Meat is dry as hell. Shawarma is not shawarma but meat cut up small. Chicken is better than the beef but not great it's small inside and the table was dirty and chair was sticky and dirty. Baklava and pita was the worst I've had. Only good part was the flavor of the bowl. Falafel was decent too read more

I stopped in here Monday to pick up take out for lunch. Always starting off with the good. The restaurant was so pretty and uniquely designed. It was kind of small but had three tables for dining in. The food was AMAZING! I got the mixed chicken plate. I could taste the charbroil grilled flavor. It was so robust. The lightly drenched lemon herb dressing over the salad was also tasty. I didn't care for the white sauce. It taste like a peanut butter smoothie. Finally to the service. It wasn't bad but I was made to feel a little uneasy and unwelcome. It felt like the cashier was "forcing" himself to be pleasant. I felt a little rushed to place my order. When I asked about certain menu items, he pointed to pictures rather than giving an explanation. Besides that, I wished the combos came with a drink. It was a bit pricey. read more

This place is hit or miss. Very small so best for take out. Food is usually pretty good but sometimes they have off days. The pitas suck.

UPDATE #3, less than 72hrs later I was contacted by "Jay" who I assume is the owner or manager of this location, he presented me with a generous gifted and an apology for my experience. I do appreciate the effort and accountability and I hope this drill severe as a teachable moment for the crew here to do a better job going forward to ensure this type of thing NEVER happens again. I am constantly craving Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, so shawarma on a Sunday night was my pick! I went and placed my order at the counter and was told it would be 15-20 minutes but it ended up only being around 10 - great service. I tried the chicken shawarma wrap and it was great! Juicy chicken, veggies, and plenty of garlic sauce. I also ordered a side of fries which are my favorite kind that most Greek places have - super crispy, with the little batter bits! There are a few Mediterranean/middle eastern places around, but Pita Pita is known to be nice and quick. Also, the fries are outstanding. So it's a good thing they opened in next-door Bloomingdale! Ordering to-go is generally a no-no when it comes to the fries, but no one was coming with me, and there's only 4 tables at the very, very tiny restaurant. I grabbed a shrimp plate, which was really good, although for $18 I'd really hoped for more shrimp. The seasoning and char mixed together quite nicely. Arabian salad was wonderfully fresh, and the tahini was smooth, creamy, lively, and just plain good. I'm not sure I'd get it again... but seeing as the other plates are in the $14 range... maybe? Everyone else got something with fries, and I sneaked a few. Even after a car ride they were crispy and well-seasoned. They're definitely battered, and possibly fried twice. I think I'll get some of those next time. If anything the only other knock I have on them is the menu, whose categories all sound the same, making it hard to find what I actually want (as someone who hasn't eaten in one in many years). Tried this place with hubby. It was ok. Pricing is a little high for what it is. I ordered the meat bowl - meat was kind of tough, and not enough, and the rice seemed lacking. Husband ordered the chicken kufta which was ok but nothing to rave about. Restaurant was clean and modern and service was attentive. We waited about 10 minutes or so for our order. Finally! Tabouleh salad nearby when I want it. Got their beef shawarma wrap along with it and food is flavorful though the meat was a little dry. Nothing that a drizzle of tahini sauce cannot correct. Will try their other items on my next run of meditterean food. read more

The good part was the staff and decor. The worker at the front was super nice and welcoming. I love pita and have had serval places including the chains. I was excited for this spot to be in our area and ended up disappointed. I waited 15 mins for a pita sandwich, the garlic sauce is so good but my chicken was extremely dry and not enough of it. My pita plus fries was $15 and just not worth it because the pita was small and not a lot of meat. I plan on trying again and willing to review if my 2nd experience improves. read more

First off, I loved Pita Pita. The food was (in my opinion,) very very good, up until the last few times we ordered and this last time, its was so spicy, I couldn't eat it. Why? Who puts chili flakes in falafal? I took a bit and almost choked from it hitting the back of my throat. Again, why? Not everyone can eat spicy or "hot" food, and to have that much in one ball is crazy. That's what dipping sauces are for! So, we have to find another Med food place, and that's unfortunate. Unless they stop making things too complicated, I'm off to find another place. And I really hope they see this and change this practice. Like salt, you can't take out salt, but you can add it, so let the people add with the red and green type sauces and leave us sensitive pallet people alone. read more

Pita Pita is a great addition to the Bloomingdale area. It's a family owned restaurant with delicious Mediterranean food. It's primarily a takeout location but they do have a few tables and chairs. I highly recommend everyone to check it out. If you love garlic than you must get the garlic spread. The combo platter is a nice way to try a variety of food on one plate.
