My husband hasn't had this baked potato in 19 years and so we HAD to come grab one while in Texas. That thing was HUGE! It's should the size of 3-4 regular baked potatoes and smothered in all the butter, bbq brisket, cheese and oh my it smelled amazing! I went a bit more sensible and had the salad bar. There was a good amount of choices in customizing your own salad. I wound up doing a Greek goddess kind of salad and I was not disappointed. My husband ordered a quarter of a muffalatta and potato soup. He enjoyed it. His only complaint was he likes the potatoes cooked a little longer, almost to the point of dissolving. I had a half Reuben sandwich and tortilla soup. The Reuben was stacked high with meat and properly heated. Went for the first time today for lunch. As others have mentioned this place gets busy at lunchtime. I ordered the Hot Roast Beef on French bread and I was very happy I did. The bread was very good and reminded me of my home town. The food was hot and fresh and the Salt and vinegar chips were hard to stop eating. This is a very large sandwich shop with tons of choices. The salad bar looked like it would be a good choice for anyone looking for healthy options. I ordered the Italian Cruz po'boy for a quick to go lunch last Friday. I was hoping it would hit the spot but sadly it didn't. I think it was Italian dressing that was drizzled on top. It tasted more like it was poured upon! That and the different types of meat tasted the same. Although it was probably because of the dressing overpowering everything. My one star review stands after deciding to try this restaurant again. This time I never even got to order. I had low blood sugar and making decisions in this state is quite hard. I was by Jason's Deli so I reluctantly went in. I asked if they could make me the Zucchini Gillini even though it's no longer on the menu. I really like this place and live really close so I can't believe I have not been going here more often. The deli id so nice it has a full salad bar, sandwich making process on display different chips and drinks as well as a great variety of topping options. I ordered online for pickup and created my own sandwich, it was delicious but also a little dry considering the type of bread and that they aren't too liberal with the spreads. I also ordered chips a drink and a slice of cheesecake, they forgot to put the chips on the bag so I didn't get them but overall I really enjoyed the real deli experience and the taste of the food. The salad bar is a 10/10! You customize it to your liking with a nice variety of ingredients. A majority of them are no extra cost, the only extra cost being the meat/seafood/extra dressing. Jasons deli is one of my favorite delis in the area, I usually get the taco salad because of the amazing chili and all the toppings they have. I get my chips on the side and regular beef chili. I love adding all the delicious ingredients on top of a chip and taking the perfect bite every time. I went again a week ago and was told that they didn't have The return trip salad bar. When I asked why, I was met with a bit of reluctance by the girl at the counter. She said that's just what they told her. I figured it is probably COVID based, however that a sorry excuse. If you are afraid of COVID you should close the self serve are down completely. I've been coming here for years with my family and the food is always fresh and delicious. I love the variety on the menu, they really do have something for everyone. The salad bar has a large variety of toppings as well as a few desserts (I love love love the chocolate mousse). Occasionally things run out and sometimes they take awhile to restock it. I've only really noticed this on times I go when it's not busy, around 3 or 4 oclock. During peak times the place can get a bit dirty and noisy, but they try their best.
