Visited this beauty today. Honestly one of my favorite breweries in the Chicago land. Vast creative selection and tantalizing flavor combinations. The "Hey man there's a beverage here" is a white russian imperial milk stout and it is one of my favorite brews. After introducing it to my friend he went to binnys the next day to buy out the rest of their stock. Their beers are mostly sold in bombers and are always in rotation. So if you find something you like it would be best to buy a couple because it might be awhile before they brew/release more. Unfortunately they don't have a tap room, but they give free 1 oz samples at the brewery shop (the dojo) of a couple of their beers. Cheers.

Up until last week, Pipeworks was strictly about brewing from this facility but now...they have opened The Dojo! This is strictly a bottle shop though they offer 1 oz samples of their brews. It is not a tap room by any means and is simply for purchasing their bombers & cans. Important to understand that before visiting the brewery. The Dojo opened on December 29, 2016 and I stopped in today (day 2), just in time to pick things up for the new year. I imagine they will have rotating things for sampling and rotating bottles in the shop with some staples like Ninja Vs Unicorn or at least some variant of that. They also sell some cool Pipeworks merchandise like sweatshirts, t-shirts, barware...I am going to pick up a $5 pint glass next time I'm in. Their beer is sold both in bombers and some 4 pack cans with a really good selection to choose from. Prices are on par with Binny's but Pipeworks prices shown are including the tax which is a respectable savings over the liq chain. And Pipeworks' sour beer bombers were significantly cheaper than Binny's, they were $6 inclusive of all tax! They only take credit/debit cards, but really who carries cash anymore? All that being said, I walked away with 2 Cranberry Berliner (a steal at $6 each), Mango Berliner ($6), Holloway ($6), Mud Monster ($9) and Barrel Aged Jones Dog Fall 2016 ($16). I'm so happy with all my purchases, even drinking one sour while I type this up. Guys in the shop are all well informed and friendly, super chill vibe and the Brewery Cat was being wheeled around in a wagon like royalty as 80s songs blasted. Loved seeing the inside of one of my favorite breweries in Chi City! Can you guys please open a tasting room!? I'll love you fo' life! If you love Pipeworks beer as much as I do, you're going to flip over their bottle shop. Honestly you can never get bored with Pipeworks because their beers are constantly changing with a few staples that are so incredibly delicious. They list most of their offerings at the Dojo on their site but be prepared, they have more for sale once you get there in person! They had a few barrel aged beers in the shop I'm looking forward to breaking open. Chicago Beer Lovers, get over to Pipeworks' Dojo and untapp the ish out of your drinks.

Do you know the hunt we've been on for this beer? Seriously. We've called every place that supposedly has it in stock and it sells out within minutes, hours, etc. Went to a bar in Chicago that was supposed to have it. Asked for it at the bar and she LAUGHED AT ME!! She said come on now, we sold out of that in an hour. Pipeworks is creating a crazy demand and aren't able to brew fast enough to keep up with it. We finally found a bottle of Ninja vs Unicorn at our local liquor store. They only had two bottles left when we called this afternoon. My husband begged the guy to save a bottle as we've started a state wide search and almost put out an APB. He said he'd hold it for us. We were starting to think that it was easier to find a real unicorn than the Ninja vs Unicorn beer. One sip and my life was changed. Okay not quite, but this shiz is pretty good. It's probably the smoothest beer ever, and I believe that non-beer lovers would even enjoy it. I wish they would open their tap room or that people would stop buying it so we could actually obtain it easily. This IS one of those things that I would drive state-wide to get. "Great" doesn't even begin to describe the sheer deliciousness of this beer.

Possibly one of the greatest beers I've EVER had in the Midwest and I live in Oregon. Great bar and service too

Great job Pipeworks! I'm thirsty for more! I'd love to have your beer where I work in the Nortwest

Fortunate enough to grab lil Citra after being canned. Doesn't get any fresher than that.

Love Pipeworks. If you never have had them stop procrastinating and pay them a visit. Make sure to try Danger Fruit with its prickly pear goodness. Kudos to the Pipeworks crew.

Walking into the dojo felt like we shouldn't be there, which made it more interesting. Walking into a small warehouse like place with merch and beer that surrounded the counter. A very nice gentleman helped us and we sampled a few of their new beers. We walked out with some dope beer unofficial beer sponsor and a shirt. Love this place--their beer never disappoints. Wish we lived closer bc obtaining the new releases in the burbs is tricky.

I am so excited they have a place to buy their beer on site! Last time I came to Chicago they did not have this set up so i was happy to find out they are selling on site. This is not a tap room, you can taste a couple they have on draft that day to see if you want to buy them in bottles or cans but not a place to grab a pint. This is a place everyone can find something they like, everyone. They are IPA heavy because they excel at making that style. Grab some pipeworks for the game!

Bought all the cans I could find!

I had been wanting to try Industry Ales when it opened and was glad to have had the opportunity to finally check it out! I was slightly thrown off, as the dining tables are at the front of this space, and the bar is all the way at the back. In fact, my friend at first glance thought it was a sit-down dining establishment sans bar seating. We found our way to the bar and posted up at two seats. We were offered menus right away and found the bartender extremely knowledgeable. This was super helpful when facing down an encyclopedia of ales. He offered samples when we explained what we were looking for. That is service above and beyond, especially on a bustling Friday early evening. The brews were tasty, but I couldn't really discern what I was drinking apart to say it was a lighter Belgian Ale. Wine is more in my wheelhouse, but always good to change things up, especially when a person has the opportunity to be guided by an expert. The people seated nearby had ordered the tuna tartare which looked delicious. In fact, all of the menu is globally influenced (think: pizza samosas, pierogis, Korean BBQ) in addition to the classic brewpub favorites. In addition to the Brewpub, this location features the Millroom, a speakeasy-style lounge. I did not have a chance to check that out on this visit. Definitely a cut above the usual sports bar and a place to expand one's knowledge of brews.

I have had a favorite taco spot for the past few months, but this place honestly raised the bar. They are known for their fried cheese tacos and they absolutely live up to the hype. The shrimp was delicious and the sauce reminded me of a seafood boil, rich and flavorful. The salsa verde was also great. I also had the fries topped with fried cheese, cilantro, and onions, and they were just as good. Everything smelled amazing and everyone at the table loved their food. One thing I really loved is their drink options. They have great cocktails, but also offer well crafted mocktails that feel just as intentional. We ordered potato soup and baos, and they both tasted delicious. The soup came with a bread, which was so delicious when paired with the soup. It was sweet! I had michalada, with the blonde ale instead of Guinness. It tasted spicy! They had a lot of special events going on for the holiday, so as you might imagine, it was difficult to snag a table even before 5pm. We managed to get a spot on the patio, which was insulated really well. It would be a great place to hang out in the summer. Our server was very attentive and provided great recommendations. To drink, we honored the occasion with imported Guinness stouts, which were light-bodied with a great depth. Per recommendation, we started with the hummus appetizer, and all I have to say is: do not sleep on this! The hummus was super flavorful and well seasoned, served alongside the most delicious grilled za'atar naan. The fresh crudites provided a really nice contrast. Highly recommend! For mains, we ordered the Guinness beef stew and the bangers and mash. The latter was my favorite of the two- the sausages were extra crispy on the outside and very tender. The mashed potatoes were super creamy and the bacon-onion mustard gravy was delicious. My favorite part may have been the brown beer bread served alongside- this stuff is absolutely addictive. I thought the beef stew was also well done with very tender meat, but just wasn't as flavorful as the other entree. Throughout the meal, we were treated to traditional Irish music complete with a bagpipe troupe. We left full and in the holiday spirit- will 100% return and highly recommend making the trip over here!

Our seat allowed both of us to have a view of the kitchen window to watch the chefs prep courses. There were 3-4 servers that serviced the entire dining room and rotated in presenting dishes. They started with warm towelettes to wash your hands which was a nice touch. Service level throughout was impeccable with water refills, explaining the menu, delightful demeanor, fresh silverware per course, and wiping the table clean from anything that dropped. This was certainly one of the best hospitality levels at a one star I've experienced. Dinner was 12 courses including the amuse-bouche and final treats. There was not one course that didn't offer bright, fresh flavors. The presentation of plates were beautiful from every angle.
