This was some of the best mini golf I've been to! Hubby begged to go putt-putt while we were in Orlando and he loves pirates, so it was a must go. We had a little trouble getting to the place it self, for some reason the GPS directed us through the nearby Lockheed Martin facility that wasn't open to the public, but after we got on the right road it was easy to find because of the giant pirate ship. They have plenty of parking for a putt-putt place. When I said this place is piratey, I mean Yo-Ho-Ho. There was a pirate ship you got to putt on, and even wooden walkways. There were mannequin pirates dressed up and the atmosphere really had us hooked. We went down the 18 hole Blackbeard adventure side. The greens themselves were ok, no spinning windmills or crazy bumpers like in the movies, but each hole was fun enough. At the front of each hole, there was a historical fact about pirates which was interesting. There were a couple holes that had a cliff that you might lose your ball into the water, so you might want one of your party to stand and stop your ball for you. There were one or two holes that didn't seem possible to get a hole in one, which always is the draw to these places, and a few greens were pretty similar in the strategy. It was fun enough for a quick play through. Probably would do the easier green next time, not quite sure if it's good enough to replay the holes, though. read more

This is by far one of the BEST or better courses in the Orlando area. Cost is on par with others in the area that look like this. But what gets them 5 stars is their upkeep of the course, quality of the course (really nicely decorated and planned out). They do offer a $2 per person good for the family military discount. I take my mini golf very seriously, and Pirate's Cove gets top marks in my book. As we checked in, we were warned that because of a large group on the easier course, only the harder course (Blackbeard's) was available. That alone is a higher level of service than most mini golf places that wouldn't care enough to let you know before you pay what's going on. Plus, did someone say a more challenging course?! Blackbeard's, it was. Course was indeed more challenging, and was well-designed with a good variety of holes. Plus everything, from the pirate-themed scenery to the greens were well maintained and clean (i hate playing on worn-out greens, or on courses that need to be swept before playing a hole). Some of the holes even had a little bit of surprise action with where the ball might end up. Plus, educational plaques at each hole guide you through the life of the infamous Blackbeard. As Richard notes, there are quite a few stairs on this course as you head up and over a giant mountain will plenty of waterfalls and pools. Our toddler was a little concerned about losing her ball into the water on a few holes, but they are easily retrieved (by an adult). In the end, I was having a rubbish day, and did awful, especially compared to two of my party who hit several holes-in-one. But I'd gladly return here for a rematch. read more

First we thought it was a park to walk, but after a few passings with the car, we noticed the golf clubs. Knew we had to try this wonderful place, and although shocked by the price (60$ for 3 adults and a child), we were really overwhelmed by the fantastic surroundings. The park is absolutely fantastic and well kept, and the courses (2 of them,) are varied and fun (18 holes in each course). Make sure to bring an extra golf ball as the last hole captures the ball making it impossible to share the same ball (we lost one during the course). read more

The waterfalls and have fast moving crystal clear water, not that horrible blue tinted stuff you see at some places. Everything was very clean and the staff was polite. Visiting this golf course brought me back to my elementary school days when we would take field trips here! I came with some friends and my 6 year old nephew and played on the tougher course. The weather was great out, so trekking to each hole didn't feel like running a marathon, BUT there were a lot of steps to take, I personally didn't mind, but a friend in the group wore wedges, so wear comfortable shoes. Each hole has their challenges, and if you're competitive, make some rules so the game flows, and doesn't cause a hold up. Each course has 18 holes, and you eventually circle up, down, and around the course. There are no prizes for winning except bragging rights, and out of all of the craziness, my wife and I tied for first place! This course hasn't changed since I was a kid, but everything is kept up well so they're doing good on the maintenance. Oh and if your ball goes into the stream, be quick to grab it, it shouldn't get lost in the lake. read more

I've been in Orlando for a few weeks now working construction... I decided to spend my downtime in search for the best Put-Put/Mini golf course in the Universal area. At first glance, Pirates Cove Adventure Golf looks like it would be of the top place to go. The beautiful water features and Pirate themed decor is quite remarkable. However, I was saddened by the stupidity of this course. Most of the playing field is unnecessaru. For you young ones on Yelp! (6 and under) this is the place to go. If you older fellas are looking to test your skills and have a great time doing so, this is not the place for you. I recommend visiting Congo River Golf 4 minutes down International Blvd. for great staff, alligators, moderate difficulty, and scavenger hunt along the course. Came here back in 2020. Variety of different challenges but all really good fun. Interesting pirate stuff, ships, treasures lying or hanging around. When I went, it wasn't crowded. But depending when you go, you might have to wait in back of a group of kids who take forever lol. read more

Pretty decent place. Not stroller friendly as the obstacles require you to go up and down steps, which is fine, just giving everyone a heads up. TAKE AN ADDITIONAL 2 BALLS PER PERSON, they will get lost in certain obstacles especially for the little ones. Overall we had a blast and we would definitely do it again. I don't recall seeing beverages being sold and possibly rightfully so not to get their greenery dirty. Only thing I didn't like was the long wait at the cashier line. I hadn't played putt-putt in years and after driving by this place several times I just had to stop in and give it a go. I'm glad I did. My wife and I arrived around 3:30 in the afternoon and the place was pretty dead. I wasn't sure if it was just timing or if the place was unpopular but by the time we reached the fourth hole we had several groups behind us and by the end of the game things had really picked up and it was getting busy. There are two courses with one supposedly quite a bit easier than the other. I only played that one and while I'm terrible at putt-putt, I managed to do fairly well. I noticed along the very scenic course (nicest looking min-golf I've see) that there was ample seating and lots of shade. Both are quite nice on a very warm Florida afternoon. The course goes pretty quick with just two people playing and I wished at the end that I had opted to do both courses for just a couple bucks more. Only downside is that I-Drive gets very congested and it may take you a bit to get to and from Pirate's Cove but check it out if you're in the mood for scenic mini-golf. ARRRGH Matey! read more

This place is literally an adventure...u first start off at the bottom to purchase your golf putts and there are mini baby gators everywhere below the waters. You have the option to feed them if u like or u can proceed to start the course with about 10$ and some change (sorry gators!) This place is outside so its nice to go on a perfect weathery day..since the course wraps around a mountain shaped top you can see the overrated I-drive with all the tourist (hello there.) During the course u will have to pay very close attention to the ball because once it rolls away it can either roll down a hill, into a waterfall, out a bridge, or on someone's face YIKES! Now now don't be so alarmed this journey can be quite amusing because you are also helping the pirates on their adventure so its not just mini golf on it's own! Should you risk driving your ball through rocks as a short cut or go the long, safe way around? Pirates Cove has very creative courses and pathways (up a hill, through caves, along waterfalls) but tries to cram too much into a small area. You could fit most courses into janitor's PH.D program. However, my little body found the tiny paths and stairways bordering jungle-gym fun. Expect bottle necking to occur most evenings due to an excellent location along tourist-infested I-Drive and is walking distance to other tourist-catered shops. It gets busier due to the staff's seemingly uncaring attitude to how many people were being let through at a time. (I danced a conga line many times with three couples while waiting for the family before us) Note: leftover trash littered several areas. Like any mini-golf, prepare to be bombarded by young families and couples. read more

The first girl that helped looked like she had been given this job as a bet. She didn't want to be there and was rude when we asked about the groupon offers. I know that groupon doesn't benefit the store owners that much and it's really unfortunate, but that's not something that needs to be voiced to the customers as much as it was. Besides that, the score cards were of amazing quality and the courses were amazing as well. Oh my gosh, the location was perfect. As you got through half of the course, you found yourself overlooking this small lake with the reflection of the hotel skylines beaming up at you. For my first time playing mini golf, Pirate's Cove did not disappoint. I had a great time here and ready to come back for some more. We got here around 9:30pm and I believe they close at 11pm so we couldn't do the 36 holes. For a beginner like myself, the 18 holes was pretty good to start with. The 18 holes is ~$10.95/adult and the 36 holes is ~$16.95/adult if I remember correctly. The course was pretty awesome with the pirate-sy theme. A few of the holes had a bit of a challenge which made it even more fun. Located conveniently by many restaurants, you can take advantage of the course after dinner. We had been to the Pirate's Cove by Disney and had a pretty terrible time (largely due to the people we were with), so we were a little worried about playing here. For the most part, our fears were unfounded. I believe there are basically four options you can play here: easy or hard and 18 or 36 holes for each level. We're not hardcore mini-golfers; we just wanted a fun way to spend the afternoon, so 18 easy holes it was for us. The grounds are pretty well kept. You may need/want to brush aside some of the leaves and nuts that sometimes fall onto the courses. There is nothing to the actual courses that are pirate themed, it's just the decorations along the sides of the courses. The courses take you up and down the sides of hills and through some caves. There are water hazards - some without nets. You may want to keep a person standing nearby to grab the ball before it floats off if you accidentally hit into the water. There isn't much shade or cover, so make sure the weather is good before heading here. All in all, a fun afternoon excursion, but nothing I would rush back to. read more

I thighs the place was really good. My son and I spent about 35 min to complete the 18 holes. At the entrance, the cashier will ask you if you would like the Blackbeard and captains challenge course. We chose the captain's challenge which we were told had a better view of the course. The place is surrounded by palm trees providing enough shade during the game.
