First time customer. Think Subway meets Taco Del Mar, kinda, with a grill option. Clean place, nicely decorated, and as others have said very friendly staff. The ordering is reverse of subway though: In this case you pay first then go down the line for assembly, so that takes a bit of getting used to. I also had a bit of trouble understanding the server with her accent, but that's where a good attitude makes all the difference. Her attitude is the difference maker. I had a very pleasant experience here. I'll be back. I'll recommend this place to others. The pita is opened, stuffed then wrapped like a burrito...you gotta see it. I went to the new location on Old Seward because of the value pak coupon for free cookie. I came at the beginning of the dinner rush. A lot of confusion among staff. I ordered 3 pitas all on wheat, I payed first and was told I would get the free cookie. I had my pitas handled by 3 different staff within 5 minutes. I did not receive free cookie by the time the pitas were in the bag because the cashier had not communicated it and I felt pressured not to correct them for a free cookie because of the amount of people behind me and the struggle they seemed to be having to keep up. When I got home I realized 2 pitas were on white and only one on wheat. :( I really disliked paying first for panicked service. If paying first is a corporate decision it needs to be changed. If it is a managerial decision it is easily changed, just move the cash register to the other end of the counter. I love Pita Pit but next time I may just order online to avoid the confusion. read more

I got really excited about a place right down the street with healthier food options, but my felafel pita was the saltiest "healthy" food I've ever had. I didn't even finish my pita. I'm glad they don't drown it in sauce, but there was hardly any tzatziki so it was also very dry. The staff was very helpful and friendly, though, and my boyfriend enjoyed his gyro pita. We went here for lunch today and boy was that a great idea. It was basically like the Chipotle concept but with Pita bread! Pick your protein, veggies and sauce and they wrap it up like a burrito. The ingredients were fresh and tasty and the staff was super friendly! The guy that was at the grill was easy on the eyes so it made my dining experience even better. I have ate here about 3 times so far and it really is great. They have delivery, good food, plus online ordering. Delivery is a little slow, but not horribly so. However, I ordered from there today and I didn't get any sauce on my wrap. One of my favorite parts of their pitas is the sauce. It was still good, just a little sad. Finally was able to give this place a try after months or hearing about this "subway" style place. Basically just like subway but with a pita bread. I went and order the chicken soulvaki or whatever its call. Throw the chicken on the grill warm it up as the chicken is precook. Throw the sauce and cheese on top. Slap it on the pita bread. Add my toppings i like. They stuff and wrap it up like a burrito with a wrapper and hand it to you if you are eating there. No tray. I believe it was $8.75. It was okay. Felt like i was eating a burrito. The plus would be the freshness of the food. This place was busy right after i sat down and had my meal. Overall give this place a shot. As for me I think I will pass. All the hype got me dissapointed. read more

I love this place! My friend convinced me to try it.... and then I came back almost every day for a week! They have THE friendliest staff I have ever seen and weren't grumpy at ALL the time I came in at 9:57pm. When you get your pita they make it right in front of you so if you don't see enough sauce (*ahem* previous reviewer) just ask them to add more and they will. Every last one of them is enthusiastic, friendly, polite, and dedicated to making you a fantastic lunch. If you give them a tip, they nearly always give you a card for a free drink or cookie next time you come in. And they really want you to have the best lunch possible--today, I watched as one worker mixed up a special hot sauce concoction when his customer said that neither the sriracha nor the chipotle was really hot enough for his taste!
