We had the meatball pizza and it impressed me with how good it was, someone else in our party ordered it and I didn't have high hopes but I was wrong in my assumption, to say the least. And the service was good. The second visit tonight 12/19/23 and EVERYTHiNG was so good!! We met the owner Ray, a nice, personable human who spent his time talking and getting to know us and making us feel welcome in his establishment. Upon walking up to the establishment, the art on the building is eye catching. You walk thru the door and it's like waking into the house of an ol soul. So eclectic! Nice laid back vibe. My boyfriend and I had some pizza and poppers from the Old Soul 2 over in the neighborhood behind staples, and WOWWW we were impressed. My first time trying pizza since moving to Oregon and I don't know that I want to try anywhere else. The menu looks so good I have so many more things I want to try but this time we got the Thai peanut pizza it was so crazy delicious. The people working here are so friendly as well you can tell it's a great place not just to eat great food but to enjoy your job. We liked the pizza but the people were surprisingly rude. We have never seen a place that is uninformed about disability service dogs. Shockingly enough, they wouldn't even allow us to have a meal outside on their outdoor patio. They stated 'their policy' doesn't allow dogs of any kind. They mustn't be aware of a FEDERAL policy that allows service animals to accompany their patient into all places. We bought the food and went to a park where a homeless dude zoomed right up to us asking us to 'give him some pizza' before we even found a place to sit down! He stared at us like a weirdo to the point we couldn't even eat in peace. We drove to another place where wasps were on us even faster than the homeless guy. Gave up on it and drove to our cabin thirty minutes away with garlic smell fragrance seeping into our car. Whatever, 'old soul pizza', we won't bother with that again. Great pizza, affordable prices and good beer selection. What more could you ask for in a local pizza joint? They also have outdoor seating along the side with picnic tables for larger groups and smaller cafe high tops that seat 1 - 2 people. Super fast and friendly service. Our pizza was done in less than 5 minutes of ordering. We ordered a 10" zesty sausage and 10" Mia Malia pizza for two people and had some leftovers of both for lunch the next day. If we were both starving, we could have easily finished. Both pizzas were so flavorful and baked perfectly. I liked the crust, perfect chewiness somewhere between a thick and truly thin crust. Loved the balance between spicy and sweet on both of our pizzas. The jalapeños on the zesty sausage were balanced with the pineapple and the jalapeños on the Mia Malia were balanced with a drizzle of honey. And yes, I am a fan of pineapple on pizza. I have nothing against fruit on a pizza when the flavors work together. We also ordered a small cider and a hefeweizen. Beers come in small or pint size, which is a great option when you don't want to drink an entire pint or you want to try different beers. Highly recommend this local pizza spot. I saw quite a few people sipping wine on the outdoor patio, where there were live music and fire lamps. Unfortunately we had to get the pizza to-go. We got the 14" (medium) Zesty Sausage - a white pizza with pineapple, ground Italian sausage and jelepano. It's an interesting and delicious combo. The dough is the thick and chewy kind. There's a reason why this is one of our favorite places . To celebrate a volleyball win, we headed to Old Soul. Both daily specials sounded wonderful but after asking the waitress (she's been there awhile) which was more popular, I ordered the vegetarian one. The service here is excellent. I planned on just having water but after hearing the waitress describe the creamy root beer with real vanilla that is made in Eugene, I knew I had to try one. Our waitress took our order without writing it down. The vibe is chill, the service is outstanding and the food is great! If you are into trying new things, they have nightly specials. I am not normally a pizza person, but I will always have a slice of Old Soul pizza. The toppings are always unique, delicious, and just the right amount. Only visiting the area about once a year I had no idea this new(er) pizza place even existed. First thing as we walked in we noticed all the wall/restaurant décor. Really unique - check out the Tom Petty tribute, really cool! A couple rooms offer a pretty good variety of table and bar seating. If the restaurant is packed - and the weather isn't bad - there are seats lined up outside down the length of the building. Staff was friendly, quick to get drink orders, followed up with us to make sure we didn't need anything and made sure drinks stayed full. Pizza menu isn't huge, but that's ok, what they do have is excellent! If you get the smaller size, think individual pizza. If you get the larger size it is share it with the person your with size. We had 8 of us total, and we ended up trying 5 different pizzas. All were really good. Ingredients were fresh and crust with relatively thin brick oven fired. These probably were the best brick oven pizza's I've ever had. If I lived here I would frequent this place a lot. Very good! If you haven't been you should try them out as soon as you get a chance. read more

On our way from CA to WA, we spent a night in Roseburg. After Yelp searching, we decided on Old Soul Pizza. Omg!!! Not only are they super nice, but their pizza was so good. Their take is a little different than what I am use to, but I trusted the earlier reviews. Also, brick oven pizza is my favorite. We aren't too adventurous, so we stuck with a '10 pepperoni pizza and a '10 bbq chicken pizza, no substitutions/changes. I'm glad we ordered 2 pizzas so we had leftovers for the next day. I will definitely make this a stop on my future trips. Four weeks later, my daughter is still talking about their pizza. read more
