The bacon adds to the smokiness, the acidity from the red onion cuts through and then the avocado, adds an extra layer of creaminess. If this salad were an Olympic sport. It would be a gold medalist! Do not leave here unless you order the salad! I saw the two words I have been looking for all vacation... sea scallops? Gnocchi Parmesan delicious perfection! Fresh herbs and interestingly enough a red sauce which was different but worked well the fresh veggies. Only drawback of the dish was there were only three scallops. They were however cooked perfectly! Presentation on food was what I would expect from a true culinary artist! Plates were wiped and not only tasted great but looked great! Get here early. During the wedding, the owner made an incredibly inappropriate comment directly to my bride, telling her that she "wasn't the prettiest bride" she had seen, but that "she'd do." There is simply no circumstance in which I can imagine that being an appropriate thing to say to someone and particularly a bride on her wedding day. Unfortunately, my interactions with the owner throughout the event were also extremely difficult and unprofessional. The issues weren't limited to customer service, either. The food was served cold, and the brisket was tough and chewy. As a wedding planner, I take vendor recommendations seriously because the professionals we recommend become part of our clients' experience on one of the most important days of their lives. Based on my firsthand experience working with Bella Vita, I would not feel comfortable recommending them to my clients or other couples.

This is by far the best restaurant north of the 45th!! I have a been a loyal customer since they opened, because you can't get pasta this good anywhere else. The flavors are layered, complex and yet so simply satisfying - comfort food at its best but interesting enough that you'll be wondering how these insanely tasty flavors were achieved (don't try this at home - it's impossible to recreate). My favorite by far is the Rigatoni Amatriciana - a traditional Roman pasta that has been absolutely perfected by this chef. Its got everything - sweet, savory, smoky, spicy, and perfect texture every time. Don't sleep on the small plates, who knew veggies could be this interesting? There's something for everyone and you're gonna wanna go with friends so you can try a bit of everything, it is all exceptional. The service is friendly, wine list is sophisticated and yet not intimidating. I feel comfortable with the atmosphere here each time I go, always approachable but still elevated. My ideal experience: start with the burrata and focaccia, sample a locally sourced vegetable-based small plate (turnips and carrots are to die for), then move on to the pasta. While the portions are large enough to share, I highly recommend getting a few to sample. The mushroom mafaldine, shrimp arrabiata, and rigatoni amatriciana are not to be missed. Not sure about all the fancy Italian words? Enter Leto's fantastic waitstaff who take the time to answer any and all questions and offer great recommendations. Why are you guys paying yelp to SPONSOR your CURRENTLY CLOSED restaurant? Why are you paying a web hosting provider to host your CLOSED RESTAURANT WEBSITE?! What kind of Neanderthal runs this place? We were trying to find this restaurant because we wanted sushi. Instead we went to your neighbor restaurant thinking it was you guys because they share the same address and name including "Pour" and are also a bar which you claim to be. Why would you rebrand but keep your old business name, website, and yelp sponsor up? Do you just like to waste money? You've wasted our time, and gave your neighbors the business YOU could have received if you were more competent. Do better and stop trolling your customers. read more

Because I hope to *eat dinner * last night, I ordered the lobster roll , which I ate. When the bill was delivered, we we charged for my husband's entree, my lobster roll, and my inedible steak. My husband asked the waitress to remove the charge for the inedible steak. She said she could not do so without speaking to her manager, who wasn't working. She eventually returned, with the inedible steak charge removed, and the lobster roll charges remaining. My husband paid the bill together with a generous tip for the waitress. She didn't incur a financial penalty. We have the receipts. For a restaurant owner to lie and claim we'd cheated them into giving us free food is baffling. To call us "uneducated " and suggest we "cook for ourselves " because we expected food to be edible is baffling. Needless to say, nobody owes Mark a positive review for bad food. Lying about the bill is no way to run a business either. Mark can rest easily knowing we (and our friends ) will never darken his door at the Bistro again, nor his other door at his Harbor Springs restaurant. As I said, there are other fine restaurants here that produce excellent food while respecting their patrons.

All of us thought our meals were terrible. We were there two years ago and our meals were fantastic. The quality has gone way down. We will not return.
