This has low-key become a favorite spot of mine to show visitors to Queens and a fabulous alternative for late night munchies in this part of Corona. The owner hails from Colombia and his crew of guys are bustling in a tiny food truck kitchen, cooking up variations of carne asada with tostones, salads, and rice. I've never seen a menu for this place and I've also never heard anyone speak English either. Es muy importante para comunicar en el español. It is strictly cash only and be prepared to wait during prime evening hours (1AM-3AM). My favorite combination is the carne frita, which is like a chunky Dominican style fried beef. While it's sauteed and not deep fried, the chimichurri condiment is readily available at the counter and is an essential component if mixed with the sides. Make sure an avocado is present and mix it up with the the moros (mixed rice) and tostones. The end result is a $10ish platter of late night goodness. While I sing their praises overall, I can't give them 5 stars for a number of reasons. Their carne asada platter is good, but more difficult to eat since their plastic knives don't do much with the meat. Parking for drivers is a zoo at times and folks are parking illegally just to get in line. It gets extra confusing when folks are standing around and not ordering, which leads to big crowds and longer wait times. ____________ (#1) Halal, Mexican, and pizza can wait another night.

These guys are clearly commanding the halal food scene, and after finally trying it, I completely understand the hype. The food was flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what we needed at that moment. There's something about eating a great late-night meal straight from NYC food cart that just hits differently. I will say, my sandwich was VERY spicy. And i love spicy food, but this was another level haha... My entire mouth was on fire. The funny part? I literally could not stop eating it. It was that good. I don't go as much as I use to, as the price has more than doubled since 2017/18. However, that has nothing to do with my rating. My problem is that meats have gone downhill. I used to love gyro meat - never sure what it was exactly lamb or beef - but now it is just gross and greasy. The chicken which used to be excellent is now very dry. The white sauce is great and the rice is fine, but that is it. Not worth getting anymore. Maybe one of their competitors is better, can't really be worse.

I might understand its because we are in a fan zone and the number of people is overwhelming but I believe an extra person or 2 should have been added to avoid such issue. They seem to have very limited online presence; no website that I could find and an IG account with no info or posts. So for now, it's a bit of a mystery when and where they will pop up. I happen to spot them parked in front of the Jax & Co Food Hall in LIC this past weekend. They've been operating for about a month and are still flying under the radar. I tried their Dirty Matcha ($8.50/large) which had espresso, matcha and coconut milk and one of their Cheese Steak Mini Bun ($4). The drink was quite good and perfectly balanced. I loved the addition of the coconut milk which slightly tempered the bitterness of the matcha. The mini Cheese Steak bun, however, was just okay. For four bucks, it was quite small in size and I probably would not get this again. The filling tasted fine but not what I was expecting of a "Cheese steak" filling. I really hope they set up their website soon or include info in their IG--it'd be great to know where they'll be each day. If they did, I'd definitely be more likely to check them out again. Funnily, they are on Fantuan so you can order any of their drinks through them for delivery.

That's not a typo, 3x "WOWs". It was so good, I'm able to write this a few days later, still craving another. The char on the burger was perfect, and the ham complimented it perfectly. (I don't usually go for ham, but it would be missing something without it). Same with the Pineapple Sauce, not something I'd order myself, but PERFECT to go with the other Pink Sauce, not sure what was in there, but dang it was good. And the Potato Sticks to top it off! My first thought was "do I really want these on here" but my next was "THANK YOU FOR THESE" the crunch was PERFECT to cut through the texture of the burger. I was on my way to Mexico but this burger had me yelling "Take me to Hawaii, or at least back to Queens!" 11/10 burger, seriously, and I wouldn't have ordered myself since the flavors aren't my go-to's, but I'm counting down the minutes until I can try something I WOULD order, although, I don't know how you beat 11/10.

If memory serves correctly, this cart started initially under the 7 train 46th Street station tracks before moving further into the Sunnyside Arch (#1). Since the name has taken off, even the cart looks different with bright colors and big branding. The good news is the food is still tasty. Most of the time, I tend to go for the evening hours when I might not be completely sober (#2) aiming for my go-to combination lamb and chicken over rice with a blanket slathering of white sauce and a dash of hot sauce. I also found the service to be friendlier at night with Muhammad (?). However, even during the daytime, the cart serves as an excellent lunch option. It's a different crew but the food is no less tasty. Different crowds are here at different times, so there are weights occasionally, but I found that the food has always been consistent without much of a wait. While the prices have gone up significantly due to foodflation, the portions have been consistently hearty. I have a feeling they accept credit card, but I always recommend paying in cash.
