Ruined son's birthday party. No cake. Attendant put wrong date on order. When we ordered she even said had to come after 12;30 because less than one day. Had to choose already made cake. Piros pizzeria has decreased in quality in the past 2 years a far beach pizza definitely the least favorite i guess the new people they hired changed the recipe is not as good as it was . On the service I was there about 15 minutes before closing trying to order 2 pepperoni slices and the new short lady they have there made me feel like was not bringing bisness but i was bothering there before closing. My love for Piro's has grown. I constantly stop on for brownieso a we a or other treats and we are never disappointed. In the past month, I've ordered two cakes, one for my husbands birthday and one for my daughters birthday. Both cakes were incredible! My husband's cake was cookies and cream ice cream and layers of chocolate cake with Oreos! For anyone who loves an ice cream cake with cake, this was life. Also the price of this 8inch cake for all that we got was really decent! We ordered a double layered half sheet cake with a rapuzel/princess theme for my daughters' 6th birthday. We did whipped cream instead of buttercream. The baker called after I first wanted half chocolate and half vanilla suggesting the middle might cave in so she provided the vanilla and chocolate in each slice option by doing one layer of each flavor. We ordered our wedding cakes from Piro's ... and besides my wedding being an amazing event, the perfect cherry on top of a perfect day was the amazing cake from Piro's. We ordered their amazing strawberry shortcake, lemon raspberry, and pineapple coconut. Everyone was raving about it. I was 98% happy with the service. I ordered two sheet cakes, and one two tiered cake. The cake was close to my vision, but in the end... it was still beautiful. I truly appreciate everything that Josie and the rest of the Piro group did for us. We will always be so grateful. By the way, we ordered half sheet cakes and a two tiered cakes... and while they told you it might serve a total of 80-90 peoples, I think it actually could serve 100-120 people. Ordered Calzones twice while in town for the holidays. They baked them in the pizza oven for me (no kitchen in bnb) and that is DEFINITELY the way to have them. Why is there such a prevalence of bad Italian bakeries in Mass? The Italian cookies were good. I did enjoy that you could buy one single cookie so I could try all of them. The rest of the desserts were not so good. The regular chocolate chip cookies were overbaked. The chocolate cake slice had a very strange colored chocolate frosting in between the layers which did not taste good. The pastry on the cream puffs was good but ruined by the the strange smell of the frosting inside. It definitely was not whipped cream. Piro's is divided into two sections, one is a bakery, and the other serves pizza and other food items. Everything that I tried from the bakery was delicious and decadent, but it's the Lobster Tail pastry, that had me make several return trips. I have been going Piro's bakery for many, many years. In my family, Sunday dinners are tradition, and someone is REQUIRED to pick up "The Bread". There is NO Question of which, we all know... 2 sticks from Piro's. Don't show up without it. And for every adult birthday celebration a cake is requested from Piro's... and let me tell you, the strawberry shortcake is out of this world!!!
