Stopped by for a quick and healthy lunch, Pita Pita was a great choice. My brother and I both opted for the Mixed Chicken Grill lunch special. It consists of Chicken Shawarma, 2 pieces of Chicken Tawook and a Chicken Kefka. A salad, Pita and rice were the side dishes. All the Chicken entrees were delicious, with my favorite being the Chicken Kefka Kaboob. The food came out quickly and piping hot. I ordered from here recently for the first time and honestly wasn't impressed. For my meal, I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl ($13.00), and to my surprise it was on a B1G1 free special. Therefore, I got two bowls with chicken shawarma, muthawama, rice, salad, and hot sauce. Sadly, despite all the seasoning on the chicken, it was pretty tasteless. It was well-cooked and a good texture but didn't taste like much. The muthawama didn't taste like garlic whatsoever even though it is supposed to be a garlic sauce, and the lemon flavor took over the entire bowl. I wish I got hummus instead, but honestly, I don't even know if that would have saved the bowls. The rice was okay, but pretty mushy and had a bland flavor, as well. Even more disappointing is that in the middle of eating the first bowl, I dumped the tahini sauce inside and almost threw up after trying it. It ruined the entire rest of my bowl because it tasted old and disgusting. Seriously, I've never had tahini taste that bad in my life. Because of this, I threw out the rest of my bowl because I literally couldn't eat it. I ended up throwing out more than half of both bowls because it just wasn't very good. Who knew I'd actually be regretful that it was B1G1 free since it was a total waste of food. Overall, I wouldn't order from here again. Muthawarma was good - other than that, I can tell you as a former chef that the stuffed grape leaves come from an industrial processed can, the hummus is not fresh and inedible and the pita break is warmed up from frozen. Came in for their lunch special that was really good! I got the mixed meat lunch special: 5 different kinds of meat and flavors, salad, rice and two pieces of pita bread for $12 is a steal! Each meat item had its own flavor and taste. It's a fast casual place that's very clean and not super loud unless you're coming during the peak hour of lunch. All the meat is Halal! Absolutely Wonderful, let me just start by saying Muhammed is the kindest cashier/server I've ever encountered. He's a very friendly, down to earth kind of man who actually cares about the customers. I came here on a Friday night, and it wasn't too busy. Which is kind of a bummer, since this place is amazing and deserves more customers. The food came out in less than 10 minutes and was fresh and hot, and let me tell you, everything they sell here is genuinely delicious. I tried the meat, the chicken, the rice, the salad, the pitas, the falafels. And they were all a 10/10. After we finished eating, Muhammed brought us out some hot tea with some sweets as dessert, definitely one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. First of all let me start off by saying I love this place!! The staff here is so personable, sweet, and are willing to answer and help you with anything. When I came in, no one was in here. I saw a lot of pick-up orders but it was only me who was sitting eating inside. I got the chicken kufta kebab but subbed the rice for hummus, and then got 3 falafels on the side. The falafel here SMACKS... they are delicious. I loved the Arabic salad so much, too, and all the sauces provided. I literally licked my plate clean. Next time, I want to try their chicken shawarma, chicken tawook, and their fattoush salad! I think my total was around $20 - it's not the cheapest place, but it's worth the money because the food is so yummy and of high quality. We came here for lunch on a Tuesday and boy was it packed!! We had purchased one of those gift certificates that they advertise, but they were incredibly short staffed, so there was no cashier - just the electronic ordering screens. No big deal, we'll just have to use it another time (but I would hold off on buying that if you're just planning on coming once... b/c there's a chance you won't be able to use it). The food was SO good!! My parents have been here before but it was my first time. I had the falafel bowl and while I've had bigger portions for the cost at other places, honestly it was the perfect portion (I stuffed myself because of how good it was, otherwise I could have probably had leftovers ;D ). I love that they have squeeze bottles of the tahini and red sauces so you can just grab them and take them to your table (I did notice some tables without, so I would suggest just having enough for every table that's there). The falafel plate is also such a good deal! It came with a salad, baba ganoush, tabouli salad, grape leaves, falafel, AND pita! Overall, great food. I love Pita Pita Mediteranean Grill. I've eaten at the Palatine location, Lombard and now the Rolling Ghetto location. PPMG always has great quality food at a reasonable price. This deal was made even better by finding a Groupon Deal $20 for $10. All told lunch for 2 cost $16 ($10 Groupon + $6 plus change) w/leftovers to take home. PPM has 5 different locations in the Chicagoland area. I have eaten at 3 of the 5 and I have found the same great quality food at reasonable prices. I love the food @ Pita Pita Mediteranean. I hate to besmirch other chain Mediteranean restaurants but the quality of food produced @ PPMG far exceeds some other places w/similar names My wife ordered the chicken platter & I ordered the combination meat platter. Their food is seasoned so good the chicken in the platter was cooked to perfection, nice tender & moist w/awesome seasoning. Thank goodness they built one in Rolling Meadows. I did a take out order. I ordered the mixed meat plate and the chicken tawouk. I also ordered the Jerusalem Salad. Everything was spiced perfectly. There was enough food in one entree to split with two people. The meat was cooked perfectly and there wasn't a lack of taste at all. The chicken was juicy and the salad had a great flavor, as they also provide a fatoush salad with the meals. This is by far the best dressing for fatoush that I have ever eaten. We were looking for a dine in Mediterranean restaurant near wood field mall and this one popped up on Google. I remember when I used to work in Rolling Meadows several years back and stumbling upon this place at that time and forgotten about it. We decided to come in and try it out, good call on our part. We ordered two entrees, one vegetarian and the other chicken shawarma. I asked to substitute rice with baba and tabuleh salad. This was a dine-in and the order arrived quickly. Upon just looking at the chicken shawarma, a feeling of disappointment sank in as it looked like a mild/western version of shawarma, so mild that I think it was meant for babies. I had to quickly get up and ask the staff for hot sauce so I could finish my meal. The service was top notch but I sincerely hope that they revise their recipe for shawarma. The veggie plate was good, no complains there. Overall, it was a good experience for us but we probably won't come back again. You can taste the quality, especially in the rice and the chicken. The yellow rice was moist and tasty. Most Mediterranean rice is dry for me not this one. I had the meat combo which came with salad and a generous wedge of tomato which I appreciate. The beef and beef kofta were fine. The standouts are the chicken, really juicy and especially the chicken kofta which was exceptionaly savory. It is a little pricey but you can taste the difference. Found this close by and based on the reviewer I've decided to place my bets. It's a good looking well maintained restaurant(inside), I've ordered a take out for Mixed Meat Entree. Service was good and the wait isn't that bad either. The biggest disappointment is the food. Shawarma was dry and had very less taste to it, as matter of fact none of the meat options lived up to the mark except for chicken Shawarma(I'd give a 3 for it). Pita was okay though given how the rest of the food tasted. The quantity is good for the price you are paying but in short - not worth it. This place is newish (about 11 months old) and provides for a pretty good value here on their mixed meat entree for $12.50, which is what I ordered. The entree which contained 4 various meats, rice, pita bread, and salad was generous, hot, filling, and satisfying. Wife had their chicken tawook (i.e., grilled chicken) wrap and it was basic for $8. It was actually empty when we came in at 5:45pm on a Thursday, but that may be early given all the worker bees in the area who may have to commute home first, and folks did start showing up at 6:15pm or so.
