We did start with appetizers including the saganaki, but it definitely had sat too long - it was super flavorful but way different than when they bring it out flaming. The hostess and desk staff were fantastic- called our host by name leaving, which was a nice touch. Our server was very funny and personal, but it was a little firm over function- I felt like he was using his personality as a distraction. I would absolutely come here again as I love Greek food and they also have a nice offering of Greek wine - need to try more!

I assume they were out of all of those? We really wanted hummus but it was not on the menu. When we finished our meal, we noticed the table behind us had hummus... it would have been nice to know they had hummus. Also, we really wanted to try the manti but did not see it on the menu. At the end of the meal, my husband wanted a coffee and the waitress said there was no coffee and the machine was broke. Service was ok. Waitress forgot our drink. Not very attentive. Dining area is small but cute. They are planning to expand the dining area so there really isn't much of a market anymore. Prices are pretty high in comparison to most Turkish/middle eastern restaurants. They do give you yummy bread and Babaganoush. I want to try it again in hopes that other menu items are available.

What I found was a $40 dollar value meal for $20. I've eaten at this Pita Lita Mediteranean Grill before & @ this Palatine location on multiple occasions..Pita Pita has multiple locations. Their food is very good both my wife & I ordered the mixed meat signature plate for $19 a piece. This dish comes w/a very good variety of meats like chicken & beef shawarma, grilled chicken, grilled beef & beef kifta along with/a Mediterranean salad, yellow rice & 4 - 1/2 pocket pitas perfect for making a pita sandwich. We took the 1/2 pita & put a variety of chicken, beef, salad & yellow rice & topped it w/tahini sauce & hot sauce. This made an excellent pita pocket sandwich. The mixed meat platter makes for an excellent meal w/generous sized portions & excellently seasoned meal. In fact we had left overs so I will have lunch tomorrow. The Groupon made a good meal even better because we were able to order 2 excellent meals for $20. PPMG has multiple locations all over Chicagoland. This one was in Palatine off of Dundee & 53. I've also eaten @ the Rolling Ghetto & Lombard locations. I see they also have locations in Des Plaines, Chicago (closer to me), Skokie, 200 W Randolph (no parking). And no matter how busy it gets, they have a good attitude and get the order correct b I ordered the sandwich, french fries and a small container of their garlic sauce. I took it to go. The sandwich comes with 3 falafels, lettuce and I top it off with their red spicy sauce and garlic. Every bite had a nice kick of spice and the garlic is creamy and has a not too overwhelming. The pita is good but just warmed, I'd love it if it was grilled or slightly fried over a flat top. The Falafel had a slight crispy and tenderness to it. Overall, I really love this place. And next time, I'll try the Impossible Kefta.

There was also a great selection of proteins and main stars of the meal: falafel, beef shish kabobs, chicken tender, and kefta kabos. I tried a bit of everything and it was all SO GOOD! The meats were seasoned beautifully and were tender, the falafel wer crisp and flavorful, and all the sides were refreshing and delightful. I was definitely surprised at how good the meal experience was, as I tend to be quite picky when it comes to West Asian/Mid-Eastern food. Overall, Pita Inn was an EXCELLENT spot to cater from! I ordered the Greek Chicken with their lemon-butter rice. They debone the chicken and serve atop a mountain of their rice. If also had their potatoes (which are good) but the rice is magical. The first time we went, they had a serve yourself soda fountain and they since got rid of it and sell soda in bottles and cans. They do still have a self-serve water station. Once you order, staff will bring to your table, so please tip when you order or leave on the table as they do come by and clear your table as well. It is first come first served and you grab your own tables. I've been there on weekends and weeknights and they get pretty packed. The food is flavorful and quite tasty. The portions are huge so you're definitely going to bring something home. Nostimo is now in our rotation of places to go in a pinch and they do have an outdoor seating area, too.

My one son has major allergies so we spoke to the chef and he came back out to recommend the dishes he can have. My son with the allergies ordered the Pork Kalamakia with Greek Rice and no pita, my other son ordered the Traditional Pork Gyro with Greek Rice. The sides we ordered: Saganaki Fritters and Spanakopitakia. My son that ordered the Pork Kalamakia devoured it. He said it was tender and juicy and probably could have eaten 4 skewers. My Shrimp Kalamakia was nicely charred and seasoned, I squeezed some lemon and it provided a nice tang over the seasoning. The Lemon rice pilaf was soft and cook just right and was nicely balanced. I had one Saganaki Ball and it was delicious. My son had the Pork Gyros said it was really good and the Tzatziki sauce was creamy and rich with flavors. My in-laws bought the table desserts and I got the Baklava and my wife got Loukoumades (Greek Donuts with Nutella) and both did not disappoint. I really loved the citrus honey syrup in the Baklava. The Loukoumades had a crispy shell and nice a fluffy on the inside and the Nutella amount was perfect. This place is very good and well worth the price in my opinion. On a weekday evening, as expected, the restaurant was not busy.  We were promptly seated at a 4-top table (2 × 2-top) against the right wall, with some other 2-tops on both sides.  Like many reviewers had mentioned, the venue was beautiful, modern and chic. There were 7 tables occupied, including us.  The music that they had was not too loud, just that customers' conversations were amplified by the box shape open dining area.  If we focused enough, we could hear every conversation if we wanted to.  This was obvious when a table of about 6 women got seated at a table near the front door, some of them laughed and talked very loudly.  My husband and I just found it funny and didn't let that bother us.  However, when the restaurant is filled on busier days, it might be a different story. Our server, Patrick, was very nice and attentive.  Since they did not list drinks on their menu except those with alcohol, I asked him about non-alcoholic drinks.  After a brief "discussion", he asked me to leave it to him to make me a drink with mango.  He came up with a beautiful drink that was good and refreshing, with some mango flavor.  It was Virgin Paloma on our receipt for $8, which was reasonable.  He was very polite and checked in on us several times at appropriate times during our dinner.  The pace of the dinner was good, we spent a total of an hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant. Patrick might be the only waiter serving all the tables that evening, though. I also ordered Grilled Octopus ($22) which was very good, tender and flavorful, but was a little too salty to my taste.  The small pita bread wedges were warm and fluffy with some crispy edges, the beet hummus was creamy, and everything was delicious and tasted fresh.  I generously shared 2 little bites of octopus with my husband and I finished the entire plate, it was so good!  My husband really liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) and I shared a bite of that too.  He also had a House Salad for $6, that was a very good value.  He enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Crossing ($12) too.  We also shared an order of Crème Brulee ($8), that was creamy and cooked perfectly.  We ordered a takeout order of Rigatoni with Sausage ($23), that was a good portion, and was still delicious and al dente the next day after being microwaved. I am so happy that we found Social Inn - a hidden gem in Plaza del Prado, it's not far from home, with comfortable and beautiful ambiance, excellent service (from Patrick), an attractive menu with enticing food (fresh ingredients and appealing plating), and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back!

I do wish they were open at lunch time still, but I understand they need to be open for their busiest hours. Social Inn is a great option when you are in the Glenview area.

The bowl serving seemed kind of small- especially for being $13. The bowl also came with a small salad inside, but I was not a fan of the pickle that was cut up, but that's just personal preference for me. The falafels were crispy and tasty. And the hummus was good, fresh and homemade, and looked amazing, but while getting close to the bottom of it, I found a tiny blue spec mixed in the hummus. Of course it caught my attention and I removed it to inspect it more. Possible a piece of sponge??? Needless to say, it shouldn't have been in there and it ruined my experience with the hummus.
