The Gryo meat must be something sliced and prepackaged as it had absolutely no flavor and was mushy. Costco sells better Gryo meat. No Feta on the Gryo was very odd. Fries were hot but odd seasoning, usually you would have some kind of feta or something in them. I would not go back. Spent $17.00 and wished I would have tried somewhere else. read more

I am a Greek. In fact, I am Greeker than a tragedy. I regret to inform that the food here doesn't resemble real Greek food in the slightest. The chicken was barely seasoned. The salad did not use the proper dressing or olives. Nor did it even come with one measly slice of Pita on the side. The tzatziki was watery. If this is what passes for good food in Tallahassee, we're all in trouble because it stunk. Also, my shoes were sticking to their gross floors. I feel misled by the prior reviews, to be honest. We tried the original lamb gyro and the gyro supreme. We preferred the original lamb gyro compared to the supreme but both tasted good and fresh. The prices listed on their website aren't the same prices they charge at the drive through, so be aware of that. I would recommend though! read more

Yum! A nice selection, it's so good that I wish the portions were bigger hehe! It's a nice selection and the service was friendly. There was a nice worker who gave us a Tzatziki sauce for free. The Greek fries were addicting due to the spices. It has ample seating for people, although we were the only ones there at the time. I would comeback again and recommend it if you want some Greek flavor. The environment has some light classic rock music playing in the back which is pleasant. Really small place, 99% sure it's drive thru only. The guy at the window saw my dog sitting in the back and gave me a complimentary "puppy special" which was shaved gyro wrapped in foil! needless to say, she loved it. Service was speedy and the food was so good! I highly recommend the pita fries, they're crispy and salty and delicious. Next time I think I would go for the "supreme" addition of onions and mushrooms to the sandwich. It wasn't bad but that addition would have kicked it up a notch. Was looking forward to some tasty chicken souvlaki and gyro sandwiches. They were staffed strangely with only 1 cook and 3 people to take orders. Most people came to drive the through. We were the only 2 people sitting inside to eat. When I ordered the chicken souvlaki platter the server frowned and said it would take at least 15 minutes and did I still want it? Okayyyy.... I still wanted it, and the gyro sandwich for my mom. The platter came with 2 small skewers of chicken, maybe 3 oz total, a pita and a small portion of over salted Greek fries. I actually was still hungry after eating this meal. The meat was salty and dry. Moms gyro sandwich was a bit better, but I think $9 for a gyro that comes with nothing is a bit pricey. Worst Greek Restaurant in Tallahassee. Everything in the menu is second-hand bought items from Walmart or Sam's. Lacks of food originally. Essentially, it is fake Greek food. There is nothing special about this place. Dessert like Baklava is acquired from Ben E. Keith food service and not homemade like they claim to be. The owner inherited this business, so basically She has no clue how to run a Greek restaurant properly. Employees turnover is high because of her unnecessary micromanaging freakouts at all times. Homeless people frequently hang out at this location. Generally, they get a free meal for the visit. So basically, if you want a free meal, tell them you are homeless, and employees will gladly reward you with a free fake gyro meal. read more

How do you make a 5 star claim on a drive thru? Here's how: 1-Clean building inside and out. The grounds look like they were once a Rally's or a Coney Island drive thru. There are no seats, unless you count your car. It is after all a drive thru. Looking in from the DT window, it is very clean looking and smells good. 2- Friendly staff - I spoke with 2 young ladies this evening and both were nice and seemed happy to be there. They were courteous and friendly. 3-Good Food - the Pita fries are off the chain good. The cuts of lamb in the gyros were huge and tender. Everything tasted fresh. This goes for the tziki sauce, real fresh cucumbers, very subtle flavor! 4- good value - a filling meal under $10. 5 - fast: in and out under 5 minutes. Back to the gyro - mine was the royals with the tasty feta and onions. Not too strong, maybe the best onions and peppers ever, very mild, almost sweet. The meat was great and plentiful. This is my go-to for lunch. I really like their gyros. I recently tried their new lamb burger. I was skeptical at first because lamb can be dry,, but I was seriously impressed. It was cooked to perfection, hot and juicy. It was topped by caramelized onions, feta, a few tomato chunks, a small amount of lettuce, and just a hint of mint, and served on an onion roll. Pitaria express offers a great option for those seeking a quick and fresh lunch on the south side of town. The portions are enormous and I have never gotten a bad meal from here. My favorite thing to get is the chicken gyro supreme, which is your standard gyro (with chicken meat) plus the addition of mushrooms, onions and feta. Pita fries are my go to because they are seasoned perfectly and come with a side of tatziki sauce. Don't be turned off by the strange look of this drive though only restaurant- the food is pure good and in my opinion offers one of the best pitas in town. Knowing this my loving mama picked me up a Falafel Wrap from the Pitaria Express because she cares about the safety and sustainability of my family. The Falafel Wrap was perfect: the falafel was perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft and nutty on the inside, the pita bread was soft and yummy and the veggies were fresh. The diced onions were pretty intense but I'm a big girl and I handled it. I loved the yogurt sauce on top as well. It was super simple and satiating. I was staying next door and needed to eat, like right away. I was starving. So I pull up and order a small Greek salad and a gyro. The lady that took my gave me the combo that includes a soda because the total cost would be less (that is nice of her to do that). The gyro was standard was decent. The Greek salad was also decent; I just wish it had some olives in it. Overall, it was good. It was quick service and reasonably priced. I'd never been to Pitaria, but they just opened this location about a mile from my apartment, and I had to check them out. I'm pretty sure this place is drive-through only; but they have drive-through windows on both side of the building, so it's all good. The intercom wasn't working yet, so I had to order at the window--which I expected to slow things down, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food came quickly and didn't cost much. Greek fries, a sweet tea and a gyro supreme were under $10. I was a little disappointed the fries didn't come with tzatziki sauce like I thought they would (based on reviews from their Tennessee St location), but they were good just the same. And the gyro supreme was huge and delicious! I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. read more

Pitaria Express is my drive-thru staple, and I've only ever had one thing I didn't enjoy - the chicken pita. The chicken was precooked, and very dry. I love their gyros, pita fries, baklava, and most of all, their positively top notch falafel. I'd easily give the food a 5, but I'd be generous giving the service a 3. I've had at least one item left out of my order on just about every visit, and have had encounters with one particular employee where I'm pretty darn sure there's a substance being toked before work. I don't like having to do a U-turn in a high traffic area of town to get what they've left out of our order, and for that, I'm giving a 4. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because they gave my dog a puppy snack which is adorable and my dog was absolutely vibrating with excitement. I also got the aforementioned puppy snack. Now, not to take away from this super sweet gesture which made my dog's whole night, but they did hand me the puppy snack - a little greasy packet of gyro meat bundled up in white paper - um, that's it. They handed it to me. Just handed me a greasy bundle of meat. Sweet - but super messy and left me just awkwardly holding it and trying not to touch anything in my car and then trying to drive with it back home. But still sweet. The people food was just not impressive at all. The "Greek fries" are just frozen crinkle cut fries with some kind of weird seasoning. I'm really sensitive to anything fishy tasting and these tasted super fishy. I feel like it was the seasoning. Which was also oddly green. So those were pretty awful. I was imagining something along the lines of fries with feta and tzaziki I was not imagining what I got. My pita also had the same weird green seasoning, the chicken was dry, and the most offending ingredient was the tzaziki which tasted suspiciously like it had a mayo base instead of a yogurt base. I can't even get into how much I hate mayo and how tzaziki should never never never have mayo. So. I guess you can say I'm not a fan. read more

I am familiar with the food here so it was to my amazement (and excitement) when I saw there was one on this side of town, on my way out. I even made a Uturn to grab a gyro. I pulled around and waited for about 3 minutes but heard nothing so I drove up to the window. I saw the young man inside on his phone, I honked twice, only thing he did was put food in his mouth.
