Honestly, I am extremely disappointed in this shop. I have been coming here for around 2 years with my E36 M3, and they have been incredibly inconsistent. I had them replace my master cylinder and slave cylinder for brakes, and they not only did not do it correctly the first time, but also made me feel wrong when I found the master was leaking. It was not until the shop owner got involved that it was fixed. I additionally had my spark plugs to go in to be changed when they did a smoke test a while back, and their technician advised I keep the current ones in the car and assured me they were good. The day after, I inspected them to find they were burnt through the iode and the 6th plug was hand loose. Additionally, the shop manager assured me that there were no codes (in the process of chasing a misfire), and again, I went and bought my own scanner for BMWs specifically and found several codes relating to the misfire. In my most recent exchange, my idler pulley broke after an alternator repair after about 100-ish miles, and when I asked them, they didn't see the faulty part as the idle pulley needs to be removed to replace the alternator. Angel (the shop manager) said that part didn't need to be removed to fix the alternator. A blatant lie. All of this work makes me question why they charge manufacturer labor, not the actual time it takes to replace parts (which I would understand if they had corrected the first time around). In addition to this, I confronted the shop manager about why they had moved my own purchased parts from the floor of the vehicle, and he said to keep them safe. He moved the brake pads to the seat and left a camshaft position sensor on the floor, which sounds like looking through my parts for reasons he didn't care to explain. Instead, he said he was done with me and my issues regarding the shop and its integrity in their work. I really wanted to love this shop, but after being inconsistent, charging for time that isn't necessary for work for an incomplete job, while being dishonest and making it look like I was the problem, after paying thousands for work sucks as a repeated and long-time customer. Pitstop turned my car into a Phoenix and raised it from a non running dead engine car to a twin turbo swap. 10-23-2023 I am updating my glowing review of Pitstop Performance I left years ago to include the experience I had with the body shop! I had the right rear passenger door repaired after I scrapped a cement pillar in a parking garage years ago. I know, I'm a distracted idiot. The repair performed then was superb. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Recently, the same right rear passenger door was hit by a driver backing out of a parking spot. He was driving a huge truck and probably couldn't see me and even though his windows were down, he didn't hear my horn to alert him. So, I brought my car back to Pitstop Performance. I have all my maintenance needs performed by Pitstop. Adrian supplied my estimate and a week later, he and his body repair crew performed their magic. When I returned to pick it up, the entire car looked repainted. It wasn't, but it was nicely detailed and a few nicks I remembered were touch up too. I have attached a couple pictures that don't do the work justice due to average lighting and the fact it was a week after I picked it up. I towed my car to Pitstop Performance and the 5 star review isn't enough! The staff, from the owner to the technicians are friendly, professional and personable. They could see I was in a jam and were able to get me in same day and return my car the next day. Can you believe, I got my car back the next day after it caught on fire?! ...and it performed better than ever! The technicians are knowledgeable and honest. When I returned to pick up my vehicle I got a detailed description of why it caught on fire and what he did to repair it. As if that all that wasn't enough.. the price! It's got to be the best in town. I couldn't ask for better! I was recommended to Pitstop from my progressive insurnace rep a place he use to work for prior, I called Friday spoke to Allen who was very helpful in the mechanical side and got me scheduled for Monday (I didn't want to come down Friday and just wait as a walk in but was offered that option) well I came into my appt today Monday greeted by Allen whom helped me and passed me off to ADRIAN from the bodyshop- I had a few different issues that I wasn't sure if it was mechanical or bodyshop due to a accident I was in last year. Blew out some bushings in control arms. Other shop wanted $3000 for all new parts on a car worth at best twice that. I did some searching online to find I could get upgraded parts with better performance and replace just the bushings. Pitstop knows nissans & infinitis backwards and forwards and took on the job. Did great work and about 1/3 of what was estimated elsewhere! Not only that, but the owner showed me around his mini-museum for Zs. I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical having ANY shop do this install.. To start from the beginning, I bought these HKS SSQV4 blow off valves for my 2017 Q60 from Concept Z performance, I had originally planned on doing the install myself. However after the realization I lacked the time and tools to do so, I contacted Concept Z and asked where they recommend I have this install done; they recommended Pitstop. I went out on a limb and had it done. Not only was the install done EXACTLY as designed by HKS and CZP, but the install took the proper amount of time and was not rushed through.
