The bread is nicely seasoned and crispy with deli meats, melty cheese with pickles, tomato and lettuce. I put in a delivery order for an Ultimate sandwich and a fettuccine alfredo. When the delivery guy came to my door, all he had was the ultimate sandwich, no pasta. I told him I had ordered two items and he said all he has on his order ticket is the sandwich. So then I go to open my texts for updates, nothing there. Then I checked my emails and then that's when I found it: "fettuccine alfredo OUT OF STOCK". Upset, I go down to the location to talk to someone about this. I kept my cool when I first arrived but within seconds it shifted. I first tell the girl at the counter that I had just received my delivery order, she interrupts me and rudely says, "yeah?" Then I tell her that I didn't receive my pasta order. She tells me that they were out of stock so they removed it and refunded me. No apology, no nothing. I told her I wasn't notified of this and tells me I should have received text about it. Well I should have gotten a phone call or something to at least get something to replace it with what they do have in stock. So I then ask if there's a manager or supervisor I can speak to because im obviously getting nowhere here and she said there isn't one. I ask if an owner is available to talk to and she said they were only available on the weekends. So I said to her, "does this happen a lot with your online order customers that their orders get canceled without notice and upset customers come in to complain about this issue?" She said yeah. Well that's sad, there's no care or effort made for the customer to make things right. So all I got was an Ultimate sandwich for my family and for me, nothing but a headache and anger. Friday, January 31, 2020 Been here easily 20+ more times since my original review (May 2019) so I figured it was time to update it. We love Pizza Barn. Tucked away/hidden in a corner you wouldn't even know this place is here unless someone told you about it. But the food at the Pizza Barn is great. The pizza here is consistently excellent, the all you can eat spaghetti dinner special they have on Wednesday nights is a fabulous deal, and on Friday nights, they have a Fish & Chips dinner which is excellent (and large portions). We had that tonight as a matter of fact. They also have a Taco Tuesday's but we don't like the tacos here. Pizza Barn has very reasonable prices. They also have happy hour specials/pricing which is wonderful. It took my wife and I several times to like the atmosphere in the room. Pizza Barn is a locals hang out and you are either in or out with that, but we don't come here to socialize with the daily hardcore regulars (that sit at the bar and drink like a fish). We come for the excellent quality food. Pizza Barn is not the nicest restaurant vibe you'll ever experience, the room decor/appearance is old/tired and needs some love but we don't mind too much, it has charm and as I've said, the food is great, the prices are reasonable and they also have some beautiful service oriented waitresses that are always attentive. We love this place. Tues/Thurs taco nights, Wed is all you can eat spaghetti. Of course every night they serve pizza, which we love.

I stopped by today on a recommendation and even though it's a pizza place I specifically came to try out the tacos. I must say they exceeded my expectations. When you walk in seating is first come first serve. The waitress was quick. Order water and it came out in a big cup so that was great! The tacos are not on the menu and only available Tuesday and Thursday. The hard shell and flavorful meats hit the spot. Pizza Barn used some good salsa you could actually tasty the chili peppers. Pizza was cold by the time I got home up there street and I was there earlier than they said the wait time would be. They must have made it quick and just had it sitting there. To the pizza. Very little sauce. The cheese pizza could have been confused with cheesy bread. The pepperoni was good but again, very little sauce. Tasted fine and not something I'd throw away but there's more options out there. Smaller diameter than other pizza places so order accordingly. We got the Mario's Ultimate sandwich, large, for $20.95. The printed menu and the board states it comes with avocado. In fact, the line below it states "extra avocado/cheese" for more money. Our sandwich contained no avocado. When we asked why it was missing, we were told the manager just changed it, and took it out. We countered, saying they should have crossed out the avocado as an ingredient if they did not intend on serving it. No answer. I'm sure the girls working here have no vested interest in the business-which explains the terse answer. The sandwich was ok-but with the little meat that was in the sandwich, it wasn't spread throughout evenly. Some pieces had several slices of turkey, others did not. And there was only one slice of roast beef in each slice. Pretty sparse, and disappointing. There is a fountain soda machine so you can refill your drinks. 9 beers on tap-Lite, Stella, Modelo, Blue Moon, Sam Adams, Coors, Bud, Shock Top, and Bud Light. Ask for daily drink specials. And they add tax to your beer?! Overall the experience was just "ok". It would be interesting to give it another try, but I'm not in a rush to try it again. read more

Whoops! Initially did the wrong pizza place. Anyways we came here after a torturous hike on Mount Ontario. We needed fatty food and our friend recommended this place. The feeling was totally divey. You order at the back and they bring your food to your table. We ordered pepperoni and sausage pizza, supreme pizza, chicken wings and a meatball sub. The pizzas took days to come out. We were all starving and getting a bit antsy. The chicken wings came out first and it was okay. They didn't put the sauce on it instead you dip into it. I guess it's good if you don't like spice. Next the pepperoni and sausage came out. And it was a thicker crust pizza but I really enjoyed it. The supreme pizza came out much much later. You can tell the bell peppers were fresh but I didn't like how everything tasted. It wasn't as good as the pepperoni sausage pizza. I was tired of waiting and tried to cancel the meatball sandwich but it was too late. By now we ate the pepperoni sausage and half the supreme. It was just too damn slow if you are starving. We have ordered from them before and the food was amazing, so we ordered from them again 2 hours ago.......haven't gotten our order yet. I was told it was going to take a little longer because they're really busy tonight, and I understand that, but this is getting ridiculous. I no longer want dinner at this point. I called over there at 8:00 pm and I was dismissed. It's now 8:15 pm. Told they are closed. I said that I was calling about my order and I was told that it's not there so it must be out there somewhere. Ok. I get it, you're closed, you want to go home, but I was charged $46 for nothing. We live literally 5 minutes from the restaurant soooo. I guess we should have picked it up. My bad. I need a refund. I called back. We never got the food. Supposedly it was with the driver....or not. They weren't really sure. It was there, no it left, oh wait it's at the restaurant. If we order from them again we will pick it up. Lesson learned. Just tried it for the first time. And yes had it delivered. I see that they have hard shell tacos . I'll have to try them. Since I see a lot of good reviews. I ordered 2 small pizzas I like Hawaiian with mushrooms and my boyfriend got him pepperoni, sausage and olives. It was good. I'll try them again. Every Tuesday & Thursday, they make tacos. It's crispy. You can get chicken or beef. Meat, crispy shell, & then a side of their salsa. This salsa is so good. It's a little spicy, robust, & has avocado in it! Bet you weren't ready for that. The tacos are really good. Order at least 3 if that's all you're getting. If you got pizza, at least 2. The crunch is so satisfying. I've only had the beef & it's flavorful on its own. Now, pizza. Their cheese is next level. It's thick, doesn't slide off your pizza, & holds its own in terms of flavor. Seriously, I got a plain cheese pizza & did not regret it. I love toppings, don't get me wrong. But they have an amazing cheese pie that doesn't need anything. The crust here is crispy, chewy but not doughy. It's a tasty crust. I recommend a side of ranch or eating the pizza with any leftover salsa from taco night. If you drink beer, ask about the beer specials. EVEN FOR TO GO. We got a 32 oz beer for each of us when we did our taco-pizza order. That's right, a 32 oz beer in a to-go cup is a thing of beauty. The food left a lot to be desired and we had to wait an hour to get it (business was slow). We received our pizza and salad and never got our burger. I had to ask for our burger only to find out it was given to another table. Upon realizing her mistake, the server removed the burger from the other table and tried to give it to us!
