What a lovely little place! So glad I stopped by, such a wonderful assortment of plants and the two girls who worked there, Lilly and Kate, were both incredibly knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to talk to. I left with a really cool resurrection plant, a beautiful hair clip and a great book recommendation!

Gorgeous space. Clean airy and full of light. This place is deceivingly big! I wanted to buy everything. The things in here are pricey but absolutely beautiful. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely would come back.

Lovely little plant shop with a nice variety of indoor plants some might require expert care while the others will do well with minimal care

I have over 30 plants now. Any questions or concerns I have I just walk to pistils and ask a staff member for help. They have helped me with things like knowing when plants need fertilizer and what temperature of water certain plants like. Lots of things that make my plants happier which makes me happier. Pro-tip always check out the red tag sale corner, 30% off. I've gotten some nice pots and a couple plants that just needed some tlc and are now looking great in my home. Thanks again all staff.

I'm a fan of the store! The first time I went, a couple months into the pandemic, the line was long and it took such a long time. The second time, when I went today, the line moved faster and it seemed there were more plants. I don't know, maybe my expectations were too high initially. All the plants they have were really great, had a variety of prices too. The pottery section is really my favorite. They had pots that would look great with any plant collection. So if you're getting pretty sick of this pandemic, started a plant collection or want to just a place you can browse, come here. They do only allow maybe 2 or 3 people in their main plant room and 2 people in their cash register room. They kindly ask you keep your shopping to a 15 mins maximum so others can shop as well. The person who was handling the register was very knowledgeable and good at controlling the plant people traffic. This place is defitely on my top 5 places for plants and all sorts of plant items. Their moss pole is beautiful and will happily go there again when I need a calm place or need a pretty pot.

Recently moved to NW Portland and stumbled upon this place. I have been really impressed with the friendly customer service each time I have been in the store and made a purchase. I was just in again today and received excellent help from Lily. I bought a new plant and planter that she graciously re-planted for me. I will continue to visit this place regularly and encourage you to do so as well.

Love this place. Great variety of plants and decent prices. Amelia told us everything we needed to know to care for our new plants.

I like Pistils. But I can't love it. I came here for my partner (as seen in my photo) who has picked up a plant hobby during this time. And we enjoyed very much walking through the nursery. Many, MANY different options if you are looking to diversify your collection. Or like me stare at the marimo plants because thats the only one you could ever take care of. The interior is a bit more urban which is to be expected and really supplements the aesthetic of a nursery in my opinion. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is due to its price and being able to find better deals elsewhere. Everything else about Pistils has my heart and out of all the nurseries we visited, it still looked the best. But my wallet would have to disagree.

I adore this place. Really lovely plants with a clean and modern aesthetic that I can get behind. Tons of containers that I think are gorgeous, and lots of more unique ways to bring plants indoors. Lots of succulents, air plants, rock plants, etc. Make a terrarium. Make a wall hangy-thing. Make a mossy ball with plants coming out of it. Make all sorts of things that I'm sure have real names that I just don't know! Not cheap, but worth it for the curated experience. Visiting Pistils has always made me happy, and I let out a legit little shriek when I stumbled across this new Slabtown location. The ONLY reason I give this 4 instead of 5 stars is because it pales in comparison to their original location on N Mississippi. It's not their fault that this location doesn't have an outside area, but when the OG spot also includes a chicken coop, nothing else can quite stack up.

Love this sweet little spot. I've been coming here to buy plants for a little bit now. Yesterday I took the kiddos there to make terrariums for Valentine's Day. We brought our own containers and the really nice clerk showed us where to pick plants and which families of plants would live well together and then let us make it then bad there. The kids picked three plants each at $6 and then got to go thru this fun little dresser with drawers filled with different sands, stones and rocks. Their creations turned out great and the grand total (minus the containers from home) was $35.00. It was awesome. Thanks Pistals!!!

Nice little shop in trendy area. Not as big as the main store, but worth a look. Street parking can be packed at times.

Cherry cordials, pear cordials, apple cordials in chocolates. Caramel chocolates, chocolate caramels. Thing is it's hard for not to love the store because it has three of my favorite things: 1. chocolate: shelves and shelves of unique artisan chocolates made with skill and care from all over the world. 2. And salt -- am a VERY big fan of picking up local salts whenever one is traveling -- including actual blocks and blocks of Himalayan salt stacked. Not imitation but the real stuff. They even have fresh popcorn for you to taste the truffle salt with. 3. Lastly they have fresh cut flowers. It's like a florist and you can create your own bouquets. Beautiful specimens with structure and freshness. I have to say they also have bottles and bottles of bitters -- crafted bitters. King Floyd chief among them. The staff person was super helpful. She was kind and educational about many things.

Smaller selection of pantry items, small bags of pasta with their name, and hot sauces. Also a few books books, focusing on salts, bitters and cocktails, of course! I've purchased some of the Maldonado finishing salt, and it absolutely makes a difference. Never use these salts as an ingredient, it's used to sprinkle on meats, veggies, potatoes, right before serving. Awesome on chocolate cookies. They even sell small containers for salt, known as salt cellars, so you can keep your favorite salt in your purse in case your restaurant meal is lacking that little something extra. They refill for life, for the tiny ones only. I enjoy checking out this store when I'm in the area or when looking for a gift for one of my foodie friends. I'd buy more, but the prices are very high, especially the pasta and chocolate. I can't rationalize $12-15 for a chocolate bar that I'll eat in one sitting. Maybe I'm the problem, maybe one bar is supposed to last for many servings!
