This place is pretty spectacular. It's the hugest Greek place I've ever been to and it smelled delicious on the outside like freshly charcoal cooked meat when you go inside they have the meat on the spits and it's pretty impressive. You can see them shaving the meat off the spits we got a few things from here. I forgot to take some pictures, but we got a couple Shawarma plates chicken Shawarma plate. We got a sandwich. Everything was OK. We wished that the hummus had a little bit more garlic taste. It's really tahini forward which is OK all in all if we were back in Chicago in this area, we will come back. One of the best Mediterranean food around here. You try anything up here it's gonna be very good other than the beef dishes. I have tried almost all their items and they are finger licking good. I really love their spicy chicken Shawarma sandwich and their veggie combo. I feel they should get an item out where I could mix the spicy chicken Shawarma meat on top of veggie combo. That would be the best dish anyways coming back again hopefully next week. The service is quick, even though they're busy all the time they give priority on good food and delivered quickly. For the place I feel it's all right, but the food is phenomenal so I really don't care about the place. It's one of my go to place when I'm hungry and I don't wanna experiment. I ordered a to go order but when you get there to pick up there was a long line and everyone just looks confused. No one knew if there was a pick up line or not and everyone just stood in the same line. It's honestly very inefficient bc the orders for pick up r literally just sitting right behind the counter and someone can go up and there and grab it in 10 seconds versus waiting for someone to order their food. Any place you go, you can go up to the counter for pick up right away see chipotle , McDonald's , pita pita , every place that allows for pick up and delivery has a separate line for pick ups. It can just be better differentiated bc you feel stupid waiting for 10 minute when your food is already done and it takes 20-30 seconds to pick up. I don't have any problem with waiting in line if there were ppl in front of me for pick up but i don't think it's fair to wait in the same line as someone just ordering food. It's the same courtesy I would give to others that are delivery drivers or needing to get to somewhere sooner. TLDR:Please add a sign for pick up orders n a separate line for that and if there is no one in that line then that person can help the next person waiting in the normal line as well. read more

Pita Inn was an obvious choice when I used to work across the street. Their Business Lunch is still an inexpensive lunch. Their falafel is good. In fact this is the place I first tried it. Chicken tenders and shawarma are very good. It's a quick service but you feel welcome here unlike many other better know quick service places. I would say this review is closer to a 3.5 than a 3 - I'm not sure if we came in on an off night but the meats off the spitz were very dry and tough. Little to no moisture on the meats which was not what we expected as the food was being cooked in front of us. The meats had good flavor but was just texturally tough to eat over all. I tried the chicken shawarma while my husband got the combo plate. The moment the meats appeared on the plate I could already tell the juices had been dried out. Food is delicious and super consistent. I was having a house warming party and no brained I ordered pita inn catering! And what do you know delicious!!! Chicago has plenty of great Mediterranean restaurants. However, the one that stands out on top of all of them is Pita Inn. Here's my take on the experience: Quality: excellent. They have several locations and all of them are in the suburbs. However, what I have found is that the quality and taste is consistent between all the locations. The thing to get here is either the business lunch special or the chicken shawarma (either sandwich or a platter). On my most recent trip, I opted for the chicken shawarma sandwich and boy was it good! The sandwich comes with thin slices of marinated chicken cooked on a slowly revolving rotisserie, served in a pita pocket with lettuce and tomato. I highly suggest getting a side of onions and adding it to the pita. The chicken is so juicy and so perfectly spiced that it'll blow your mind. The next important thing to do is to douse your sandwich with the spicy sauce and the tahini sauce. These two sauces are homemade and are sooo good that you can sometimes find me drinking them like a soup (no judging :) Decor: nice and pleasant. Depending on which location you go to, the decor could be different. Typically, there are scenes from the middle east and the music is always playing middle eastern music. Cleanliness: good. The tables and the floor were kept nice is clean. Service: good. The cashier and the folks that hand you the order are quick and efficient. You'll get a number and then it'll be yelled out on a speaker when the food is ready. Make sure to ask for any extra sauces or toppings when you pickup your food from the counter. Price: reasonable. The shawarma sandwich costs around $7. If you're in the Chicago 'burbs then you must checkout Pita Inn. You'll leave with a very happy stomach. read more

Great experience every time I visit! I usually order either the falafel plate or vegetarian combo. The falafel plate comes with rice, 6 falafels, tomato, and lettuce. The vegetarian combo comes with 3 falafels along with a variety of dips and salads. I usually also order the spicy hummus or baba ganoush as a side/app. If u like spicy foods definitely try the spicy hummus - it has a great kick to it and is definitely a unique dish! We had an array of meals here. We went with friend and everyone ordered something different. It happened to have been very busy but the restaurant is quite large so there was no problem with seating. We started out with an order of baba ganoush which is a kind of mashed eggplant that comes with pita. For meals we had falafel with are balls covered in breadcrumbs. The balls are mashed up garbanzo beans, and they are terrific. It's actually funny considering I would never eat a garbanzo bean. There was a beef schawarma, which is slices that are cut off of spit and very well seasoned. There was a beef kefta which is ground beef wrapped up in grape leaves served with rice and veggie). The last meal was chicken kabobs served over rice with a veggie. Everybody enjoyed their meals and there was plenty to eat. read more

We decided to stop in for lunch at this Mediterranean grill. We both ordered the Business Lunch Plate and could not believe how much food we got for the price. They had it loaded down with a combination of shish kabob, kefta kabob, shawarma, chicken tender, and falafel served with rice, salad, and homemade pita bread. The rice is so super flavorful. The shawarma was so super thin sliced, and the kefta had so much flavor. The Falafel was perfectly crisp on the outside and super flavorful on the inside. And the hot sauce packs a punch, but it's so good. The staff was efficient and pleasant. We went for a late lunch, and they were not super busy. The food came out pretty quickly but wasn't as hot as it could have been. The parking lot is a decent size. Bathrooms are clean but in a little bit of disrepair. The location is easy to find right off Rte 60. Lots of construction in the area with new housing going in, so traffic patterns could be impacted at times. read more
