What can I say about the Castle? It's a neighborhood pizza joint. Yes, there are many around the city but the pizza and homemade sausage here are great. The service has always been great and delivery drivers are prompt and courteous. Prices can't be beat. If you decide to pickup, the parking in the tiny strip mall can be challenging. Why did they switch the amount of shrimp? Before at the old location they would serve a pound of shrimp in a big tray for a reasonable price. Now at the new location it seems pricer for only 1/2 of shrimp. Wish they didn't change it. Still love their food tho and was a little disappointed in the change about the shrimp basket. read more

1st time here called ahead and asked do they have pizza slices and was told they have cheese, pepperoni and sausage. Come in it's only one cheese left. Why say you have cheese pizza and only have one slice. Didn't even try the pizza turned off by the service already. Hopefully I'll be back to give the actual food a try. read more

I ordered a thin crust multi ingredient pizza. There seemed to a shortage of ingredients as if each ingredient was being counted as it was placed on the pie. The pizza, once was able to order it was delivered hot and fresh. Good flavor and the spicy cheese balls are a definite must order! Only reason they didn't score higher is because the FIRST time I called I was placed on hold for approximately 8-10 minutes. I hang up and called back and was placed on hold another 5 minutes. First time and the pizza was delicious. Looked like it moved around in the delivery truck because the toppings were messed up but still delicious. We also ordered wings and the taste was great but they got very soggy from the steam . I think poking holes in the container would help keep them a bit more crispy. Sweet treat when I'm visiting relatives. I've been coming here for years and the pizza is always great. Rick, Rich and Tim have always been good to us when we visit. This is by far a neighborhood treasure. The ambiance is definitely old school decor. They have pictures of all the neighborhood trick or treat kids for every year. You can see them making your pizzas as well. We asked about par bake and they stated it can be done! They have shipped to Ohio amongst other places, FYI. Pizza is great tasting. I personally like the thin crunchy pizza. Sauce is quality with fresh ingredients and they have their own family made sausage. The texture is perfect with every bite. I lived only blocks away from here for years. It was practically the only place I ordered from for more than 10 years. The thin crust is honestly the bar I have set for other places. I cannot recommend this place enough, and while I do live in Logan Square now, I occasionally find myself only miles from Pizza Castle and make it a point to pick up some pizza if I have the time. As far as pizza goes this is my #2 pick south of Madison. And they carry 1 liters of RC! Oh and I'm not sure if they still do this but I'd be surprised if they didn't. On halloween drop by with your kids and they have candy and pizza for everyone. read more

When I 1st tried Pizza Castle I was shocked ( no disrespect). I went in and saw they were featured on Chicago's Best which made me feel a little more comfortable. Taking that first bite automatically got me hooked amd went several times after. The sausage pizza is one of my favorites, would rate Pizza Castle on my top 15. Would I go back? Most definitely! Almooossssst enough to get to 5 stars. Almost. So I have been thinking about my first experience and I believe I was a little cautious with my stars, this being a city built on pizza stones and all, those slices were easily 4 star if not 5.... I only knew after because I found myself comparing any pizza slice I've had since to them! So far #1, yet to find a better slice. This time around I opted for the XL King Arthur and again the sauce has a little spice and the crust around the edge of the pizza is crazy good and crunchy like real brick oven stuff! I think those 2 things plus the sausage are what makes it standout for me. The only thing holding it back from 5 stars for me I guess was I would've liked to see a bit more of that coveted sausage and maybe bigger chunks, also I do need to say that the XL is 16" not your standard 18" family size. That's it. This Pizza is awesome and I will go out of my way to have this every time I hit Midway. read more

Top 5 pizza slices In Chicago. Hidden in a strip mall in an iffy neighborhood. Their pizza is perfectly equalized. Not too much cheese or sauce but enough to be cheesy and saucy. Hard to explain how perfect of pizza they make. Their blend of cheese and sauce hits your tastebuds and you're instantly addicted. Just ate 2 slices and I'm trying to plan the next time I'm going back lol. They have a small sit down section with 5 bar stools. Highly recommended for some slices read more

Called in for a pick up order. I asked if the coupons were still valid and the man said yes. I ordered a XL King Arthur and Box of wings with fries and I would get a free 1 liter pop. I asked to use the $2 off coupon and the guy told me to use the XL one topping pizza and box of wings with fries and 2 liter pop for $21.99 and just pay for the extra topping prices for a better price. So, I went with that. After I hung up, I even told my guy that he was nice and even suggested what coupon to use to save. Ok, so my guy goes to pick it up and when he came back he thought it was a bit more expensive than he expected. He said it was like over $30. Made me think. XL King Arthur - $20.45 Box of Wings - $7.25 1 Liter Pop - Free Total $27.70 - $2 coupon = $25.70 + tax XL King Arthur Box of Wings 2 Liter Pop Total $21.99 + $5.55 (3 ingredients) = $27.54 + tax I think it could've been a mistake, but I think the guy would know the menu enough to know which was a better deal. I know the difference is about $2, but left a bad taste in my mouth. The wings were a bit salty and the fries were meh. Skip these! The King Arthur+pepperoni pizza is spectacular! All the toppings were wonderful. The pepperoni was good and the home made sausage was tasty. It has just the right amount of tasty cheese and the tomato sauce is unique. The veggies of course, are decent. The only reason why Pizza castle doesn't get a 5 is because of the crust; it's a little to rubbery for my taste. The fries were okay too. Other than that, I highly recommend this pizzeria for the locals, if they don't already order it for delivery. read more
