Mind = blown. Slick Willy's pizza was so delicious. Perfect amount of crispy cheesy pickly goodness. Service provided by Tay was super friendly & the place was very clean. Excited to come back & try more of their delicious options.

North end brisket pizza is a solid 5/5, and the WuTang veggie is a 4/5. The pizza's were delicious, the toppings were fresh and I'm so glad the sauce wasn't drowning the cheese and toppings. That's my least favorite type of pizza. This was a great experience and the service was fantastic. You might call it hipster, but when the pizza is awesome, I don't care. It's definitely a great spot to hang out at and it's right off of 696, great location.

I called my order in at 10:05 AM and it was promptly ready at 10:25 AM as promised. The parking situation isn't the most convenient since you can only access the complex from Greenfield Rd. and not the service drive. However, the restaurant is clean and the colors are fun and vibrant. The pizza toppings are minced thinly and the sauce is very tangy. All pizzas are thin crust and the pizzas come in 9" and 12." The prices are reasonable for a niche place. I'll definitely go back.

Large pizza the size of a paper plate..

I'll give them two stars ONLY because of the variety of toppings they offer. However, the actual size of the pizza leaves so much more to be desired. Their Large is the size of anyone else's medium. So to pay over $40 and see two small boxes come through my door, I was highly annoyed. The music in the restaurant is so loud they can't even hear what you're saying. Food is good, but with these small portions, we will not patronize any further.

I'm trying to refrain from using too many superlatives in my reviews. When it comes to this pizza…read morerestaurant, I'm not sure what to say. That doesn't involve any superlatives. This is really delicious pizza. We are blessed in this area with a lot of great Pizza, and obviously a lot of great Detroit style Pizza, however, this place does set the bar very high. It's obvious the ingredients are fresh and it's equally obvious that those that prepare this Pizza really care about what they're doing. They also have some really good gelato! This place is well worth it.

The building is super cute, staff were really friendly. Unfortunately, can't say that I'm impressed by the pizza. My friend and I both ordered the Hot Honey Ricotta-Roni, one as is and the other no meat. We both felt the pizza lacked sauce and flavor. There was more bread to eat through than toppings and that was disappointing. For the pizza where no meat was requested and they said they couldn't do a substitution, you would've thought they'd add extra cheese or whatever other sauce they put on the pizza. I did request this over the phone but the background was extremely loud, so it may have been missed. Overall, the next time I visit Michigan, I'd be interested in trying another of their vegetarian pizzas to give it a shot. Thanks to the staff for being so friendly.

I will preface this by saying I didn't order a pizza. That being said I ordered the grilled cheese…read morewhich touted mozzarella, pesto, baby spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes on sourdough. I opted for the garlic fries upcharge, bringing my total to $19.00. Somehow I justified it because I like these toppings and these toppings weirdly weren't available on a pizza. Or at least I didn't see it via the phone based ordering system. Yes, that's right, this is all of the future check with wrist bands and pour your own beer situation. Don't look for a paper menu, they ain't here. My sandwich wasn't a grilled cheese. It was basically pesto toast with large sun-dried tomatoes and scraps of mozzarella. Baby spinach was just missing. I did inquire to the host (perchance the only actual employee?) and he did talk to the kitchen and I guess they were out. With that information I turned to my friend Robert and said, "You know why we have servers? So they can let you know they're 86 spinach." I suppose I would have adjusted my order had I known this too. What's nuts is, they have ingredients to make a better grilled cheese. I mean, step one: add cheese. Why not mix the ricotta and pesto together and then add like havarti or something that may actually melt and have flavor. The sun-dried tomatoes should be sliced smaller. The garlic fries were fine, but also could have had more flavor. Robert's and neighboring table's pizza looked fine. Is it better than any other place offering Detroit style pizza? Hard to say. I guess I'm not in a hurry to go back. The kind host did make an adjustment to my bill for lack of spinach--but having a server would have prevented that being necessary.

I was heading home hungry when I passed Elephant & Co, a restaurant I had on my radar for months…read more It was way past lunch and well before dinner, so I was surprised by the steady stream of customers in this pizza/tap/game room, a difficult genre to define. Upon entering, the staffer explained the set-up to enjoy a variety of beers, poured and priced by the volume. Located at the back of the restaurant, customers can select beer flavors and serve themselves, no bartender needed. A tab is started and charged based on usage, tracked through the wristband provided to you. I ordered over mobile via a QR code, selecting pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip and a large, Detroit-style pizza. The soft pretzels were tender with a lovely crusty exterior. I inhaled the first pretzel since it was past lunchtime, savoring the salty, cheesy bites. I must admit, the pretzels' saltiness temporarily affected my taste buds because the pizza had little flavor, even with the pepperoni, sausage, and olives. I definitely did not taste the hot honey drizzle. I want to praise the light, airy crust. For a deep dish pizza, it did not sit heavy in my tummy. I also appreciated that the pizza was served on a rack, to allow air circulation and to prevent sogginess. The space was dark and had both large communal tables and smaller, intimate tables. This allowed for larger groups to enjoy community beyond a friend group. The other plus is the board games that are available to pass the time while enjoying various beers.

Something for everyone unless you can't do tomatoes...and take the pain. I take the pain…read more --- From Wikipedia: Strozzapreti (Italian: [strttsaprti]; lit. 'priest choker' or 'priest strangler' are hand-made pasta shape, similar to cavatelli, though longer. The name is also used for a baked cheese and vegetable dumpling, prepared in some regions of Italy. Etymology There are several legends to explain the name, primarily based on the anticlerical sentiment of the region. One is that gluttonous priests were so enthralled by the savory pasta that they ate too quickly and choked themselves. Another explanation involves the azdora ('housewife' in the Romagna dialect), who "chokes" the dough strips to make the strozzapreti. The azdora would express rage (perhaps triggered by the misery and difficulties of her life) and curse the local clergy, resulting in a pasta that could choke a priest. A third states that wives would customarily make the pasta for churchmen as partial payment for land rents (in Romagna, the Catholic Church had extensive land properties rented to farmers), and their husbands would be angered enough by the venal priests eating their wives' food to wish the priests would choke as they stuffed their mouths with it. The name surely reflects the diffuse anticlericalism of the people of Romagna and Tuscany. --- Had this pasta for the first time al funghi at a friend's wedding in Italy which cost me a fortune between airfare and suits but Bigalora does a great meat based version. I'd suggest they add a funghi option as well and I'm going to be so bold as to say that since they are making the pasta in house...please sell us bags! I never thought I'd eat this again after enjoying these yummy noodles without buying another suit, a plane ticket, and whatever it costs to renew my passport. Highly recommended! There was another couple seated next to us, and after 20 minutes, no server had come to take our order. We eventually had to call someone over for assistance. The woman who helped us was very kind and said she wasn't actually our server, but was more than happy to take our order anyway--which we appreciated. Unfortunately, we saw our assigned server more when it came time to cash out than we did before or during the meal. That lack of attention really took away from what could have been a great dining experience. I've dined at Bigalora before and have never experienced such a long wait just to place an order. Because of this visit, I won't be back anytime soon.
