He is attentive and knowledgeable and takes his time, never trying to rush you through as I've experienced with other optometrists. I had my first exam with him about a month ago and ordered lenses for my sunglasses. Please Be Careful When Picking Up Glasses! The service was excellent and service was prompt ! BUT there were a lot of mistakes in ordering and getting my glasses. It took 4 try's to get them right. I ordered them on April 7th and didn't get them until June 18th. When you get them make sure that that they have been checked for prescription, coatings, and measurements. These pesky details caused my problems and my long wait. They did a good job fixing the issues and the service was and is still 5 star. Just keep your eyes open read more

Dr. Richardson is a very knowledgeable and skilled Optometrist. His years of experience helped me through a very challenging process that culminated in cataract surgery with Toric Lens implants. This process resulted in correcting my vision from less than 20/300 without contact lens to almost 20/20 without corrective lens. I was on vacation and just dropped in because my eyes were itching! I thought it was because of the fires near by. The office staff were so friendly, and warm to a stranger! They worked me in for an appointment. When Dr. Richardson came in he was so nice and spent so much time with me! I had Blepharitis! He explained it to me, showed me a blow up picture of what my eyelids look like and how to treat it with wipes, and spray prescription medication. I went to get the prescription filled and my insurance wouldn't pay for it. The doctor looked it up and found me where I could buy it for under $30.00 instead of the pharmacy charging me $304.00! Dr. Richardson and his staff are wonderful! Dr. Richardson has a great, fun, and kind personality, and is so knowledgeable about optometry. He actually found something in my eyes that no one had noticed before -- eye calluses (not the technical term!). I had no idea those existed, but they were making my contacts uncomfortable. They are caused by sun damage, so I've been wearing good sunglasses everyday, and Dr. Richardson prescribed some new contacts that are super comfortable. These folks are fantastic! I was traveling on the train from LA to San Luis Obispo and lost a screw in my glasses. This was, of course the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I found these folks by googling in the browser of my iPhone, called them, and when my cousin picked me up, we made a beeline to their office. This is a very nice office with amazing modern equipment for eye exams, including checking the retina, etc.... Dr. Richardson is very, very thorough. I wear contact lenses, but I also got computer glasses that are really helping since I am a heavy computer user.
