My family all decided to head to Pirates Cove to entertain them. We had 9 of us. 3 kids in the group who were spending time with their grandparents. We golfed as a big group, trying to rush along so we weren't holding anyone up. At the end of the 17th hole a manager named Andrew (pictured)came up to my 70 plus year old mother and began to scold her and degrade her claiming he ordered her to split the family up to golf. He then also claimed he told all of us to split up at the beginning but that was a lie. No one ever spoke with him and we would have easily complied with such an easy request. The way he spoke to my mother like the way he was did get a reaction out of me to verbally protect her. His behavior was shocking especially at a mini golf place and we told him he was completely treating us horribly. He then kicked us of the course, snatching the golf clubs out of my 9, 13, and 16 year old kids very aggressively. Seemed like pretty aggressive and assaultive behavior towards children. We are in great hopes that Andrew knows he kicked out two military veterans (Vietnam War and Noble Eagle/Enduring Freedom) off the course for a very minor miscommunication from when my 70 year old mom and dad got the clubs and made payment. We are in hopes the owner will make this right with my mother and father who were just trying to spend time with their family. read more

All the issues from the older reviews here have been either repaired or dealt with. I went last weekend and all the water features were on, all the greens were clean with no tears or anything, and it's legit the most beautiful little spot in the hills surrounded by trees! My friends out there took me to FunSpot and we drove past this place and I glimpsed the setting in the forest and waterfalls and asked, WHAT IS THAT?! Luckily, it was in the cards to make it back there later in my trip! Amazing spot for a family outing, fun with friends, or a date night! I was traveling from CA, and had looked up the several Pirate's Cove options when it came up to go mini golf. I was baffled that the overall review rating was low. I almost missed this experience because of the overall weak star rating that is currently listed. Seriously, people who left negative reviews, if you live there and are able to, go back and check it out, and update your reviews. read more

So when people say that this place has no running water... apparently that doesn't mean there's no running drinking water . That's what my family interpreted from previous poor reviews, which caused us to be confused when we saw water bottles sold in the front of the store. Apparently no running water means the water falls and streams were all dried up and looking sad. Maybe they were changing out the water? Either way, the no water made the place feel dingy. I love mini golf and had a great time, but this made the experience less immersive. read more

Water features are not functional. On the hole that has multiple choices for a hole that leads to the lower level, they have all but 1 blocked off. I spoke to a manager this morning about my concerns and she was rude and insulting towards the customers that go there. She also gave me a story about how none of the issues were the company's fault. She blamed the customers for the problems with the course. For this reason, I will not be visiting any pirates Cove establishment in the future. read more

The water features are turned off. The canals that the water ran in are semi dried up muck holes. Very disappointing.

Typical mini golf place. Some challenging holes. There were 5 in our group. We got a few hole in ones. We had fun and that is what it is all about. They have a mystery hole where if you get a whole in 1 you win a free game! We didn't get the mystery hole but we got a scratch ticket and one a dollar off per person for future round food at any of the Pirate golf locations! If you are with a senior citizen ask for a discount they don't offer it unless you ask. I would have given this place 5 stars BUT it is NOT handicapped accessible. Lots of stairs and steep hills to climb. There were lots of bees around. read more

We were on a family vacation in Laconia and took all the kids to mini-golf. We called ahead to make sure of the time the place closed. We arrived at 8:30 with a closing time of 9:30. There were 8 of us (4 adults and 4 children). The girl was extremely rude when we got there and asked us if we would be done in time before we closed, we didn't know how long it would take for us to finish but technically they were still open and we were on vacation so we all planned on golfing. She said well I thought won't kick you out but the lights may shut off on you. Halfway through at hole number 7, 2 of balls got lost in trees somewhere and we couldn't find them. At this time it was about 9:10 so my son went to go get new balls and the girl said sorry I already put them away (Even though she was still there until closing time.) So we decided to share for the rest of the night. When we finished our last hole, the girl was waiting for our golf clubs and the girls were sitting on the bench and we told them it was time to go. The worker made some remarks and said you could just sell them. And then made another remark about how that sounded really racist. (Our children are biracial). Multiple other parties complained about the way they were treated. It is unacceptable and terrible customer service. Things could have been handled in a completely different manner. I am highly disappointed and this I something that actions should be taken against. This is not a way to treat anyone especially if you want to keep your business open. read more

We enjoyed the staff and the surrounding decor. The greens, however, really need improvement. At least three have turf buckles and tears and we're told it won't be fixed until the season is over. As for skill level, it's an easy course, with only a couple of holes that have challenges. read more

Decent course, but needs repair on a number of holes where they have used duct tape to patch issues with the greens. Not enough challenging holes as most are very straight forward. read more

We went on the Monday of Memorial Day. It was the best day that weekend, since Saturday and Sunday were rainy. The prices were about the same for all Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf. We've been to the one on Cape Cod many times. First, the prices. Kids under 3 are free. Children are $6.75 and adults are $7.75. Look in the local papers and information kiosks and you will find a coupon every now and then. It is an 18 hole course that is bumpy and hilly and filled with waterfalls. Typical of your Pirate's Cove. This particular one only has 1 course, the one on the Cape had 2. FYI...There is another course in WInnisquam, NH that looked a lot better when we drove by. Second, the course. Granted they probably just opened for the summer season, but they didn't have the water turned on. So, the charm and atmosphere of pirates was not there. My little boy, who is obsessed with pirates was a little let down. The course is mostly a par 2 mini golf course. My kids rarely got it in in 2 strokes. When there is a 6 stroke limit and tons of people behind you, it wasn't very fun. We let a couple of groups go around us so the kids could actually play. There was a lot of debris on the holes. Granted it is outside but it didn't look like anyone had bothered to sweep it in the least. Most of the trees are cut away making the course hot and not very shady. The first half of the course you are working your way up the hill. On the way down, some of the holes you putt from the top and the hole is down the hill. The 17th hole is like this and you realize that to attempt a hole in 1 you need to shoot the ball in the middle hole. However, the middle hole was jammed. I shot my ball there and it didn't come out so I had to walk back to the beginning to get a replacement ball. The family behind us did the same thing but the dad got a rock and used his club and the rock to poke through. His daughter, my ball and three other balls came out when he did that. So, obviously it has been stuck for awhile. Didn't remember seeing if the whole course was handicap or stroller accessible here. At the end, the kids get pirate hats and patches and flags and other goodies for playing the course. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place or go back. When we got back to Laconia, we'll try out the other Adventure Park and see how that compares. It's a shame about this one, we LOVE the one on the Cape. read more

Course is a POS. Pirates Cove should be ashamed. Grounds and course were nice. Landscaping was well done. However, no running water, the place is one big mosquito magnet....disgusting. read more

Not worth the money. No water features are in use nor have they been turned on in some time. The putting greens are not blown off. No one was playing except us so they have time to keep up on it. read more

The landscape and the new bridges and the entryway look amazing. This is a fun place to bring your family to play around of mini golf.

This is an excellent mini golf course. Try to go on a day when their isn't a line or be patient as everyone has to take turns. It can be a bit of a wait in the summer but this course is totally worth it! The theming is great and the challenge is pretty good for all ages. read more

My fiance and I stopped by over the weekend while visiting Meredith for a wedding. We arrived at 10am on a Saturday and it was empty, which was great! I hate the mini-golf courses that are so busy that you have to wait to start and then wait on each hole. Pirates Cove seemed a bit run down and didn't have any exciting course challenges. read more
