I ordered in advanced from our Monday night neighborhood food truck option. I selected 5:30pm as my pickup time and got there a few minutes early. They politely told me that they had a large order and were running about 5 mins behind. i went back to my car to wait and got a text telling me my order was ready, although I knew it wasn't. It was actually about 15 minutes, but I didn't mind and appreciated their apology and hustle. They were jovial despite the bitterly cold temp outside. My only complaint was one of the two cooks was not wearing gloves. The food was tasty, hot and fresh and I felt it was a good value, especially since you could get as many toppings on your pita sandwich as you liked and even extra bella sauce with no additional charge. It's been awhile since the last time I've had Pitabilities, but their gyros are as good as ever. The ingredients are nice and fresh, and the meat is cooked perfectly. The reason I hadn't been for so long is mainly because of the lines. Usually I will see them at a fest, and they always have the longest line there, which is great.. For them. Today I caught them at OSU East, and I was surprised to find a bit of a line, but nothing crazy. I ordered the gyro as always, and I got a deal for free fries -thanks Yelp :)- the gyro was great per usual.. The fries not so much. They're just regular shoe string fries out of the bag it seemed, and they were cold. Well, whatever, they were free. My buddy had the buffalo pita and thought it was pretty good but said he'd stick with the gyro next time. A revisit to Pitabilities has altered my expectations. In my previous review I pretty much wrote this truck off as boring and not worth the time, but a return trip has renewed a sense of 'food truck hope' we shall call it. Pitabilities has changed, and for the better. The pitas are nice and soft... not your typical drive thru gyro shop quality, which I first encountered. The truck has changed to a more 'Make your own' type of environment. They've made it pretty easy for the consumer to get what they want, or stick with the set options. They had multiple workers manning the stations, which accounted for quick service, and short wait times. The fries have improved. Yes, you heard me!! They are no longer sad McDonald's quality fries-- They're natural cut, and were cooked well, no sad floppy fries here. The price is right at this truck-- $8 for their pita creations and $10 with fries included. I was being a cheapskate my last review. I'll admit it!!! The only thing I'm totally hating is the 'Boylans'... talk about a bad choice of sodas. My soda tasted like an old school moxie, or like I just drank some hipster's aftershave. Not a fan of it at all. The dessert contraption they have here which is similar to a Mexican Sopapilla, but made with their soft pitas looked and smelled delicious. Quick, fresh, messy to eat. I got their falafel, the falafel itself was okay, it was their sauces that surprised me with tons of flavor. I liked being able to pack in the veggies, Pitabilities was a nice break from food trucks with heavier food. I would stick with the pita over the fries. read more

I want to steal this food truck and bring it back to the Pittsburgh! I cannot begin to tell you just how awesome my salad was. A salad you ask? Isn't that totally boring? It certainly can be totally boring, and takes a great place to spice it up. This place has brought the most delicious Greek salad into my life. I don't know if it was the combo of delicious banana peppers, cucumbers, olives, feta cheese topped with juicy lamb gyro meat, but I was in food heaven! Add in the creamy dreamy Greek dressing and I'm sold! But let's devote a whole paragraph to the side of pita bread they give you. If that pita wasn't homemade, they must have one heck of a distributor because it was bomb! it was so fresh, moist and soft, like it was fresh outta the oven. So I had this for the first time a few months ago and it was so good I've been craving it since. When I looked up food trucks on find my pita there was supposed to be a food truck at Lincoln High School from 2-6 Oct 23. I was so excited that I looked forward to a delicious gyro all day long. Imagine my surprise when I got off work at 5pm and the food truck was nowhere in sight. So disappointed and frustrated, especially after going out of my way in rush hour traffic. BUT...the level of dedication from this company is incredibly impressive. The owner responded to my issue and resolved it but the fact that the owner responded to my yelp post is incredible. Oh Em A mazing!! Absolutely enjoy the food they have to offer. The service is great and wait time isn't bad at all. My favorite is the feta fries.. The Pitabilities truck stopped by my work today. Great pair of personalities running the truck, as well as decent food for around $5.50/sandwich with a side salad or fries for an extra buck. I nabbed a bacon burger pita which had a plethora of bacon and topped with their house sauce which is like a cross between mayo and tzatziki which was ideal for my palette. My only complaint was the fries were reheated in a flash fryer and were somewhat undercooked for my preference. Other than that, I'd definitely eat at their truck again! read more

Jules and I managed to make it out for the Springfield Food Truck Competition this past Saturday and indulge in a veritable orgy of glorious food from all over the Midwest. With so many choices at our fingertips, I decided to head to Pitabilities. So, as I headed to the front of line, you imagine my disappointment that my first choice, the New Delhi pita sandwich, was out of stock. Blast! But, that's the territory that comes with food trucks--sometimes they run out of your favorites. I instead had to settle on the Buffalo Chicken pita. And this decision? Yeah, maybe not my best, and certainly not Pitabilities' best. The pita itself came straight out of a bag, very obviously not freshly made and not even toasted. My sandwich came with only 4-5 chunks of chicken in it, mainly being filled with nearly-liquid mozzarella cheese, two kinds of sauce, and a pile of raw onion. Not 'grilled' onion like the menu advertised--this onion was barely warm. Honestly? The best thing I could recommend from the Pitabilities truck is their fries. They're shoestring fries with just the right amount of seasoning--plus, you can get them with a number of toppings included gyro meat and feta. In the end, though, there are so many food trucks at these festivals that I probably won't stop by Pitabilities again. Sorry guys, but one strike is all you get in that arena... read more

Hmmmm yum! I first tried this amazing wonder on wheels after a Yelp event when the smell of their pitas came wafting right out in front of me (how dare they right?!) So I was already sold before I ordered (mind you, that their colorful and well designed truck also sold me over). I decided to order a gyro, and although I have experienced the typical "street meat" gyro, this was just as amazing, but so much better on so many levels. The grub they put on top of the pita was fresh and crunch and...did I say fresh?! The meat was ever so tasty and the pita was nice and fresh! Ugh, did I mention fresh?! The people manning the truck were so much fun! They interacted with everyone there and helped people pick what they should order. They have a computer screen for their menu. Decent! I had this food truck for the first time this past weekend, and I was satisfied with my original gyro. My partner had the buffalo chicken pita, which was also pretty good. He got his with fries, and they were good but nothing special. I like that you can have a nice variety of veggies/toppings on your pita, and the pita itself was very soft. Everything we had was good, but nothing amazing or different to mention. I thought that $8 for a gyro seemed a bit high, but most food trucks have a slightly elevated cost, so I understand why. The woman running the counter was very outgoing and helpful. I liked the fact that they offer fare that is less greasy than a lot of food truck items. I've been trying to find a time where I could finally try this truck out. It felt weird "liking" them on my facebook page when I hadn't even tried the food. Sadly it took a yelp event for me to finally take the opportunity to see if me blindly "liking" them was justified. Coming out of the yelp event I needed something that wasn't from a fruit and veggie tray. Nothing against the food at the event, I just needed "a meal" meal. I wasn't in the mood to munch on my pita on the street as it was kind of late and I wanted to head home. So I asked if it made sense to take my pita home. They told me they can separate out all the ingredients so that nothing gets soggy and everything stays fresh. Awesome. So I ordered the teriyaki chicken pita and took my doggy bag home. Once i got home, I assembled my pita and really appreciated Pitabilities separating everything out. Chicken was wonderfully marinated and the veggies stayed fresh. What I loved the best was that the pita was extremely warm, soft and fluffy, like I wrapped my food in a pillow. No stiff, dry cardboard pita here. read more

Tried out Piatbilities while attending the Whitehall Food Truck fest last weekend. It was by far our favorite truck that we tried! My bfriend and I split the original gyro. Pitabilities stopped by my workplace today, and the food critic in me felt obligated to try them out. I'm pleased to report that my experience with Pitabilities was top notch and way better than some nameless taco truck that stopped by last month. Even with 15 people in line, I was able to get through the ordering and food pickup process in about 10 minutes, much faster than other food trucks I've tried! My order today was the Original Greek Gyro with a side of fries, and their CinnaChips with chocolate for dessert. The fries were just fries, good, but nothing special about them. Having low hopes after the fry sample though, I jumped into the gyro and was met with great surprise! The presentation was mouth-watering, and lived up to the hype on the first bite! Topped with fresh veggies, the lamb flavor in the gyro was perfectly on point. The bella cause served with it was similar to a traditional tzaziki sauce, but was made with mayo and sour cream, instead of the traditional yogurt and vinegar. The pita was wonderfully robust, standing up to a healthy portion of meat, veggies, and sauce. The CinnaChips were fine, a bit too much cinnamon and sugar on them for my taste, and it seemed like they were topped with a plain Hershey's chocolate sauce. Their saving grace though was that the exterior of the chips were nicely crisp with a pillowy soft inside. It was a wonderful play of texture in my mouth with each bite, even if the flavor was somewhat disappointing. The pita chips might have been even better had it been served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. :-) Overall, this was a terrific 5-star experience. If I see these guys out and about near me again, it'll definitely be a reason for me to pull over and consider new Pitabilities! read more

I walked down to the Columbus Commons' Food Truck Court today and this truck's menu seemed to be the best. I got a falafel pita with fries and when I asked if they had a sauce for the fries, the lady taking orders pointed to the big jug of ketchup (yuck) but the cook heard me and offered up a couple of different options (one being tzatziki), which he gave me with my order. The pita, fries, and sauces were all fresh and delicious. I will definitely grab lunch from them again. read more

I got a philly pita from here during the yelp elite event on 3/7/12 and it blew my expectoration out of the water. Easily the best pita I've ever had. The pita was very soft and high quality, the meat was super tender and full of flavor. All of the veg were really fresh and crisp and it had exactly the right amount of sauce and cheese. Staff was really nice, and the cart itself is well kept. i like the LCD display menu. I will for sure go out of my way to eat from here again. read more

I had never had Greek style food before I decided to try the pitabilities food truck! I am so glad I did because it is delicious. The chicken Shawarma pita is my favorite but the loaded fries are also amazing! I liked the food so much that I now go to the new location in the center street market in old Hilliard. Not bad at all! Pitabilities is one of several trucks that has made their way up to Dublin recently, so I walked over from my office to give them some $$ (and encourage them to come back!) I just went with the basic gyro and fries (plus I used a Yelp check in deal to get my fries for free!), and it was a nice, tasty wrap. The only thing I don't know if I like was the lack of tzatziki sauce - they use what they call "Bella" sauce, which was sour cream based, instead. I also tried the cinnamon chips - basically big fried pita wedges with cinnamon sugar and caramel sauce. Very messy, but a nice treat! I saw several people getting the salads and falafel wraps, and heard a lot of pleased feedback. Seems like some good options there, too. read more

A solid falafel pita, stuffed with lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, hummus, olives, and sauce. The falafel were a little misshapen, which to me is a good thing, indicating they're made by hand. And the whole thing dished up by friendly people who are clearly enjoying what they're doing. Probably not a food truck I would go out of my way to find (unlike, say, Aromaku) but I wouldn't complain if it was regularly parked next to my office, either. read more

I'm sure all the people here will appreciate your presence and switch from Chipotle during that one special hopeful day. Other than that, the gyro is fantastic. The crisp on the pita, and all the toppings that they threw in it, just blend in nicely. All the essentials are done to perfection (pita, protein, and sauce), now to make it a perfect meal, you have to know what you don't like to be in the gyro. We've had food trucks come by work a couple of days a week, which has been fun but the food has been mostly disappointing. This one is legit. They were fast, and really friendly. They asked if I was vegan when I asked for no cheese, and told me that I should also skip the Bella sauce then (proactive assistance most appreciated!) I got the falafel pita, no cheese or Bella sauce. It was fantastic with just the falafel and veggies, if messy. I also got the pita chips which turned out to be a small side of hummus and fried triangles of pita bread, not chips from a bag. This filled my heart with joy (and probably cholesterol, but whatever.) I'd definitely make a point to visit this truck again. read more

Last night I had Pitabilities for the first time and I will definitely order it again! I got the shawarma on top of fries with cheese, Bella sauce, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, lettuce, tomoatoes, and olives. SO GOOD! What a treat this turned out to be. I have seen this truck a few buildings down plenty of times but have never tried it. Today, the truck was parked in our lot. I had to give it a shot. This has got to be one of the better food trucks in town. Good selection, great taste, affordable prices. What more could you ask for? Even the staff was quite friendly. The pita was tasty too, with grilled ohions, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, cucumbers, banana peppers, and feta.
