What a cute spot! Their pizza looks delicious! We didn't try the pizza tho. Ha! My companion and my self both ordered something else and I totally forgot to take pics of our meals, so grabbed a pic of our server's pizza! My friend had the chicken salad sandwich. I had the dill pickle soup. She loved her sandwich. I didn't love my soup... it was ok tho. We sat on the patio and loved that it was off the beaten path with easy parking. We defiantly would choose to go back... for that pizza!

Went for lunch on a Monday. Prices were affordable. I had a pizza and a salad and companion had a reuben sandwich with pasta salad. Was not the best pizza. But I would come back to try other things on the menu. The service was ok and the setting was rustic. They also had outside seating and could accommodate a lot of people. Lunch was not busy at all.

We went here for a drink and nachos. The server was very attentive and outgoing. The nachos and salsa hit the spot.

Stop by to have the pizza and catch up with Chris at the bar from the last trip. Always a great place to grab pizza.

The spinach-artichoke dip was creamy and tasty. Chips were very lackluster. Enjoyed my THC mary jane blonde, wife liked her sangria.

Only went there for frozen sangria's and dessert, but it was delicious! Would definitely go back if our stay was longer!

My wife eats meat so she had the schnitzel with red cabbage and German potato salad. I had the pecan crusted red fish with delicious green beans and German potato salad. All our food was delicious and served hot. I had a Stein of Paulander Hefeweisen imported beer which was very nice with my food. Christian was our server and he did a great job in meeting all of our needs. He was friendly and very professional. We will ask for him again when we eat there.

For those that have issues finding parking on the Main Street, it's good to note that they have a small lot in the back for customers as well. Alstadt Peach Radler - Top of the list of what I personally enjoyed at the Auslander. This beer was a light, crisp, and refreshing beer with a hint of peach flavor. Definitely something to enjoy on a hot day. This was my happy place drink. Beer Battered Mushrooms - The shrooms here were better than most other German establishments I've dined at. Reasonably sized mushrooms with a non overly heavy batter. Portions were bigger than expected and would readily satisfy a group of four. Jägerschnitzel - A fair sized slab of fried pork goodness smothered in a red wine mushroom gravy. The pork loin was a good thickness and not an overly pounded thin cutlet. Breading was good, but didn't stick much to the protein. Gravy was just okay in my opinion and had a hint of sourness to it for some reason. Not a terrible entree but wasn't mind blowing either. Currywurst - The bratwurst with this meal was a solid portion of meat that was full of porky goodness. Curry ketchup had the spice flavoring to it, but wasn't particularly strong. It was a fair entree, nothing mind blowing, but still a good comfort dish. Sides - All the entrees came with a choice of two sides. Fries were just fries... good, but nothing special. Mashed potatoes tasted like the usual suspect, mashed potatoes. Potato salad was properly cooked and prepared with some simple vinegary and cream flavors. Red cabbage tasted like vinegared red cabbage. All in all, the sides were just okay. Everything was for the most part clear cut of what was good and just okay. In that terms, there seemed to be a strange and wildly large chasm between what was okay and good in terms of the food. I was satisfied at the end of the meal, but at the same time not unhappy nor super happy with my meal. I was just... satisfied/okay. Food felt a bit overpriced for what we received, otherwise this establishment felt more like a one-and-done type of place.

I did see another negative review about the door guards, but these were Hispanic so they were probably different ones because they were super friendly and they even gave us recommendations on other places to visit. The place isn't fancy, but the brunette bartender that helped us was friendly & responsive, the drinks were good, and the locals showed us a great time! Or actually, we do have that drink but I don't feel like making it." How odd and lazy. He must have connections with the owners, cause he definitely wasn't hired for his bartending abilities or people skills. After he finally gave in to making it, he started blasting his music so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you talking. Even though they have AMI here. They will play what they like. Steer clear of here if you are looking for good customer service. When it comes to chill vibes, definitely check out Leroy's, Sozial Haus or Das Peach Haus for a fun time with professional service. I am not sure how this place stays open, and anytime I drive by the parking lot is empty. Looks like it could be a fun spot if they upped their game and hired better staff.

The chef toasted the English muffin properly, giving each bite a satisfying crunch. The twin crab cakes were also stellar - moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The yolk inside the perfectly poached eggs ran ever slightly, blending with the luxuriously lemony Hollandaise sauce. I decided to pair it with a classic lime daiquiri, served straight up in a coupe glass and garnished with a slice of dehydrated lime. If that's not your fancy, friendly bartender Fred can conjure up almost any brunch drink you can think of, including a piquant Bloody Mary that to me tastes of ancho.

Our server was a lovely older gentleman, who tried to accommodate us despite issues with the kitchen. The weather was nice and we enjoyed sitting outside with live music. Not so good things: Sitting outside was nice, except the musicians had their music way too loud for the size of the space and it was a restaurant, not a concert venue. We literally had to yell to hear each or the server. The kitchen was backed up so it took forever for our food to arrive. The food was also pretty expensive. We don't visit Fredericksburg very often, but I think we'll stick with Auslander when we want German food.
