It was grilled beautifully and not too chewy. I had the milanesa diana which was huge! As great as the flavor explosions happening in my mouth, parts of my chicken was a tough cut of the chicken which brought my experience down a bit. It's like when you get a chicken nuggie and bite into it and it's hard. Not what you're expecting. My kids enjoyed a chicken sandwich and linguine which had great flavor. My wife had a decent portion of salmon. I would come again. I would even sit outside if I wasn't a very sweaty man in this humidity. Abominable experience at that establishment. Most Racist barman/server. It is hard to say which position he holds at the restaurant since he was the only employee we interacted with as there were no other visible employees. He was at the bar as we arrived and 11 minutes later he was the server that brought us the menus. He did so only after he welcomed and brought menus to another couple that walked into the establishment numerous minutes after us. Note that he went to take that other couple's order as I watched stunned. They were sitting at the table right in front of us. I immediately told my husband that our money can be spent somewhere else. There were less than 8 guests during lunchtime, it all makes sense now! I wish I had read the reviews before trying that most unwelcoming/racist employee restaurant in Miami. The decor is night, they even have a neon sign and couch to take photos at, but after our looooong dinner, we were not in the mood. The food was good, the service was very slow, only two servers working the whole restaurant and bar. Our waitress had to be reminded of things because the poor thing was running around like a chicken without a head. Maybe it was an off day for the restaurant due to being very understaffed. We saw our food sitting at the pickup window forever, some out our meals were cold. Unfortunately for our group, this was a miss for us. We all agreed that it was a one and done experience. After visiting Fairchild Botanical Garden, we stopped into La Vida Misma .. drawn here by the Yelp reviews. The pictures on the menu were amazing .. sadly, the real thing didn't live up to the expectation. My Mojito was very good however my husband's Sunny Vacation was disgusting. The waiter was very polite about it, explained the Mezcal Tequila isn't for everyone and offered to bring something different. The Old Fashioned was good. Brie Butterfly was just ok (is it supposed to be cold?). The Caesars side salad was rather dry and tasteless. The burger was ok, cooked beyond medium, and could have used some other condiments to rev up the flavors. The Frito Misto only slightly resembled the photo. What was served was a whole lot of French Fries, 5 shrimp (reasonable) however the calamari was about half what was shown in the menu, where's I hadn't even noticed French Fries. Always looking to try and support new local restaurants. This restaurant is located in Downtown Dadeland and has both indoor and outdoor seating. They start you off with warm rolls, but the garlic herb butter steals this show. For our entrees we had Milanesa Felipe, which was a thin piece of chicken, breaded and fried. It was supposed to be topped with tomato sauce, which was missing and the chicken could have used some, but there was plenty of cheese and pepperonis. The other entree was a grilled chicken breast which was nicely done and juicy, although a little to salty for my licking. For our side we both got Cesar salads which the romaine lettuce was ripped into small pieces which was nice, it was soggy like it had sat in dressing for a long time. I wish downtown dadeland was more popular. It's a cool little area and there are so many restaurants to try out. I went to la vida misma for the first time Wednesday evening. They had happy hour 2x1 drink specials from 5 to close. Didn't try any but definitely plan to on a weekend. Started off with the brie butterfly - it's super cute and enough to split in half to share a tiny bite with your date if they want to try it. The Dates were good - not bad and not the best I've ever had. The croquetas were so delicious - will probably order every time I go back. Definitely the favorite for both of us. It's in a tomato sauce that really should just be a tomato bisque soup on there menu lol. It was so creamy and so delicious. The croquetas order comes with 3 (round) meatball sized so you can share. Entrees: flank steak with loaded mashed and fiocchi Di Peta & Gorgonzola (delicious!!!! And reminded me of the old perricones). Steak was big and we ended up sharing both things because we liked both so much. Juanes was the server and bartender for basically the entire restaurant and he was killing it. He was as attentive to all the tables and it was busy and almost closing and the food was still coming out at a good pace. Another great group lunch for two of our coworkers birthdays. We started off with the Prosciutto and Cheese board which was perfect for our group of nine people. This time I ordered the Eduardo Milanese with chicken and side of truffle Parmesan fries. I was very happy with my choice the Milanese made feel like I was still eating slightly healthier with the salad on top. But the truffle Parmesan fries were my cheat treat. Both of our steaks (NY Strip & Picanha) were insanely dry and barely seasoned. The mashed potatoes was missing salt, in fact...everything was missing salt. The butternut squash felt extremely buttery and the texture of it was too soft, we ended up sending it back. The best we had were the French fries and the brussel sprouts (good but very oily). Not worth the price. We pretty much had to salt everything because of how much it was lacking in flavor and something as simple as salt. Average came out to $ 62.00 per person, including tax and tip, with a couple of tapas (the croquetas, they were really cheese balls, but delicious). Would I go again ??
