This was the best traditional mini-golf place I have ever been. The theming was awesome, and we loved the fun pirate facts at each hole. The course itself was tricky, creative, and fun for everyone -- from our 5-year-old to the grandparents. We enjoyed our first round so much, we came back to play the second course! It was a bit busy during our first visit (around 1pm Friday), so we had to wait a bit at each hole -- but honestly, we didn't mind. It gave us time to chat and soak in all the fun details. There are a lot of mini golf places on this street but Pirates Cove had really good reviews so we decided to give it a try. They have 2 courses and both were equally fun. Each takes about 45 mins to an hour (if it's not crowded). We came on a Sunday around 11am and it wasn't too crowded. The courses were entertaining enough and not too difficult or too easy so it's fun for all ages. There were some minor steps on the courses but they did have a handicap accessible course for those that are not able to climb the steps. read more

They have a Gorilla. My family is smart so we went early. Don't be late or you will wait!! We tee'd off as a Sevensome but quickly lost Dad when his first shot bounced out of bounds into the water. They don't allow kids to check the surveillance video - even if it's to accurately count your cousin's strokes. Why do they always take their ball back SO FAST after the 18th. If you really want a white ball they can be found behind the the putter-less players. read more

Been a long time visitor of Pirate's Cove since I could remember. Sven as an adult it's still simple and good fun!

Cute golf course and enjoyed the pirate theme. However very off-puttingly during the first hole, the owner inexplicably came out and interrupted our game, asking if another party (3-able bodied adults) could go in front of us... as though they are VIP and we're not ALSO paying customers?? How inappropriate and rude of the owner to do that, when the party themselves could have just asked us if it was that important to them. Owner seems to micromanage the customers a lot, frequently coming out of the booth and surveying everyone playing. It was creepy and disturbing to say the least that the owner is constantly **watching**... geez. read more

Wonderful spot for mini golf. For a place I went to when I was younger, they keep this place impeccably clean and modern. Fun hidden pirate vignettes, and fun trivia at every hole. They offer two different experiences, front and back both have 18 holes. Really enjoyable time! read more

This recreation center only avoided five stars by having a little less shade than wished for and being a bit expensive for the amount of time and fun. The grounds were superbly maintained and the staff very friendly and helpful. There are restrooms. Good for all age groups. The scenes and storyline along each course is interesting for all ages and well done. Blue water was a bit artificially weird but perhaps unavoidable. Definitely worth a visit. read more

Very well maintained property. One of the nicest looking courses that I've ever played but it's greatest downside is how the holes play. It doesn't seem like much imagination went into the actual playing of the hole. Many of the holes are straight line shots with no obstacles. Do I regret going? No. Would I go again? Great mini golf on the Cape, Pirates Cove is doing a good job sanitizing the balls and putters. We always enjoy 18 holes at this course the pirate theme and holes arrrrr great matey for all ages. Hands down, the best mini golf course on the Cape. Not cheap, but it's a great experience. Replica ships and pirate mannequins; challenging holes; clean and well maintained. They actually have two 18 hole courses, so you get to pick which course you want, and you get a bit of a discount if you want to play all 36 - but beware - at peaks times, you'll be there for a while, so plan accordingly if you do both courses. It's a very popular spot and it can get crowded. The Blackbeard course is ADA compliant, so hats off to them for taking that into consideration...though when I went a couple of days ago, some of the holes on that side could use a good deal of sweeping. read more

One of the best maintained mini golf courses in the Cape .With that being said it's always busy. We had a big group in front of us and then we felt rush by the ones behind us. Ahoy, matey!!! At Pirate's Cove, it's "talk like a pirate day" everyday. It's family-friendly fun, with reasonable rates like $10.50 for kids and $11.50 for kids. Tho it has a Johnny Depp as Captain Sparrow statue, and amazingly has the soundtracks of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies&rides, it can't be confused with the Disney original. While the Disney original has the stunning firefly effects, Cape Cod has REAL fireflies. And Pirate's Cove isn't a passively enjoyed ride. It's a fun&intense 18 holes. The Captain's course is more challenging. On Blackbeard's course, you learn nautical terms like "Land lubber" and "three sheets to the wind", paints Blackbeard as a womanizing feminist. One needn't have a peg leg&a parrot on the shoulder to enjoy this. Fun for the whole family! The whole course is about an hour, depending on the crowd. There's a ship with cannon effects, waterfalls and water obstacles. Interesting trivia- Blackbeard's ship, Queen Anne's Revenge, was the subject of a recent SCOTUS decision, Allen v. North Carolina. Justice Kagan wrote of "digital Blackbeards" and "copyright pirates." Justice Alito would later accuse Gorsuch of piracy in Bostock. Arrrggghhh!! read more

Some patrons with large parties take an excessively amount of time while it backs up other players behind them. They need Emily Post's Etiquette to show them their error of ways. Growing up in Oklahoma, "putt-putt" as we call it was never an ideal way to spend an evening. However, this is NOT the case in the Cape. First, it's not putt-putt, it's miniature golf. Second, it's not a high school date night, it's an all ages, any occasion great time. Pirate's Cove is one of the five or so miniature golf locations in the Cape. They have two courses and charge $10/person ($7 if you want to play the other side after you complete the first). A little pricy for a 30-40 minute game and only up to five players per group. But what you are playing for is the moving shark, water cannon ball, talking pirates, etc. they up-keep the course well and it's well laid out. You work your way up a "hill" with 18 holes. Greens keep you entertained, whether you're on a boat, in a cave skipping your ball down a mini-stream or through ramps. Make sure you get the $1 off your next game per person deal (or find someone in the parking lot and see if they'll give you yours! I'm a bargain saver!) This is definitely one of the better courses in the Cape, but you're paying for it. read more

This was a very fun mini golf course. I liked how they had 2 separate 18 hole courses to play. The scenery is what makes this place so cool. The pirate theme works so well. Statues line the exterior, including a fat man with the chest of a common wench. If you'd like to experience the vice of a captured seafarer, you can even pretend to lock yourself up and prepare for the guillotine (psychologically, this can bring you to the depths of the black sea). As captain of my shipmate's golf team in Pirate High School, I am keen on good course design. I quite fancy the complex structure of many holes on this fine course, including one which requires you deliberately hit the ball into water for the stream to carry your shot to the cup. Another demands you send your ball through a descending drop in hopes it lands on a platform down below deck. There is plenty of fun and adventure at Pirate's Cove. They've been around a long time. I've been here to many times to count. I cannot think of any reason not to visit..except if you are not a fan of mini golf. But if you are..and in the area..do yourself a favor and stop by. This place is such fun and is a great place to just release your inner child and have some good old fashioned family fun. Or get some friends together and play some golf. This is a bland mini golf place that tries to spice things up with little blurbs about pirates at the entrance to the holes. An eccentric local picking up a bit of Cape history? Nah. A midwestern outfit throwing up a franchise in the midst of zillions of other mini golf places. When we went it was way too packed, with more waiting than playing. Absolutely a must visit if you are on the Cape! This place has two side by side 18 hole courses that wrap around through caves, up hills, through water falls etc. If you have ever visited one of these in other parts of the country they are all similar, however this one sits along the Bass River in Yarmouth and is awesome. Really challenging holes, great staff and price is right and its actually a fund day and even if its hot, this place is under enough shade and is close to the river to catch some cool breezes. Pirate's Cove holds a special place in my heart and I am so happy that we recently returned to this great mini golf course. This mini golf course is always packed and when we visited the lines were fairly long. Some of the holes had a long wait but it wasn't terrible. The only critique is that this course is worn down and they need to do some updating/painting. That all being said, we will continue to come back in the future since Pirate's Cove is in my mind the best mini golfing in the area. read more

This is actually the best mini golf course in New England. This was my second time going to pirates cove and it's just so much fun. All of the facts and stories on the sides of the course really add an element to mini golf. The decor all around is also very fun to look at- I feel like I see something new with every turn. Maybe they should just rename this place "Selfie Cove Mini-Golf." It has a ton of props and backgrounds, and my group was using their cell phones to take pictures as much as they were using their putters. Oh yeah, you can play mini-golf here too. You've got quite a choice of places to play on the Cape, many of which on Route 28. Pirate's Cove is among the most expensive - maybe the most expensive - currently at $9 per adult. It's also among the best and most fun, especially for a group. You can even make it educational if you really want by reading the signs along the way. You actually have several courses from which to choose. We almost always take the lower course for the fun and photo ops. The holes have a nice mix of gradient challenges and not-overly-complicated props. Just be careful on some of the holes... you actually can lose your golf ball in some of the bodies of water. read more
