Yesterday around 3pm, as I was in the area, saw this Falafel Palace and decided to pull into their big parking lot which is shared with other businesses. Their restrooms were also very clean. Walked in and was greeted by a very friendly employee. He was pleasant and gave me a rundown of their menu. They have a vast menu from bowls, to plates, to pita wraps, salads, many different types of sauces, vegan and gluten free options too. Just to name a few. Desserts, such as Baklava and variety of cookies. I did end up getting one Baklava and it was moist, fresh and delicious. Prices are super affordable for their portions. 10/10! I went with beef and chicken skewers, and asked them to put my hummus on the side and not to overcook the meat. I like my beef to be medium-rare to medium. Chicken skewer also had a lot of flavors to it. There were very well prepared and seasoned to perfection. I also got their Greek salad with lots of healthy vegetables. Stayed with water. They have many different types of juices: bottled, & fountain drinks. They even checked on me once, considering the fact that you place your order at the counter, and they will bring out your food to you. Food was very delicious & fresh, along with service and the ambiance in their outdoor seating and inside was SPOTLESS CLEAN with some great music playing overhead. Thank you Falafel Palace, management and employees. Always stay true to yourself and consistency is the number one key. If and when I am in the area again, I will definitely stop by!

So I ordered 3 Gyro meals. Lamb, chicken, and beef with the combo meal fries and drink. For the 3 sandwiches with each of them having a side of small fries and small drink I paid $71.29 for the entire order which is crazy in itself but the real crime was the food here, I am surprised how this place is been running business this whole time. First thing you do when you sit in a car? Take a few bites of the fries, and let me tell you that shit got stuck in my throat from how dry and nasty it was absolutely no SALT on any of the sandwiches and or fries... We all know salt makes everything more delicious and we had none of it. Me and 2 of my guests all had complaints on how unsalted and bland the food was. Also with a gyro usually you need a garlic sauce aka white sauce for my New Yorkers, they tried to charge me $5.90 for a SMALL plastic side of garlic sauce for my $20 sandwich. Save your money head over to Pita Pocket or any other gyro spots cuz this ain't it. It's really not hard to get a gyro down. Trader Joes also has a box of gyro meat you can buy make at home and I did once and it was WAYYYY better then this place lol. This place gets 0 stars for charging customers $20+ for a freaking combo meal that doesn't even include a garlic sauce.

I've been going to Pita Pockets in Northridge a few times a year over the past few years, hoping things might improve, but unfortunately, it's time to call it quits. I won't be returning, and here's why. First and foremost, the service here is shockingly rude. Every time I've visited, I've been met with unwelcoming attitudes and an almost complete disregard for customer service. Whether it's impatience at the counter, dismissive responses to questions, or an air of indifference when pointing out issues, the staff consistently fails to make diners feel valued. A casual vibe is fine, but this level of rudeness is completely unacceptable. As for the food, it's incredibly disappointing. I've tried to give the menu a fair shot over the years, but it always underwhelms. The pita is often dry, the fillings lack flavor, and the portion sizes are downright stingy. On my last visit, I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap, and not only was the chicken dry and poorly seasoned, but the amount of meat and toppings was so small that I felt like I was eating mostly bread. For the high prices they charge, I expected much better. The side dishes also seem like an afterthought--bland, uninspired, and sometimes even stale. The interior doesn't do the place any favors, either. While I understand not every restaurant can have a modern aesthetic, Pita Pockets feels both dated and neglected. The seating is uncomfortable, the decor is worn out, and the cleanliness is questionable at best. On my last visit, the tables were sticky, and the floors didn't look like they had been cleaned in a while. It's hard to enjoy a meal in an environment that feels this uninviting. After giving Pita Pockets so many chances over the years, I've finally given up. The rude service, disappointing food, small portions, high prices, and outdated, unclean interior have all added up to a thoroughly frustrating experience. Northridge has plenty of other spots offering great Mediterranean food with better service and cleaner, more welcoming spaces. If you're considering this place, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I really like the shawarma it's a really good shawarma, so first most of the time the shawarma is fresh(not from yesterday) and the salads are pretty good. what is best about this place is that the laffa is like a bread they make it there and is really fresh and hot it bring allot of flavor to the shawarma. I like to eat my shawarma with an extra meat so for $2.00 more he add much more meat, and the owner and the kids are there all the time and they are very friendly and allot of time I get free drinks, and the other employees look like a good guys too , hard working people. nothing bed I can say , but in Israel the shawarma are much better. but for America its pretty good. the lamb laffa and the falafel its pretty good too, not as the shawarma , if you are not so hungry you can take the pita too, its smaller then the laffa. but they don't make the pita there. so the laffa test better. read more

I signed up for Yelp to personally write a review of how deliciously awesome Pita Pocket is! I live in Santa Barbara and we drive down to Pita Pocket to personally indulge ourselves in their Scwarma lamb/chicken laffa!! I wish we could call it the "Sho Laffa" because we take all our friends and family their and we all order the Laffa specifically created like this: Fries, all the fillings except no Romain lettuce. that takes up to much room. Add umba, hummus, tabolie, Israeli salad, a little bit of the spicy sauce,... my mouth is watering while I sit in my office right now in santa barbara contemplating how i can get down there. Also one laffa can feed to people but i like to have a whole one myself for leftovers =). read more

My new favorite spot in Northrdge....and maybe even in LA. A good friend of mine introduced me to this place today and the first thought that came to my mind after my first bite was "oy my lord, I cannot wait to get home to yelp about this place." I ordered the chicken shawarma in a lafa and my taste buds were having orgasms. Every bite was delicious. They put some fries in my lafa that added such a delicious crunch and another level of flavor. The place is decorated with pictures of Haifa and Jerusalem which are two gorgeous cities, and the service is good. It can't really be bad because they just your order and then call you when its ready haha read more

I've gone here a bunch of times now ever since I started working in Northridge. They have Middle Easter and Mediterranean foods that are high quality and real delicious. the staff is family oriented and very friendly. The service is fast and perfect for a one hour company lunch break. The last time we went with a group of 9, we were in and out within the hour. I like it for big groups because each person pays as you order so you don't have to split any checks, and the seating arrangement is good because it can accommodate a large group. This place is the real deal! If you're looking for authentic Middle Eastern food, this is exactly what it should taste like. The flavors are rich and balanced, using the right Middle Eastern spices -- bold, aromatic, and full of depth. We had the beef shawarma and falafel, and both were absolutely delicious. The pita is also the real deal -- thick, fresh, and perfect for scooping up every bite. You can truly taste the quality in every dish. The service is warm and friendly, and the owner is an incredibly kind person who clearly takes pride in his amazing food. Highly recommend this spot. Can't wait to come back! read more

Pita pockets is the best place to get a sandwich! The best part about this place is that they make their own pita on site in a little clay oven!!! The wraps are so fresh and the chicken was just so tender, flavorful and juicy!!! If you're not familiar with the area, you might just miss it. It's located kinda by CSUN in the Von's parking lot, right next to the Sushi spot. It's a little hidden, so you might miss it if you drive too fast. haha Prices are pretty reasonable, since the size of the wrap is huge! You should definitely check this place out if you have a chance to. read more

Growing up in Northridge, this was a staple for me. It was always good, fresh, and the portions are great. For what you pay for, you get a ton of food and its DELICIOUS.
