Add the sauce and whoa just whoa! We tried the brisket (B-), ribs (A), rib tips (B+), baked Beans (B+), mac n cheese (B+), Greens & potato salad (B). However the absolute star of the restaurant are the smoked wings. My goodness smoked to perfection, flavorful, crispy but juicy! I highly recommend adding the lemon pepper seasoning to take the smoked wings to an orbital level. Overall, the best bbq I've had in the Atlanta area. I've been here previously to the old location in the old building by myself. The second time visiting I went with my sister Medinah a couple of years ago in the new building. Came across this place while in town for the weekend. It was a very spacious restaurant with a bar in the front and they had live entertainment. You come in and order at the back whether you are dining in or doing carry-out. I got my order to go but if you dine in you place your order and then choose where you want to sit and they bring your food to your table. Since I did carry out I waited near the back and they called my name when my order was ready. The staff were very friendly and it didn't take long to receive my order. Stopped in yesterday during the cold, windy snowy day we were having in Atlanta. This place was an old favorite, and I hadn't been in a really long time, and was hungry for the comfort of some tender BBQ Ribs .... Well, the young lady at the counter was super sweet in delivering the bad news that they were completely out of Ribs and Chicken :( So not to be outdone, they do serve a true "chopped pork" sandwich and it's really delicious- their sauce is good and they put plenty of meat on it. That sandwich coupled with Slaw and Fries worked out fine.... But I'm still wanting those ribs today. Also grabbed a slice of pound cake...it was delicious also. The food was so disappointing. I ordered the 3 meat plate but they were out of both Rob types and wings so I had the rib tips, pulled pork, and brisket. My two sides were baked beans and collard greens. I added an extra side of coleslaw. First the salt level is out of this world on everything even the coleslaw! All of the bar was over cooked and dried out. The brisket was the worst. It was hard, dried out, and chewy. The pulled pork was dry and chewy. The rib tips were ok, I believe the fat saved them on the inside but they were the most salty. The collard greens tasted like just greens with a lot of salt. The baked beans were ok just like the bush's can. The coleslaw amazingly was salty as well and had a strange celery salt flavor. Without the drink and extra side, this was absolutely not worth $38. Really flavorful, only reason it's not a ten, at least for me, I needed a little vinegar just to add depth. But very tender and all-around good. Peach cobbler 3/10 Too doughy, and not enough peaches. I prefer more peach than crust. It was honestly a little underbaked. Good amount of sweetness but not much more flavor. No cinnamon, no nutmeg...etc! Peach tea...I added a little to the regular sweet tea, and it was a good pairing. The little peach tea I did add had a very peachy flavor and lessened the sweetness, which was perfect. I WAS going to order online, however the menu online does not match the menu on the website -- something they should fix as a matter of efficiency. I ordered my food via the telephone. We got a full rack of ribs with baked beans, mac & cheese and cornbread. 1/2 lb of rib tips, potato salad, cornbread. When we got there, we saw they had desserts. We got German chocolate cake and pound cake. My friend did not like the ribs because they were boiled and stringy (he doesn't eat out for BBQ because he does a good job on his own grill at home, so he was not enthused). The BAKED BEANS! They should be ASHAMED! SERIOUSLY! The presentation of the baked beans looks like a can of pork and beans. NOTHING but BEANS, no onions, no brisket or meat in it, JUST beans. They doctored them up to taste fine, but the presentation is atrocious. He said the mac & cheese was average. Rib tips- average. The cornbread was homemade, and I like buttery cornbread, but this was not. The potato salad needs to be renamed on the menu to add MUSTARD potato salad. Which I do NOT like. ALL it was, was potatoes and mustard, I didn't see any onions, relish or any OTHER thing besides potatoes. My friend said he liked the German chocolate cake. The pound cake was moist but salty. Food: I have eaten a little bit of everything from here, from the smoke wings to the loaded, baked potato. I will say my favorite thing on their menu is the brisket. It is always tender and well seasoned even without the barbecue sauce. Now I will say, I'm not a fan of their desserts however barbecue, they got it. Another favorite of mine, is their baked potato. I really wanted this place to be off the charts for BBQ but sad to say that it was good but not something I'd consider over the top BBQ. First of all the order process is somewhat confusing, you've got to get in one of two lines to order your food then have to sit at a table and wait. And don't get in the wrong line because I got in the "Say and Eat" line and didn't realize it even though I wanted carry out and my order was not packed to go. The ribs were good, fall off the bone good but a little dry however their BBQ sauce took care of that ( the BNQ sauce is outstanding!). The wings which were smoked were rubbery, could not even attempt to eat the skin. Once I got through the skin the meat was tender but I couldn't get over the rubbery skin. Collards were just OK and the potato salad was decent. I have to say my piece of cornbread was not the best, maybe it was because it was an end piece, not sure.
