We happen upon this place in Andover, because we were going to the big picture framing shop right by it. It looked good, it smelled good, and they were plenty of people inside. When I checked yelp, it had really good reviews too, so it was worth the try. I was really impressed with the ordering experience. They knew what they were doing. And if this obviously wasn't their first place. Although the chicken Shawarma was hanging and could be cut at any time dripping with juices, they actually had a container full already cut chicken Shawarma. Looks really, really juicy fresh and yummy. So we would pass on Shwarma next time. Too bad. For the dinners, two shows chicken Shawarma one chose halloumi salad, and one chose falafel plate.

For the sides, we tried the hummus, vermicelli, rice, regular potatoes, spicy potatoes, Fattoush salad, and all looked really good. The atmosphere looks to be the type that I wouldn't really want to sit and have a romantic dinner...

We drove a half hour to get home, so the halloumi was no longer warm, but that's expected. The salad under the halloumi, was really good. Very fresh, a bit different with the mandarin oranges, raisins, and slivered, almonds, and it all went well together.The dressing that comes with it, is the fig, balsamic vinaigrette, and that tasted just like a bottled fig balsamic glaze. It's the sticky very strong taste, and it was perfect on the salad and the cheese. Tabouli was great taste and yummy. So fresh. Disappointed in the pita, wish they were cooked in house. Cookies for dessert were pretty amazing. Homemade in house and they tasted it, and though they were kind of pricey, we would probably get them again. We really liked this place. 4 stars because of the dry shwarma.

While I'm still heartbroken over the loss of the North Andover Howling Wolf location, Pita Thyme is excellent and I'm glad they're here. To my knowledge there aren't any other restaurants like this in the area. The menu is similar to those of other Mediterranean restaurants in Boston (where the original Pita Thyme is, although their website says that location is hibernating for the winter). Rollups, plates, and salads with chicken and beef shawarma and falafels. There's a lot of options for sides as well.

For my first order I had the chicken shawarma plate with spicy potatoes, hummus, and fattoush salad and added falafel. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I've been to Mediterranean restaurants that skimped on the seasoning but Pita...

Thyme makes sure everything is well-seasoned. The portions were good for the price. I also had a triple chocolate chip cookie which was yummy. They have a few different flavors so I want to try the other ones and the baklava too. Online ordering was easy and I got an email confirmation when my order was ready for pickup, which ended up being earlier than the estimated time when I ordered. I will definitely be back soon.

...once a week and the food is always hot, fresh and on time My wife loves the Salmon on fridays, I'm a big fan of their falafel plates and their shawarma wraps are a flavor bomb. For garlic lovers... get some extra toum on the side

I wanted to love this place because the people who work their are really nice and the restaurant is exactly what this area needed. But... It's a Middle Eastern restaurant... no one should have to ask for pita when ordering a side of hummus. That should be a given! And when I asked for pita (because I wasn't planning on dipping my fingers in the hummus) a half of one rolled up is certainly not the answer. Also, please don't forget the tahini when someone orders tahini. The chicken shawarma plate was dry and flavorless without. Overall, very underwhelming food. Too bad. I guess I'll have to stick with Falafel Corner in Harvard Square and Rami's in Coolidge Corner for the good stuff. read more

Delicious!! I love the chicken shawarma roll up, the flavors are great and it has a great texture. The falafel roll up is also great and the pita chips are a personal favorite as well. I also recommend the hummus and spicy potatoes. I am not a spice person myself, and the potatoes are definitely spicy but I push through the spice for this one because the potatoes are just so good! The baklava is also good and is a nice little serving. The food is always ready for pickup on time, if not earlier. I love pita thyme, so happy it's come to North Andover! read more

Such a great experience. Went in for lunch with my husband and two young girls. The food was incredible (we got the chicken Shawarma plate and avocado quinoa salad, both great!!) and the staff was just so incredibly warm, friendly, and made the entire experience such a delight. Already craving more of the chicken Shawarma and rice. We absolutely will be back and make this a staple for our family read more

Fish Friday and $17 dollar salad for this size piece of salmon(3.6 oz)..... when I called they said that there is no way and he will never agree with me that their portion is under 6-7 ounces. Basically I'm lying.. He said they weigh them all out to 7 ounces.... I don't think he realized I have a food scale that I use daily..... Ordered the falafel rollup and all of the salad ingredients inside the sandwich were fresh and tasty. Nice going Pita Thyme! But listen: There's only one proper way to serve falafel - HOT from the fryer, CRISP on the outside, MOIST on the inside. The falafel in my rollup me was room temperature, no crispiness whatever on the outside and, somehow, both dry and mushy on the inside. I won't be returning. read more

My new favorite spot! I can see why this place is 5 stars. I got the falafel wrap and it was delicious! Good size and packed with fresh crisp veggies. Nice warm falafel and some garlic aioli. I'm so glad Pita Thyme Cafe came to N. Andover! I absolutely LOVE the food from there. It's as authentic as it gets, if you enjoy Lebanese food you won't regret trying their Mediterranean cuisine. The Kefta Kebab plate is excellent and it has really good flavors, most importantly everything I have tried from there so far is made from fresh ingredients and taste delicious. The Falafel is one of the best I had in awhile, soft and tasty from the inside with a nice crispy finish on the outside. The Beef Shawarma rollup melts in your mouth, the meat is sliced thin and very tender the way an authentic Shawarma sandwich should be! I highly recommend trying the food from Pita Thyme, I order online through their Square site and it's super easy and quick. read more

Positives: fresh tasting food, good falafel. Negatives: my falafel wrap was dry as all heck. The pita lacks moisture completely and there was not even close to enough tahini inside (or given on the side). Hummus was not creamy at all. Fattoush didn't have that luxurious, silky dressing and needed more lemon flavor. read more

Super fresh food. Home cooked quality. We make it a tradition to stop by once a week. The baba ganush is some of the best I've had. Beef shawarma with aioli is also excellent. It's usually not busy which is surprising given how good it is. read more

Awesome!! A welcome compliment to local middleastern food. Healthy fast ordered double protein without double cost. Was in and out in five minutes and they made the food while I watched. The side of hummus was almost double what I get in market for a buck more. I'll be back!!!! read more

Stopped in for the first time tonight. It's clear that word has gotten out about this place and yet the service was excellent and very efficient. I had a beef sharwarma roll up which had amazing flavors. The Middle East style pickles and tahini sauce in it provided a wonderful complement. My wife is a vegetarian and she says the tabouli, babaganoush and lentil soup were among the best she has had. We made a bag of their pita chips disappear in nearly an instant. With so many good choices that I want to try, we will definitely be going back. read more

I am so happy they opened this North Andover location. The food, people and overall experience was just as good as I remember from their Boston location. Between my family members we had sandwiches, plates, salads and sides and everything was delicious! I got so excited when I found this place with 5 stars reviews that I order 2 CHICKEN KEBAB PLATES. I drive back home and got really disappointed as soon as I open my plate container. I have gotten food from here a few times now. If you like Aceituna falafel rolls you will also like this place! Very delicious and big portions, I can never finish the entire roll! I love that they offer spicy potatoes. They have excellent customer service as well. Online ordering is very easy & I've never been unhappy with my order. Where do I begin!! this establishment always exceeds my expectations. The food is simply to die for (shawarma, falafel, homemade chips, tabbouleh and hummus, etc etc etc) and the service is incredibly good. Markouk flatbreads are grilled daily, thin, smooth, and chewy, much better than pita or lavash in my first impression. Chicken Kabob Wrap: Their signature dish. The chicken breast was still juicy. The owner is very familiar with the whale watching boat schedule and will tell you if you have time to eat before boarding. It has a 4.9 rating on Google Maps, but the food isn't nearly as good as it seems; after all, it's just a wrap, and it probably benefits from the whale watching reputation.

They are currently remodeling the dining area so I can't comment on the ambience, but for what it's worth I like the quaint look of the place from the outside and the ease of ordering from the window. I'm a stickler when it comes to Lebanese food, but I'm so happy to finally find a Lebanese restaurant so close to me that it has officially become my go-to place for Lebanese food from here on out! So I had a second lunch (two slices from a whole pie that I'll finish another day). -- Pepperoni Pizza: I've come to expect high-quality and that's what I got. Lightly charred crust with a fairly firm base, neither done to an extreme. Unexpected was a bit of sourness to the cheese, which was actually a plus, adding complexity. Robust tomato sauce is there in greater supply than most, and I like that. Pepperoni isn't as thick as Tree House, but it's noticeably thicker than most, and much more flavorful. If there's a weakness to this pizza, it's that the crust is more of a vessel (though a well-cooked one) than flavor provider, but it delivers structure. There's more than enough flavor everywhere else. -- Chocolate Chip Cookie: I always covet them but today I took the plunge. I expected good, but not necessarily great beyond pizza cookie standards. It's fairly thin, very bendy, and very moist, with so much chocolate that I feared it would detract from the dough. Not the case: despite a slight resemblance to supermarket bakery cookies, this dough emphasized butter, not sugar. And a fabulous butter at that (probably brown butter), bringing a darker flavor with nutty hints of caramel. Salt crystals on top are cliché nowadays, but restraint ensured they'd enhance, not distract. The flavor got better with every bite. Excellent cookie that would put many full fledged bakeries to shame. Back to the pizza: If you're not into the tomato, the char, or the lack of seating (2 booths), this place might not be for you. But I'm all for the first two and don't mind gambling on seating, because tailgating is always a worthy last resort for pizza this good.

The garlic bread crust seemed like it was just garlic powder seasoning so it doesn't add much flavor. However I appreciate that they are generous with the toppings and aside from the crust, everything else was good. The location is a pain to get in and out of because the parking lot is small and it's located on a busy spot on 114 next to Stop and Shop.

I want to start by saying that the food at Pita Thyme is excellent. I've enjoyed their dishes in the past, and they usually get the flavors just right. However, my recent experience was disappointing. I ordered two beef shawarma plates and a side of falafel, but what I received was missing the beef entirely and had no falafel. Instead, my plates were filled with quinoa and sides, which was not what I was looking forward to. When I called the restaurant, they did refund me, which I appreciate, but they couldn't offer a replacement or any other solution. So, while the food quality is great, the service and accuracy need some improvement. If everything lines up, you're in for a delicious meal, but if not, you might end up with a quinoa surprise! read more
