If you are looking for non greasy pizza, this is the place. Without looking at pizza reviews I would have never found this little place. We ordered pizza, burgers and fries. Fries were great, burger was good and so was the pizza. I personally like mine a bit on the greasy side, but it was still delicious. The people who sat behind us had wings. After seeing them my boyfriend was upset he didn't order them. He is a die hard wings fan and they did look good, maybe next year. read more

I love Franco's on 16th street, but unfortunately it was tore down this year with the Sea Scape motel, but it will be back next year. Pizza Boy made for a really solid replacement while Franco's is gone though. I'm happy I tried it and I'll try to come back every once in awhile even once Franco's opens back up, and that's saying something because I loooove Franco's. read more

This place was wonderful! It's a pretty small location on the boardwalk but the food is great. The pizza was awesome and the fries were good too. They not only offered pizza but they also had so many other options such as crab cake and fish and chips. Not only was the food perfect but so was the location. We sat facing the boardwalk and the beach and it was really great eating pizza and looking at the waves roll unto the shore. read more

Pizza Boy looks like nothing special, but they make a good pizza using homemade sauce and dough with no gimmicks. My wife and I ordered a small to share, and I was expecting one of those "personal" pizza sizes - the small was actually quite big - eight pieces. Food was not great. They served us old fries! It's a shame I had to ask for fresh ones- which at first the cashier was reluctant to give. She glanced at the manager and he said ok. Pizza tasted as if it was sitting out for a while and they just reheated it. -.- read more

Pizza was good. What I would fix is cleaning after the clients right away since it's a small place and all the tables were kind of dirty.

Pretty bad crust. Horrible sauce. Don't go at night, we had tons of gnats landing in our sodas and on the pizza. I think the green-heads ate better than us. Did I mention the sauce was nasty? Fries were good and the large portion was huge. read more

Brought veggie pizza for kids and family but apparently veggie pizza is not supposed to have cheese...huh? Called the owner back but they won't admit that cheese is lacking. We didn't want our money back (really, we didn't) but the expectation was at least a decency to admit what they did (or didn't). read more

Pizza Boy is a very tiny outdoor restaurant on the boardwalk. It is easily past by because it is tucked in between Brass Balls and Julia Cannoli's. It is also crowded with alot of umbrellas and signs. We found it because they advertise a $2.50 breakfast. Their prices are inexpensive, and I don't mean cheap because that would mean their ingredients are cheap, but they are not. The pizza dough and sauce is made fresh. It is probably the best traditional/neopolitan pizza in OC. The $2.50 breakfast is my son's favorite. It is one of the only restaurants he prefers over McD's! We joke that Pizza Boy also has the best playland - the beach! For breakfast you can choose from: pancakes and bacon, french toast and bacon or a bacon, egg and cheese on a toasted kaiser roll. This breakfast sandwich is amazing-just perfect! Please check this place out if you are on the boardwalk, especially if you're really hungry and short on cash. The owner is there a lot and he really takes pride in his place. It's a pleasure giving him our money! read more

Just like authentic NY style pizza. $3 for a plain slice- well worth it, the best on the boardwalk.

Boardwalk walk up pizza stand with wooden booths/benches outside. you order at the stand then take your pizza to one of the booth/benches. If I were only reviewing the pizza crust, I would give them 4 stars. It's handmade and came out crisp and perfectly done. However, the sauce and toppings were completely lacking in flavor. Really how hard is it these days to make a good pizza sauce and fresh toppings. The days of mushrooms from a can don't cut it anymore. They do have good beer on draft. read more
