While visiting AZ, my family and I stopped by Pita Kitchen to try some Greek fare as Greek food in Hawaii is limited. On the menu, Philly Pita, Kids Chicken Swarma, Side of Falafel, Side of Pita Chips with a cilantro hummus and steak sharma bowls. We decided to eat "in" so we walked up to the counter, placed our order, took a seat and food was delivered to our table. Counter person was extremely nice and helpful as we took a good 5 minutes to choose what we wanted to try (luckily there was no line at the time). I enjoyed the Philly Pita with Gyro. Pillowy pita and flavorful gyro. I enjoyed the side order of pita and hummus (pita interestly was deep fried with a crispy outside and chewy inside and the hummus was really yummy with a mixture of regular chickpea hummus with cilantro - definitely would recommend if you like cilantro). My niece and nephew enjoyed their steak shwarma bowls. Portions were good as they were able to combine their leftovers to take home for later. Damn am I lucky to live in mini Greek town Glendale. This place is up there. The gyro meat was okay a little beef jerkeyie. Pita was awesome. Veggies were crisp and that tazaki was good. The chicken schwarma with garlic sauce was better but everything above applies. The to go pita chips and hummus was the true hero. Comes with a fluffy pita chip (new to me but so freaking good) and a Dixie cup of the best hummus you will have. I could eat this all day, and want to make this a tailgate necessity. Pita chips and hummus were good but I was surprised that it's 90% pita chips and 10% hummus. I was expecting that to be the other way around, the hummus was in a tiny sauce to-go container. This is a yes yes yes for us. We pick up food from there atleast once a month. The food is fresh and delicious. I've never had a bad meal from there. My favorite is the chicken kabob plate for sure. Everything I ordered through Uber Eats was fantastic. I ordered the original and the jalapeno cilantro hummus. Both were creamy and seasoned perfectly. I also got a Greek salad with a good assortment of vegetables. And the Greek dressing was delicious. I also got traditional pitas, chicken, and one steak kabob with fries, and everything tasted as fresh as it was hot when it arrived at my house in Surprise. Had not been to Pita Kitchen in over a year. There menu has changed. They use to have salmon on their menu. No more. I went for the Chicken Shawarma Pita and there Greek fries. The chicken was over cooked and so dry it was hard to swallow. The fries have feta cheese a some parsley. They were too greasy for my tasts buds. I ate maybe half of the pita and a few fries. Hate throwing away food but this lunch was a disaster. There are lots of mediterranean resturants in the area. I will not be going back. read more

Chicken Kabobs were perfect, a lot of times I am reluctant to order stuff like that because they can be dry but I am so glad I did! The beef was perfect and Ninos gave great customer sevice! I ordered three different meats , the chicken kabobs, the gyro meat and the beef kabobs which is just ground beef well seasoned shaped into a sort of kabob like meat . All the meat was overcooked and dry . The fist time here I had the chicken schwama which was also dry . The rice was boring and tasteless. The regular hummus was good . This place does have potential if they don't overcook all of the meat and they learn how to cook rice pilaf. read more

Delicious, authentic, fresh greek food! We have been here multiple times and tried quite a bit but our favorites are the chicken shawarma and the cilantro hummus. I get the shawarma plate with a salad base, the dressing is perfect. The garlic sauce is the absolute best I've ever had. Not sure what gives it a pink color, but trust me, you'll want to try it. The pitas are fresh and warm. It seems the kitchen prep time has improved remarkably in recent months (it used to be a long wait).
