    Chicken shawarma
    Emily K.

I am constantly craving Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, so shawarma on a Sunday night was my pick! I went and placed my order at the counter and was told it would be 15-20 minutes but it ended up only being around 10 - great service. I tried the chicken shawarma wrap and it was great! Juicy chicken, veggies, and plenty of garlic sauce. I also ordered a side of fries which are my favorite kind that most Greek places have - super crispy, with the little batter bits! There is minimal seating inside so it seems like most customers do takeout. Everything traveled well and was really fresh!

There are a few Mediterranean/middle eastern places around, but Pita Pita is known to be nice and quick. Also, the fries are outstanding. So it's a good thing they opened in next-door Bloomingdale! Ordering to-go is generally a no-no when it comes to the fries, but no one was coming with me, and there's only 4 tables at the very, very tiny restaurant. I grabbed a shrimp plate, which was really good, although for $18 I'd really hoped for more shrimp. The seasoning and char mixed together quite nicely. Arabian salad was wonderfully fresh, and the tahini was smooth, creamy, lively, and just plain good. I'm not sure I'd get it again... but seeing as the other plates are in the $14 range... maybe? Everyone else got something with fries, and I sneaked a few. Even after a car ride they were crispy and well-seasoned. They're definitely battered, and possibly fried twice. I think I'll get some of those next time. If anything the only other knock I have on them is the menu, whose categories all sound the same, making it hard to find what I actually want (as someone who hasn't eaten in one in many years). Considering ordering online? Anyway, still a lunch option we'll go back to during the week.

Tried this place with hubby. It was ok. Pricing is a little high for what it is. I ordered the meat bowl - meat was kind of tough, and not enough, and the rice seemed lacking. Husband ordered the chicken kufta which was ok but nothing to rave about. Restaurant was clean and modern and service was attentive. We waited about 10 minutes or so for our order. Probably won't be back.

    Two different yummy combinations plates.

Pita Pita is a great addition to the Bloomingdale area. It's a family owned restaurant with delicious Mediterranean food. It's primarily a takeout location but they do have a few tables and chairs. I highly recommend everyone to check it out. If you love garlic than you must get the garlic spread. The combo platter is a nice way to try a variety of food on one plate. I can't wait to go back again.

Hands down, this is the best food in the court!…read more At this point I try to come here every time I'm at Woodfield. My favorite is the Steak Shawarma, with the spicy green sauce. Definitely a must to get the fries with all the seasoning. The best part of the shawarma is that there's no need to pick your toppings and feel like there's too many options. It's already set for you and they make it fresh. The only small negative is that last time i was here, one of the people working was a little hard to understand. I wasn't annoyed or anything, it just took a little while to get the order down. Definitely not a dealbreaker and well worth the added time! Don't take my word for it, try it now!

The line was pretty long which gave me an indication that it was popular/good. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered their Falafel bowl, with rice and a bunch of their available options. You are allowed to select 4 and then every topping after that is $1 per topping. This seems a bit extreme as they are NOT generous when adding your selected ingredients. I was expecting a much larger portion, but understand they are a business and have to manage their margins. The food itself was fine. The falafel were just ok, and had been sitting in a container, lacking the crispiness and freshness I am used to normally. For the extra options, everything tasted fine, I just felt skimped on the portions I was given. The highlight for me was the hot sauce that they offer. It was extremely flavorful and had a nice level of heat. I would buy that by the bottle if It was available. I think Falafill is worth a try, but you just have to manage your expectations. They do not come close to the traditional mediterranean restaurants I am used to visiting, but for mall food it's pretty good.

I just wanted (somewhat) healthy take-out with decent flavor, that I could order ahead. I ordered a build-your-own chicken shawarma plate, with hummus and couscous. As noted in the reviews here, they give you very little chicken, so I made sure to order double chicken. It was really good. Flavorful fresh chicken, lightly seasoned couscous. The hummus didn't have much flavor but otherwise everything was yummy. Also ordered the two-pack side of falafel. Looked burnt but actually just right, tons of flavor. Everything was ready right when it was promised. Easy pickup. Tons of parking. Strong review from me but I acknowledge that I don't have the burden of remembering them from the days when they were truly special.

They were starting to go down just before Covid.. and then Covid just about killed them. I thought they may never open again.. so I was glad when they did.. and then I was disappointed. Those strangely sticky tables were still there but the fresh food was gone. Used to be fresh soft pitas everyday.. it was a source of pride for the restaurants. Also, they would slice the meat continuously so that it wasn't sitting around (cool automatic slicing cut it directly from the spit) Now it's a mediocre middle eastern Chipotle styled place serving warmed over food. Such a disappointment. Over 100 visits to Naf Naf and suddenly... I'm done. Been enjoying trying other places, but I miss the old Naf Naf.. the good..no.. the great one.

As typical for a counter serve, this facility is no thrills but it's kept very clean and the service is straightforward and great. We've tried both the Chicken Kabob Plate and the Kifta Kabob Plate and both were fantastic. They truly make the meat here the PERFECT tenderness - probably the softest and juiciest chicken I've had in the city!!! This place is a local gem: simple, quick, casual, but packed with flavor. The falafel is crispy crunchy and herby served with two sauces (the red is bright and spicy - my fav), and you can see that juicy shawarma rotating in the window as you pass. Though unassuming on the outside, this place serves yummy Lebanese food at high ROI. Of the two shawarma plates I tried, I fancy the beef, but I tend to lean beef. The chicken was clean and flavorful. The hummus is creamy and delicious and the plates are served with a balsamic fresh salad on the side. The guys behind the counter are working hard and if you're picking food up to-go, you're likely in and out of line with hot fresh food in under 10 minutes. Definitely a spot to try if you've never had shawarma or Falaffel, or need a quick bite while on your lunch break. Also wouldn't be a bad late night snacky
