Great little tap room/brewery recommendation from a local - large menu for both beers and food, ample seating makes it nice enough to stay and hang a while too. Bartenders are lovely and overall the vibe is great. Prices are nice as well!

Worth the trip! The wraparound bar is spacious and the bartenders are friendly. I had a good time people watching--the crowd changes depending on who is playing at The Salt Shed next door. The beer, of course, is great. I could watch their flippy menu on the wall all day long. The updates every few seconds are soothing. I wasn't there for food, which is as a good thing since there weren't a lot of vegan options. Other than that, I would highly recommend checking it out!

I come here maybe twice a year due to the high alcohol content of the beer! I come for the 312 Block party where you're able to sample some of the very delicious Bourbon County Stout and I come for the annual Black Friday new BCS releases. Always a good time here with fellow Goose Island beer lovers. You can also buy certain releases here as well as Goose Island memorabilia like shirts and mugs. Staff is always cool and personable. you can tell they take pride in being a part of the brand and always know their stuff. If you're a craft beer fan or just love Goose Island, this is the place to be.

Really surprised at how nice this place was! We kind of just stumbled in while waiting for a concert to start next door at the salt shed. We checked online and were able to make a quick reservation so we were seated pretty much right away! The vibe is like an old brewery/warehouse and there is plenty of seating. The bar is in the middle, and I think if you don't have a reservation, and you're okay with sitting at the bar, you can sit right away too. We got the pretzels, cheese curds, and Chicago fried chicken sandwich and everything was really good! The mustard that comes with the pretzel and the ranch that came with the curds were DELISH! There's snow on the ground right now, but I saw seating outside along the river and I bet that's beautiful in the summer! Def would go back!

Visited Goose Island Taproom and loved it. I sampled several small pours of their beers, and each one was delicious. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. A solid spot for beer lovers in Chicago!

Definitely worth a stop in Chicago, amazing beers with complex flavor profiles, friendly staff that welcome you in and are helpful in choosing what to try. This location has inventory you can't get anywhere else going back multiple years - legendary!

My girlfriend and I were visiting Chicago for the week, with Goose Island being one place I had to visit. The taproom was inviting and the beer was amazing, as expected. Our bartender, Johnny, could not have been nicer or more accommodating and helped make the stop an unforgettable experience. Take the time to stop in to this location!

FAVORITE brewery in Chicago! This place is small, so if you come more than once the lovely staff will likely remember you! I appreciate the community feeling here and love that there is always seating and plenty of free street parking. The beers here are great and they have something for everyone even if you are not a beer lover. This is a great spot for a casual get together of would be fun to rent out for a party! They have indoor and outdoor seating in the warmer weather.

    Tour time!

This place is the fricken' coolest. The ambience, the people, the tour, the merch...10/10 across the board. The tour is over an hour and as they take you through the brewery, it's deceiving because it keeps going and going. They really utilized their space and did a great job! Eliseo was my tour guide and he's such a great guide. He's funny, engaging, and knowledgeable, so if you get him, you're going to have a fantastic time. At the bar, I few more and the cheese plate. It was the snack that kept on giving; surprisingly filling and I loved the variation of choices. The staff is so friendly and fun. I had Kesley and Julian at the bar and they really listened to me on what I like to guide me to what I should try. There's nothing terrible there. There's a lot of options to choose from, so there's something for everyone. I can't wait to visit again because this was one of my favorite places to visit.

Super awesome brewery. I had a great time trying different beers and getting a tour of the facility. Andrew did an amazing job, and I had a great time being part of his tour group. He was very informative and conversational. The brewery inside is super nice and the beer selection is also some of the best. Good seating and friendly bartenders. I liked the window they had looking into the canning assembly line. I had the Sofie Saison which I really enjoyed. Their barrel aged porters are also extremely popular and for good reason.

    Cheers!

I have drank many a Goose Island Stout thanks to my Chicago Friends. I came here hoping to have a Prop I have never tasted and thought the Banana Foster was available, and I am a banana loving freak, I did not opt to get the bottle. Instead I took a different route and got a few samples of the beers on tap. We got a pale, pils, hazy, la palomita, they had a beer with peppers I tried as well and a cuvee. The space is fairly big with indoor bar seating, table seating and outdoor patio seating. We chose to sit outdoors, but I did geek out on the barrels inside where I took some photos. I can see this place as being a great place to meet up with friends and have an afternoon beer, to the business the holidays will have with all the stouts coming out. I'm sure the place has a buzz to it. I definitely hope to make a re appearance next year!

I had the pretzel when I came here; it was pretty good. The food options are limited though. I had a Pilsner which was pretty good; fresh and light and my friend had a fruited ale which was also tasty. I think I might've picked the wrong day to go because it seemed like there was a Goose Island Company event. So there were a lot of guys in a corner table wearing Goose Island shirts. Which was chill until it came time to order beer. My friend and I were cut in line by two of them and the bar tender didn't seem to notice us standing in front of him for a while. So as for customer service it wasn't great at all. I didn't even think it was that busy but I guess employees get the fast pass to the front? Idk, that didn't seem right to me.

It's in an industrial part of town but close to a train station. I like trying the local brews, even though this brewery was bought out by inBev. The tap room is clean, has lots of tables and seats. You can see their lab from the taproom too, they have all of their equipment out too. The bartenders were polite and efficient. They have options for flights, 1/2 pours, they are very accommodating. The restrooms were very clean and had a list of upcoming of events. They have lots of merchandise to purchase, from key chains, glasses, and more.

They played good music and wasn't too loud. You could easily carry on a conversation or , like me, continue listening to a podcast. By the time I finished, the place was completely full and a bit noisy, but not bad. I started out with a 10oz Birds of Prey Pilsner. It was very nice. Light and crisp and very easy to drink. I followed that up with Melodious Maibock and ordered the CBG burger with fries. I didn't have lunch so I dove right in and forgot to snap a photo. It was a very good smash burger. It was cooked well and I really liked the combination of pickled onion and caramelized onion. I didn't see it until later but you can add bacon. As much as I loved this burger, bacon would totally take it up a notch! I started chatting with the bartender about their different beers and decided to have the Super Melodious Jalapeño Maibock with the burger. It's soooo different, but in a good way. It paired so well with the burger. You get green bell pepper on the nose and a hint of it on the palate. When you swallow you get a little heat at the back of the throat. It was so good! Great bar. They make more than you can believe which is impressive because there's all kinds of crowds who pass through. For sure everyone wants beer. It's $6 a pint at happy hour. Pretty great for craft beers compared to lots of places it seems. Best one we got was the Bucket Hat. This is a Belgian style witbier. Has notes of bubble gum, coriander, and orange. The food isn't an afterthought so get some of that. It's about $18 for a burger. Vegans have options. Certainly one of these is the Veggie Burger. This is an amazing thing with a spinach patty topped with chipotle tomato marmalade, cremini mushrooms, mixed greens, pickled red onions, and sweet potatoes. All on a fluffy ciabatta bun. The rest of the menu contains meaty stuff. For sure it feels like a place for the hipsters but it's pretty great for anyone. On the other side, is a 1 Michelin Star dining experience. Moody Tongue is the first Michelin ranked brewery and even offers a beer pairing with their prefixed menu. The inside is moody with dark wood finishes, black accents, and elegant artwork & feature lighting. Upon entering, one checks in at the first floor host stand. A server brings you upstairs to the dining area. There is a mixture of two and four tops in the space and our table had a handwritten note congratulating us on our anniversary. Our seat allowed both of us to have a view of the kitchen window to watch the chefs prep courses. There were 3-4 servers that serviced the entire dining room and rotated in presenting dishes. They started with warm towelettes to wash your hands which was a nice touch. Service level throughout was impeccable with water refills, explaining the menu, delightful demeanor, fresh silverware per course, and wiping the table clean from anything that dropped. This was certainly one of the best hospitality levels at a one star I've experienced. Dinner was 12 courses including the amuse-bouche and final treats. There was not one course that didn't offer bright, fresh flavors. The presentation of plates were beautiful from every angle. It's hard to pick any top dish as everything was unique and special in their own way; but I am still thinking about the Crab Bite, Sablefish, and Pasta Course. After dinner, each guest got a complimentary bag full of goodies to enjoy at home. What a beautiful final touch! Moody Tongue as a whole far exceeded my expectations. Each dish offered something familiar in a new way that left me speechless. I highly recommend coming to fully experiencing everything they have to offer as you will not be disappointed! Thank you again so much to their team for making our special night unforgettable. Tip: There is free parking on Wabash & 25th but also meter parking on 26th.

However, Maplewood Brewery and Distillery has even more to offer than just some of the best beer in the city: incredible liquors and cocktails; fantastic food. We've been visiting Maplewood for almost a decade for amazing beer and, more recently, to sample the spirits. But tonight was the first time we tried the food. And WOW! The Wednesday night Burger, Beer, and Bourbon for $22 is a delectable steal. I loved every bite of the savory/filling food and every sip of each beverage! The building is spacious. Don't be deceived by the crowds out front on the patio, there is often plentiful seating inside in one of the two rooms, or at the bar. It is always clean, open, and welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful. They also have QR codes at the tables in case you want contactless ordering. Parking can be a challenge given the permitted street. If in doubt, ask the bartenders. They are always helpful when confirming if you parked in an open spot, or if you should move. We love Maplewood and are so glad we finally tried the food. We'll definitely be back again soon!
