A new name for an old favorite…read more We stopped for lunch on a beautiful weekday. Parking lot was surprisingly empty even though Bike Week was going on over on the coast. A nicely prepared hamburger and a delightful bacon-stuffed BLT both hit the spot. We didn't get our requested medium rare, but it was tasty nonetheless. The BLT was served on toasted and buttered bread. Don't see butter much - seems to always be mayo. It was great. Having an abundance of bacon certainty sealed the deal. The cole slaw was creamy and looked and tasted freshly-made. The black beans and rice side was a pleasant surprise and delicious. Our service was prompt and efficient. This place can succeed if it keeps serving good food like we had.

The table we sat at was in a very warm section, our party sat down and uh didn't offer us additional water the entire time we were there. It was hot and I was thirsty and a refill would have been nice. Food was really good, I had a ruben sandwich lots of flavor. Which made up for the ambiance not sure what was going on but I have been to this place many times and never had a bad experience until now. They have a tube rental truck where we rented our tubes for the lazy river over at Rock Springs. We stopped in for a few beers and a quick bite after tubing. Immediately the vibe was exactly what we were looking for. Chill, relaxed and easy going. Our bartender was a lovely chatty woman, serving with a smile and great recommendations for what we should do next. We ordered food & drinks and played some tunes on their touch tunes jukebox box. We amused ourselves with the customary message on a dollar bill tapped to the roof activity. The food came out crisp and hot. Fries were excellent! Wings juicy. Chicken tenders fried perfectly. They are a beer and wine establishment. No hard liquor. An elderly gentleman man, who we assumed was the owner, came over to say hello to us and was very pleasant also with recommendations for our next adventure. I highly recommend this bar if you're into dive bars and a good time.

I ordered the turkey and brie sandwich, because reading it on the menu outside was what had originally drawn me into the restaurant, and a cup of the French Onion soup rather than getting the fries that came with. The soup was up first, and it was delightful- nice, hardy chunks of onion without being too big/sliding off my spoon, a well developed broth, and a fantastic amount of cheese. The sandwich was lovely, great slices of turkey and decently sized pieces of brie and apple to go along with it. Unfortunately, when I went to get the second half of my sandwich, I noticed what looked like a dark beard hair on it.... as I was dining alone, and my long hair was tied up, definitely not mine. I called over my server, and I pointed it out to her... she asked if I wanted to have a new sammie or get it taken off the bill. I asked if I could pay for the soup, since I had finished it, but not the sammie and she absolutely agreed to that. I wrapped up my meal and left to keep going on my day. Everywhere has issues occasionally, but this was handled well, so I will mention it, and I do knock off a star for this visit, but I am still willing to try again if I am in the area.

My sister had the prime dip and I went for the turkey brie - both were delicious and super satisfying. Service was great too - everyone was friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. There is a parking lot right next to the restaurant, super convenient. The place is cozy and has a nice size bar area. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

There's beer flights to choose your favorite beer, but also mixing them together is a tradition. My favorite thing so far has been the shepherds pie, which comes extremely hot and is very hardy. It appears since the last time I've been there they've added much more outdoor seating almost looks like they might have events from time to time. parking is ample, but if you're in the back, you will have to head down the stairs to find the establishment.
