We've been coming back to pizza barn since dine-in reopened & while the food had been great, every single time we've sat down to eat, service has been absolutely horrible. On our visit today, we were only the second of two taken tables. No one else in the restaurant. I had to get up, go ask for the menu & after deciding what to order, we had to ask the "bartender" if we ordered up front or if they were going to take our order to which we were told "you're sort of hidden over there". We're sitting at a table close to the bar! And there were only 6 people total in the restaurant, including us! As much as we love the food & beer, we're just getting tired of the horrible service. It's a small place, I get it, and have no problem ordering at the counter, but don't act like we aren't even sitting at a table. read more

I hate to give a bad review, but I must do so. I ordered pizza for my team at Pomona Hospital, and normally we get great pizza, fast service, great delivery driver. However, we ordered pizza Friday and after spending $30 on 1 large pizza. We received a pizza that was partially burnt and extremely over cooked. One of my workers knocked on the desk with the crunchy pizza. We immediately informed the manager at the place who agreed to replace the pizza. We called today Tuesday and spoke with the same manager who advised he was no longer willing to honor the promise he made and only offered to give half off. He stated that because we didn't get the pizza redelivered the same day, he would only offer half off. We explained that the lunch period was over and we did not have time to wait another 45 minutes for a new pizza, everyone was disgruntled as we were unable to eat lunch for the day. This is a horrible way to treat a recurring customer. We will no longer order pizza from this place because of this horrible experience. The manager Mario needs to respect his customers and live up to the promises he gives. That is the key to great customer service. read more

I've only ever tried their Mario's ultimate sandwich...but it's all I ever need. It is delicious!! It will leave you wanting more than 1 slice thats for sure. The sandwich is packed with 2 meats, 2 cheeses and avocado!! I love that there is no ham since I don't eat pork. The bread is light and crusty, yum! I would also like to comment on my personal experience with the staff. I had put in an order to be picked up by around 8:30pm. That time was already pushing it since now with covid, the hours are limited. The staff was doing me a favor by staying open for me to pick it up by 8:30pm. I had to do a home visit for one of my patients and it had taken longer than I expected. I called to her let know I could pay for it over the phone and honestly possibly not being able to pick it up since I wouldn't be able to pick it up until probably 9pm. The staff (I wish I got her name) was soooo understanding and accommodated me as best she could. She waited for me until 9pm to come pick it up, a whole hour from the time she was supposed to close! She kept saying she didn't mind staying and didn't want to stress me out. She was the sweetest and most patient front desk worker. It was very much appreciated so THANK YOU PIZZA BARN! On my way over to my boyfriend's place from work on a Tuesday night, we had planned to go to another nearby pizza place when I arrived. He called me and said, "Want to go to Pizza Barn for $1.50 tacos?" "Tacos at a pizza place?" I said, confused. "But why?" We took a chance and went, and I'm glad we did! Who would have thought a pizza place would serve delicious, homemade tacos? Not I. We tried all 3; I liked the shredded beef the best. They serve them with a good, spicy, homemade salsa with avocado, and they'll make simple tacos with chicken and cheese for the kids. Pizza Barn is almost a literal hole in the wall, hidden in the back of a strip mall and behind a donut shop. I never even noticed it until we visited. The interior is very rustic, homey, and looks to be frequented by locals, families after sports games, and all kinds of people. There are a few arcade games for kids. The menu actually has quite a bit more than pizza, including pastas, sandwiches, and a good variety of wine and beer. We ordered the jalapeno poppers and cheese sticks to go with the tacos.... those go with tacos, right? Everything was homemade and reasonably priced. They have specials, such as the Tuesday tacos and the Wednesday AYCE spaghetti for $3.99 ($1.50 to add a domestic beer). I love finding local spots like this and I'll be back. After reading other reviews I may have just been there on an off day, and I did only order a small pizza and fries, so this review is just based on that and if I ever go back I will revise accordingly. That being said, the pizza was good, not the best I have had, but above average. It was served really sloppy though, it wasn't an intact pizza. The fries were just fries, hot, but nothing better than frozen fries you can make at home. The main reason for the 3 stars though. It took us over 30 minutes to get our food and the waitress was rude, not attentive at all, and overall uninterested. read more

Update : the receptionist said very rudely, "go back to ordering from red devil" and hung up.... (Going on 3 hours no delivery) After over an hour of waiting for a delivery order that was supposed to be less than an hour , the delivery guy calls me and says he's at another address which happens to be my old address. Very frustrating as I gave my new address to the lady who took my order. After explaining to the delivery guy , he says to call the place . This was disappointing as that should have been HIS role and not mine. So I call the place and explain. The lady was very rude. As someone who has worked food, mistakes, like anywhere else, happen . But what can be helped is customer service . She said my address was entered and there is nothing she can do other than cancel the order or make another one. I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of their pizza. All I ordered was a plain pepperoni and cheese thinking that it should be ok. Unfortunately, that was far from ok. It had to be the greasiest pizza on the soggiest crust that I have ever seen. Well, I had hoped that maybe it tasted better than it looked. That was not the case either. The oil dripped down our arms as we took a bite of the salty slice. It was just plain bad! Went there recently as I've heard it mentioned before. Decor and ambiance is lacking but it's your local pizza joint after all. Orders a antipasto salad to share and large pie with pepperoni. Antipasto salad has turkey, ham, salami, cheese and olives and red onions. Was a little thrown off with the turkey and ham but it was fine. Wings were my favorite here. Cooked crispy and lots of flavor, has a lot of salt which I personally don't mind at all because I love my foods very salty. They give you a big cup of buffalo sauce on the side with it which is also good and a bit spicy which kinda surprised me for a person like me who always eats spicy foods. Pizza was good but can only eat fresh for the best quality. You cannot eat the pizza after an hour it quickly gets stale, the dough gets too hard and the cheese taste sour after an hour, I tried left over by microwaving it and it completely lost its taste. We had a terrible experience. Young woman named Jessie (receipt said Jess). Major attitude problem. Very abrupt and rude. She was clearly busy. But it wasn't because the place was busy. We just ordered pasta and salad.. Two orders.. For three people to share. Let them know in advance we wouldn't be refilling the pastas because we were going to share them. Like we always do. After about 20 minutes we started to get annoyed. It's never taken this long. We finally tell Jessie we need it packed to go because we have to leave. She gives us attitude.. Tells us she could cancel the order... How is it not at least almost ready after 20 minutes?? Why would you suggest to us that we cancel it? We just needed it to go. My mom leaves and my friend and I wait.. By the time we finally get our food its been 30 minutes. She told us she had a long list of to go orders before us. WELL if that had been the case.. Wouldn't it have been smart to let us know that when we placed our order? Because we would have gone somewhere else. Its not that hard to communicate with your guests. I told her I needed to speak with her and she started walking away saying she had beers to pour. Wow really? So I came up to the bar and gave her a piece of my mind in front of all her regulars. Not sure why she preferred that to me talking to her towards the back of the restaurant. Owners really need go consider if Jessie should be working in the front of house. Mario's Ultimate is seriously the best! A co worker of mine brought in 2 big boxes of this amazing ultimate sandwich and we devoured this in minutes. The crust to me makes it, it's not a thick bread or to thin but just the right texture and crisp. It's not dry and every delicious tasting. This is was my first time trying this and it won't be my last. I'm making to drive to try one of these bad boys again! read more

Was too lazy to leave the house to get food, so decided to try this place. At the time of this review, the menu they have posted on their website says minimum $12 for delivery, but their new menu says $15. They still took my order, though. When I called, they were really busy, and had to put me on hold. But they just set the phone down. Not a big problem, and no one said anything bad, but that's something I think they should be careful about. I was a bit put off by the noise, but my desire for pizza was greater. The pizza was good, but not particularly to my tastes. Too much cheese (though I know plenty of people that love that), and I prefer a bit more kick in the sauce.
