We went to Brix Grill about a week ago, and this place never disappoints! We sat at the bar for drinks, apps, and dinner, and Evelyn was our bartender. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced without ever rushing us. The drinks were well-crafted and delicious. We loved the crab cakes and wings as appetizers -- the crab cakes were so generous they could easily be a full meal. For dinner, we both had the Brix Burger, cooked perfectly with a great char and tons of flavor. I love the cozy vibe while still being able to watch the game. Even when it gets busy, the service stays excellent. The whole staff is friendly and attentive. We can't recommend Brix Grill enough -- and if you go, ask for Evelyn! read more

Reasonably okay lunch spot but dinner wasn't great. I will give them credit, they are trying... but the cocktails with a burnt piece of rosemary for a "smoked" flavor were absolutely terrible (first time in my life I didnt finish a cocktail). It was like drinking liquid used to extinguish a burning christmas tree. (also this was paired with a fruity pink drink....not really a great combo) Dinner was overall fine but nothing really to right home about, crab cakes were great but the fried calamari had zero salt on it and was a bit chewy. The chicken florentine wasn't bad but it was not a thinly pounded or sliced piece of chicken that was pan fried....it was a whole breaded chicken breast that was deep fried. We were in the area and looking for something delicious, and Brix did not disappoint. It's a great little restaurant attached to a pizza joint attached to an adorable grocery store. We started with a couple of drinks, I had a spicy blackberry margarita that was absolutely perfect. Then we shared a delicious Cobb salad and I moved onto a Cuban and he had The Bando. Both sandwiches were really good and the fries were outstanding, hot and crispy. Our server was fantastic and personable. Food was absolutely delicious, and we will definitely be back. read more

My mom has been hearing about this place for awhile so we tried it the other night. The restaurant is clean and has a lot of seating and we only interacted with our waitress and she was friendly. I got the Brix burger with fries which was cooked well. My mom got the steak frites. The steak was cooked a little too rare on one side but she said the flavor wasn't bad. I visited Brix Grille after a friend who is local to the area highly recommended it; based on the food and atmosphere, I can certainly see why it received such a strong recommendation. We sat at the bar for dinner and ordered the Pistachio Crusted Haddock and the Roasted Tomato Rigatoni. Both dishes were outstanding. The haddock was perfectly cooked with a delicious pistachio crust, and the rigatoni was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The quality of the food was excellent and easily exceeded my expectations. We even received a quick visit from the Chef to ensure we enjoyed our meal, it made the experience feel a little more personal and we definitely appreciated it. The atmosphere was also a highlight. The restaurant was inviting, comfortable, and had a great overall vibe. From watching other interactions throughout the restaurant, customers seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. Unfortunately, the bar service was the complete opposite of the dining experience. Since we sat at the bar, most of my interaction was with the bartender, a male who appeared to be in his 40s or 50s. He was inattentive, frazzled, and extremely slow throughout the evening. It was difficult to get his attention, drinks took far too long, and overall he seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. We would've stayed for another drink after we finished our meal but couldn't put up any longer with his inattentiveness and it almost felt that he was hurrying us along. His service made what should have been an enjoyable evening feel unnecessarily frustrating. It's disappointing because the food and atmosphere were so good. Had the bar service matched the quality of the kitchen and the restaurant itself, this easily would have been a five-star experience. As much as I enjoyed the food, I would honestly think twice about returning if this bartender is working again, as he made the experience painful and detracted significantly from an otherwise excellent visit. read more

Our server Caroline was great, and I agree with other reviewers that the decor/ atmosphere is confused. Brix charges high prices and has some nicer furniture like a bistro, but it's also a sports bar that's too bright and out of the way to be considered a date night destination. Best to go here with the boys. In terms of food, the onion soup was good, but the smack and cheese and gnocchi were really bland. They do serve larger portions if that helps justify the expense. read more

We got to Brix Grill at 7:30 on Saturday night there were open seats all around the bar. 1. Bartender, a woman, took a long time b4 she asked what drinks we wanted. I got my usual SoCo Manhattan with rocks on the side. It was 99% vermouth and a splash of SoCo. When I asked for my rocks. I got a look - not a good one. She had to open a new bottle of SoCo to mix w/some ice. So now I know why my drink was all vermouth. 2. Then about another 20 mins we had to flagged her down to take our order. 3. I got chick parm. Chicken was delicious pasta was mushy, stuck together and the sauce was awful. So orange and so much acidity. I had heartburn b4 I left. 4. We tried getting her attention and I know she saw us, but just went on carrying on her convo with everyone on that side of the bar. Finally we got the guy taking care of the other side to get me some water. 5. We finished dinner, and my date likes another drinks so again trying to get her attention was a joke. He asked the guy for another drink, but we see she made it and gave it to him. With no offer to me if I wanted anything. Then Merrimack's hockey game was on the tv and everyone's attention including the bartenders was on the last 2 mins - they won by the way. But they forgot to add his 2nd drink to the tab, so too bad for the owner for having bartenders who seem clueless ! 6. I then had to ask for 2 take home containers, which she got. Then appx 20 mins of us sitting there waiting for her to clear the plates, my date drank his drink. I couldn't get out of there fast enough, I would give no stars but cannot do that here. The food is outstanding the staff are extremely friendly. My husband and I took our two granddaughters here for lunch. The service was excellent as was my meal and my husband's. But what really stood out was my granddaughters macaroni and cheese. She decided she was full and let us have a bite. I'm not a Mac and cheese girl but... this was the best Mac and cheese my husband and I HAVE EVER HAD. I have recommended it to anyone we talk about Brix Grill to. Don't get me wrong my meal and my husband's meals were excellent but this Mac and cheese was incredible. Food- A mixed bag. The baguette was great, as were the salads and fries. The pizza is the single worst pizza I have ever had- we tried the sausage one and it was just slop and a mess of cheese. I literally had one bite and couldn't take another. Service- Inconsistent. First time I went the service was great. Last time I went it was completely dead, but all of the servers were standing around the bar talking. I ordered a drink that never came, and all our food took forever and came out at different times. She knew the menu, was friendly and definitely moved quickly. Ambiance: zero. terrible! The sound is awful--noise just bounced around getting louder while competing with the soundtrack playing throughout. I don't know if the ceiling needs soundproofing or what, but it's brutal. The lighting is also terrible -- harsh overhead lights make it feel like a cafeteria, practically. Overall, the decor is as bland generic as the 99. I don't think we will be back. read more

Food and service were excellent. Typical pub ambience, but they had some seats away from the tv and music.

Firstly, I wanted to hand it to the owners who made the bold move of putting a restaurant of this magnitude in a area, which is not easy to get to from a foot traffic standpoint. I visited this restaurant and got takeout from it several times. The food has reliable quality, and Always seems to come out great. I have a few favorites, there's a umami dish with pasta and sausage, which is absolutely delicious. Not exactly for the health conscious but nonetheless delicious. The burgers are fantastic. They do have a bar with a bartender who cares about the drinks, which is such an added pleasure in the middle of a town like North Andover. If you're looking for solid food at a decent price and not too far from home if you live in this area, this is a great place. The only issue I have is that it could do with a better ambience. It's quite bright in there and can be a little offputting for those looking for a more romantic night out. Great family place and great food though. read more

Hi Guys! I've lived next to brix and Takis for years now (8 years) brix was just put in like 2 years ago though. Anyways brix has delivered so far, some good food, Brussels sprouts are a great appetizer and The Bando chicken sandwich is great with there outstanding Mac and cheese. I'm sorry that is my order because I'm 12 and chicken sandwiches and Mac and cheese is my palate but there is a lot of other food like steak and Italian cuisine. Service is great and a lot of college/high school kids work there, great bar if you are over 21 and the place has a pretty decent vibe! Overall for me this is a very local simple spot for me an my fam. Why I gave 4 stars is because (like I said in the beginning) this place has only been here for a few years. The waitress was very courteous and kind, and even though they seemed short staffed, she was very skilled and attentive. The food was delicious! I got the burger while my fiance got the cubano, and though my burger was amazing, I couldn't help but steal his food because the cubano was out of this world. We've been wanting to try Brix Grill for a while, and finally got the chance. It was average at best. Nachos were overcooked, barely topped with anything and they forgot the jalapeño. What little cheese was on top was completely burnt causing the nachos to be stuck to the paper. We had calamari, which was just plain not good. No seasoning, also overcooked. Side of Brussels sprouts were barely cooked, and they forgot the sauce, had to ask for it on the side. Short ribs were ok, but dry and lacked seasoning. The worst part about dinner was our table. It was small and basically on top of another table, who just happened to be two friends that were having an epic fight. Everyone was looking at them, it was very uncomfortable to be a foot away from them. I don't know how staff members didn't hear them and ask them to quiet down, not that it's their fault... On a bright note, the service was fantastic. Our server was sweet and efficient and made a less than ideal experience much more enjoyable. read more

Valentine's Day specials at Brix Grille, North Andover did not disappoint! Lamb lollipops w/ arugula and pomegranate seeds and mushroom stew (both apps) were "to die for"! I had the maple bourbon glazed scallops with pork belly app for the rest of my meal while husband had the twin filets on bacon cheddar potato cakes w/ Jameson au poivre. For dessert we had the berry crisp w/ vanilla ice cream. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious! Compliments to the chef who put together a wonderful menu for Valentine's Day!
