France, my husband's favorite was the bracetto, bigaro from piedmont, Italy. Make sure you make this winery, one of your stops in Fredericksburg!! Also, the owner, Taylor, was amazing & came to visit us at our table and filled us in on the history of the winery and her story!! It was so interesting to hear! We will be back!! read more
