This place blew away all the other spots in this town with above and beyond/top notch service and a welcoming vibe for me (a newbie). So great to see they treat both locals and new guys with the same kindness and respect. When I asked if there was a jukebox by chance the guy (I believe Skylar) said "No but what do you want to hear?" I asked for some Stevie Nicks and he said no problem. I didn't expect any of that and was overjoyed to hear some Stevie over the speakers. What cool people here! The patrons at the front gave me recommendations on good spots and were very welcoming. I ended up with a Spicy Italian. This one had a nice kick but not overpowering and a generous size along with some coleslaw and a pickle. I couldn't quite finish it all. What a cute spot! Their pizza looks delicious! We didn't try the pizza tho. Ha! My companion and my self both ordered something else and I totally forgot to take pics of our meals, so grabbed a pic of our server's pizza! My friend had the chicken salad sandwich. We picked a table and waited for service which never came. We had to walk up to the front three times to ask for menus and service. After waiting twenty minutes we got up and left. While walking out we noticed the service team out front hanging out and talking on the front porch. We sat down, and after 30 MINUTES of waiting I went up to the front to ask for a waitress to be told that there are servers out there and they will be with us shortly. So she first tends to a table that got there after us, then another table that had just sat down. After making eye contact a couple of times I'm sure I looked p-o-ed so she finally asks "do yall need anything". We got served O-K after that but waiting 30 minutes for a waitress and then not being served in order.... Made us not want to come back. The beer can pizza really didn't seem that outstanding despite other rave reviews... it was chicken with some BBQ sauce. The service was a bit disorganized. A cup of coffee came out cold, and the creamer was curdled. They did make a hot fresh cup after we informed them about the situation.... But we should never have been served cold coffee to start with. We asked for a spoon to stir the coffee and the server left but never came back. We went inside to find a spoon ourselves. Stopped by here for a late lunch with MIL and SIL. Place was quite busy given it was a Friday afternoon. It was seat yourself, so we choose a table in the backroom and then we waited, and waited and waited some more. MIL finally got up and asked for service and then we waited and waited and waited some more. Wanted to take a day trip up to Fredricksburg to kick off the holidays and the milder temps allowed for it. Our first stop had to be here for the Mediterranean Pizza as it's become a tradition the past few years. We ordered the large and on this visit, the slices were broken up not in triangles, but in grid-like cuts. Guess it's more manageable for the stringy, melted cheese upon serving? The toppings seemed a little less than years past when it seemed to be loaded. What I did forget that was a bonus were the chunks of roasted whole garlic pieces that softened up and was pleasurable with each bite. Not date-friendly unless your date also likes garlic, LOL!! We scarfed down on the pizza and had leftovers put in a styrofoam box. Great to avoid leakage but we also asked for a plastic bag. We came during the lunch hour and it wasn't very packed until we left. That's when we saw more people coming in. Service was prompt and our waiter let us try the Texas Clam Chowder which had a spicy kick to it. He also offered the Chicken Pot Pie special which is seasonal but we did come for the pizza since it has a yeasty, thin crust and Neapolitan style. I came here solo during a visit to Fredericksburg when I was walking around Main Street. Fully intending to order an appetizer and a pizza (eating only some of both), I started with the roasted garlic and goat cheese appetizer. Oh. My. Goodness. It was delicious. I've never had roasted garlic like that, it spread on the crostini like butter and was delicious. So good, that I finished all of the garlic but didn't finish the goat cheese. I loved the combination of veggies also offered on it. I wasn't planning on devouring most of the appetizer so I ended up skipping the pizza. The sangria swirl was a swirl of their frozen sangria and belini. A great drink that lasted me the entire meal and was really refreshing on a hot summer day. My server was attentive without being overbearing. He totally understood when I didn't order the entree I told him I was planning on ordering.
