I was disgusted to see such filth. It made me question my decision to eat there. We canceled the order and RAN out of there. Not impressed. First time here, very poor service. Had to go up to order (following what others had to do to order), the place was not busy and we didn't get drinks for 15 minutes or so. Our 2 pizzas took a very long time one one was completely soggy. No one came back to check on us our our drinks at all and I had to go up to the cook to get our 2nd pizza because it had been sitting and ready for 5 minutes while our server hung out by the register. Will not be coming back. This place needs help. And to the cook, no one eats giant cloves of garlic on anything.. bring a coat. Great pizza! My favorite is the Rafter's Special. I've got it every time but one. I always ask if they can substitute Italian sausage for the red onions. They've always been willing except once. I was told they can't do that without an extra charge. The one that said that definitely appeared put out when I said that's how I'd always ordered it and had never been told that. She was also a bit rude on a recent visit. She did quickly change and become very friendly though. I believe it is the same one another reviewer mentioned. Other than that, the staff is always very friendly. I have to rave about their salad bar!! I was very surprised to see another reviewer say it was "decent". Every single time I've been there the salad bar is immaculate. Not a single spilled topping, everything is extremely fresh, topped off, great selection of toppings and the lettuce is bright green, fresh and very slightly damp from being cleaned. When I say damp, I mean that in a good way. I prefer my salads like that. Definitely nowhere near wet or causing the dressing to slide off or water down. Their ranch dressing is delicious. The restaurant is always extremely clean including the restrooms. I don't think I've ever been put on hold when I call to place an order. They do a great job decorating for the various holidays as they come. They have put a lot of money into their business in the last year with a new a/c and a new pizza oven. Went up to visit Crater Lake yesterday. It was a blast. Snowdrifts were up between 6 and 15 feet. However, we got there a bit late and didn't have time to eat @ the cafe (which was a bummer, cuz we were getting hungry), but DID have just enough time to score myself a 'touristy souvenir' of a t-shirt and hat. On the way back, we passed through a wide spot in the road that is known as Shady Cove...and saw a new pizza place that had opened recently. We decided to try it. Their crust isn't aged like a lot of pizza places here in the Valley, it's hand-tossed and isn't too thick (like some chain store pizzas). The crust is cooked to a nice golden-brown on the bottom in an oven that has a stone bottom - NOT a conveyor-belt, like some national chain pizza joints. The ingredients are pretty fresh (as are the salad bar fixins), and the pizza sauce is a bit understated - which i've heard that some people prefer. It doesn't overcome the taste of the toppings. Along with our half 'Skinny Special' (Canadian bacon & fresh, cold tomatos - to which we added a bit of sausage) and half Rafters Special (Pepperoni, Red Onions, Red Bell Peppers, Mushrooms and Olives), we added a couple of Fat Tire brand beers. the result was mighty tasty. Between that, a salad and the Fat Tire, we were both pretty well on our way to being satiated, happy customers. THIS is the place to eat when you come to fish, tube down or otherwise put yourself up against the mighty Rogue River...even it's only to watch it flow by from atop the miles of lush green riverbank. read more

I've lived in Shady Cove a bit over five years and hadn't been here till today. Pizza and salad was amazing. I was actually surprised on how good and clean everything is. They have beer on tap and that is always a plus. The price of the pizza and beer are reasonably priced. At first when I ordered the all you can eat salad I thought the price to be a bit much, but once you see the salad bar it makes it worth the money to have fresh ingredients. Okay the pizza here is super yummy goodness in your tummy! The crust is delicious, always the right amount of sauce and cheese. It's so good! We have ordered delivery from here many Times. When we pick it up it is way better than delivery. Whenever we order delivery it becomes more of an ordeal than ordering pizza. They are always way later then they say they will be, sometimes they bring us the wrong pizza or have gotten our Order wrong. They have taken up to over an hour over what they have said to bring our pizza. So an hour an half. We live pretty close to them like a 5-8 min ride at the most. So great pizza, friendly staff, but they are disorganized and slow. My advice always pick up and skip the mayhem of delivery. They should probably not offer it since it's not their forte. read more
