Glazed Ribs

Lickety split is a really nice soul food place near the airport. I went for the glazed pork rib and walked away extremely satisfied. The baked beans, macaroni and cheese, hoe cakes were all really good. The service is friendly.

The fish was so fresh and good. The burger was great as well. I will definitely be returning back tomorrow while I'm visiting. The service was good as well. The vibe had good music so the ambience was cool.

I had a great time at this restaurant. I was able to try a lot of the dishes, and see what I liked. Greens: they had a nice flavor, and had a kick of spice. I do wish that they had smoked turkey in them, but it's a nice option if you don't eat meat. Mac and cheese: it was pretty good, and complimented a lot of the dishes. Yams: not a fan. They weren't sweet at all. Dressing: the dressing was so good, but it was a little too moist for me. The shrimp was ok, but it could've had more flavor. I'd definitely come back here again as the service was great.

First off the food is delicious! Parking in the back is super convenient. However, as a first timer, it was a bit confusing. I couldn't tell what the system of service was. Was it a sit down? Do I order and wait for my name or number to be called? People were kind but when I asked if I could sit anywhere, I was told yes and handed a menu. After sitting for a good five minutes with no one coming over to me, I got up and asked the bartender how to order. She took my order and told me she'd bring it to me. While I waited I observed an actual system which would have been nice for someone to explain it to me or have signs with directions. I also didn't appreciate the packaging charge added to my bill. There are no signs informing customers of this. When I questioned it, I was told that since Covid they only use disposable plates and utensils. Covid has been over for years now. The packaging should be a part of doing business and not an additional 10% to the bill.

Was sent on a fish sandwich mission and was about to give up and settle for McDonald's. While waiting in the drive thru, I spotted lickety split across the street and look them up. I am so glad I did! Service was prompt, the menu is straight forward, and the restaurant decor is homey and cute! I even got to meet the owners! They have a full bar as well as desserts . Note meals are built meaning they have the main proteins and sides a la carte. I got the 2pc catfish entree to meet the fish sandwich need and the beef brisket for myself, with a side of greens. When I say delicious!! Everything was fresh and good! It is now on my short list for soul food. Free parking is available in the back lot.

In town for a weekend visit and was craving glazed salmon. Specifically glazed. Opened Yelp and lickety split popped up. The price, pictures on yelp and location is what heightened my interest. Placed a pick up order over doordash and it was ready on pickup. Location is near the airport. Restaurant has 2 entrances, main entrance is behind building in parking lot. Friendly staff, relaxed seating.

Traveled to Atlanta with my grandchildren. This was our first stop for dinner. The customer service was superior and everything we ordered was delicious.

Wings and Shrimp

Just tried Lickety Split in Hapeville and overall it was a really good experience. We started with the chicken wings as an appetizer -- they were okay, nothing spectacular, but a solid start. For the main course, my girlfriend had the turkey wing with rice, and she really enjoyed it. She said the seasoning was on point and full of flavor. I ordered the fried shrimp with collard greens and candied yams. The candied yams were definitely a highlight -- sweet, flavorful, and cooked just right. The collard greens, though, didn't taste as fresh as I would've liked -- almost like they may have been canned. The iced tea was really good, and my friend enjoyed her glass of wine. One thing to note: everything is served in styrofoam containers with plastic flatware instead of traditional plates and silverware. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. They do offer a military discount, but it only applies to the individual with the military ID -- not the entire table if you're dining with family or on a date. I appreciate that they acknowledge service members, but it would be nice if the discount extended to the whole party. Overall, it was a great experience with very good service, and I'd probably go back again. If you're in the Hapeville area and craving some soul food, it's worth checking out.

Homestyle Fries

Visited when I was in town and was very disappointed. Service wasn't great, food was a disappointment, and it was very warm inside. The cabbage wasn't seasoned, the ribs had a powdery thick glaze on them, but the fries weren't bad.

Visited town and decided to give this place a try and very glad we did. Cute but smaller spot with a few tables on one side for regular dining and a full bar and high top tables on the other side. We came in on a Friday evening around 6 and it was busy. You order at the counter and then they call you for your food. Food was delicious. My husband and I tried the fried, smothered pork chops which were super tender and flavorful. Honey lemon pepper wings which were the best wings I've had in a long time. The candied yams and potato salad were also delicious. The bread basket of hoe cakes were yummy and unique. To top it all off, the red velvet cake was out of this world. Definitely tasted like someone's grandmother made it. Highly recommend if in the area.

My husband and I were coming back from the airport and stayed at the Staybridge Suites. The gentleman at the front desk recommended Lickety Split and he knew what he was talking about. I had the turkey wing, cornbread dressing and collard greens. My husband had the grilled shrimp, baked beans and coleslaw. The food was hot and seasoned to perfection!! Whenever I fly out of or into Atlanta I will be making a stop by Lickety Split!!! The strawberry nana pudding was the bow on the meal.

Food was perfect! Served fast, hot, and it was all delicious. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food.

Quaint is the best way to describe this location. Downtown college park maybe a block away from Nouvea . I would come here or possible rent the venue for a girls night in the back room. What I would not do is come here for a date night. (Per the IG review that lead most of us here) It gives off "grass wall" neon and strobe lighting / young adult ambiance. Like a jhene aiko -- summer walker music video set had a baby. Over 30 +years old. Don't do it . We went specifically because of the Instagram hype. Instagram will lead you down a rabbit hole to just any and everything. The venue itself is long. It's not big width wise at all. I cannot think of a venue to compare it to as it's very quaint . Maybe a small boutique is a good comparison. The playlist they had going was really good. No in ceiling speakers. Speakers were floor bass speakers . Now the service A1 we came on a Thursday a young man working the bar was very kind and very patient especially seeing as he was by himself. Everyone came by the drink special advertised on Instagram. The young man was so busy we weren't sure what brand of tequila we were drinking, but you do receive your flight. The back room is "hidden" past a bookshelf . The front area is a small bar with maybe 6-8 bar stools. We did not order as we knew we weren't staying long. we ordered the $10 tequila flights. 2 each ... and left. Again the service wasn't the problem the expectation versus what you receive personally turned me off. It is not meant for date nights, maybe small gatherings or catch ups with your girlfriends. The same gentlemen working the bar was also back-and-forth between the kitchen so food service was probably gonna be long as well. I probably will not be back but again it was an OK experience the venue itself could be cool to rent out.

This intimate spot has a $5.00 hh everyday from 4-10. I had the espresso martini and the red wedding. Pics in this post. You can tell when a bar owner loves a craft cocktail. Each drink had layers of flavor. The espresso drink was on the hh which means it was about half the size as the other drink. Totally worth it. Especially if you're bar hopping. Staff was helpful and warm. And the atmosphere is quirky and unique. There is a lil room in the back where they have Kareoke. Very unique spot. Would definitely come on the regular if I lived in the area.

Sad, because that's why I initially came to this restaurant. But I digress, the seating area is lovely, and inviting. The bar has several TVs where you can watch sports, and the seating at the bar area is plentiful. I opted for the 10oz NY strip steak for dinner (48$) It came with mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus. The food wasn't bad. But it wasn't excellent either. Steak was a bit tough and badly needed spices, but it was cooked to the temp I asked for (rare), which is hard to get these days, even from "steak houses." All-in-all, not bad for a hotel restaurant. I brought in some fans when the air was out a couple of days ago. Let me preface by saying that I did this to help my friends. I didn't want anyone to have to work in ridiculous heat. I brought two small fans and one large. I got my two small fans yesterday, no problem at all. I came in tonight and Yanna (who I have always been cool and amicable with, for quite a while), acted like my last fan wasn't available and it was somehow stolen, though I had seen it hanging over the staircase the night before. It would simply be ok with me to get my property back. It's shameful that any of this turned out the way it did. I'm literally one of the quietest and nicest people that anyone ever deals with. I did not have any kind of negative interaction, but was treated as if I was being a nuisance and causing a problem. I am always kind and calm, I never have any issue with any server or bartender. It really disappoints me because I've always been a kind guest, and have always been treated well. But I think my time with Chairs is now done. It sucks, because all of my interactions with everyone leading to this moment has been really great. Jess, Cay, Ike, Nigel, Major, Kelly. Everyone until one stupid night with one stupid fan. I was not at all forceful, just inquisitive. I really feel like Yanna didn't have an answer for a very soft question and instead of looking into it, turned me into a villain, using Jess as a stopgap in order to avoid dealing with a very simple situation that could have just been dealt with by either giving my fan back, or the owner spending fifty bucks on a fan of the same caliber and writing it off as a business expense. This is all very sad. I enjoyed being at chairs. I'm done.

Beercode, I am not sure you know how lucky you! If all the reviews have not hipped you, than nothing will. But at least here's one more review to solidify what I think so many are saying! Hands-down Tanika delivered one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a very long time. Even before I made it to the counter, I was already being greeted with menu in hand, all while she was still handling drinks for other customers. Where in 2026 do you see that kind of awareness and multitasking ... not too many places! So needless to say, I was impressed right off the bat! Although the crowd was very steady, she never missed a step! Composure, efficiency, and engagement all wrapped up in one really made this place about the service she was providing more than the beer or the food, (although the beer was good too)! I did not have a chance to order food, but it could have come to the table burnt to a crisp and Tanika would have made me feel like that was the best burnt crispy meal I've ever eaten. Thanks for letting me know that there are still a few of us who believe in the "golden era" of hospitality and customer service, it's just too easy to be a great host, server, bartender, etc. to make sure your guests are having the kind of experience that makes them want to return! I loved that I didn't feel rushed or overlooked, but actually valued! This will be a stop every time I am in this airport, so if Tanika is not there, someone has some very BIG shoes to fill!
