    Chicken fettuccine alfredo with mushrooms
    Liz P.

We ordered Doordash from here today, but it's technically under a different name, Main St. Pasta Bar. I was craving pasta for dinner and their prices were reasonable, plus I think we got $8 off with a DoorDash deal. We ordered: -Chicken fettuccine alfredo: pretty basic, but hit the spot. My husband pointed out that they used canned mushrooms, not fresh, but it still tasted good to me. -Pesto fettuccine: oddly, I didn't like this quite as much as the chicken fettuccine alfredo, but it was still decent. -Garlic cheesy bread: also basic, but tasty, it tasted like they had rubbed garlic on it then melted some cheese. Came with marinara sauce. They also threw in two dinner rolls with our order. Overall for the price I would order from here again, for some reason everywhere else we looked at on DoorDash for pasta was really expensive. However, don't expect anything super fancy.

This calzone had feta and pesto sauce...delicious!

We stopped into this clean industrial pizza place and were blown away by the food. Service was quick and well paced as we tried a lot of different dishes. Their calzones were our favorite! And big considering we ordered small. Great pizza and pasta too. This little gem is a don't miss!!!

I loved the pizza! It is a classic New York slice with interesting flavors. It reminds me of NYPD in Ann Arbor. Solid pizza slice.

Absolutely terrible, cheesecake is a scam, there's no sauce, no nothing, it also isn't even that good on its own, and the slice is horribly small for FOUR FRIGGIN DOLLARS. The pizza was okay tho, but I won't be returning, hide your wallets in near sight of milan's pizza because trust me, you'll regret it if you get the cheesevake, never again

Slices came right out of the oven right before our comedy show really enjoyed ourselves eating this food. We also ordered a side of onion rings that came with marinara sauce but overall the food was Yum.

It's a must to eat the pizza fresh out the oven, the crunch is insane! After like 15 min the pizza is mid. Love the late hours.

Where do you get pizza at 1:30 AM? This place! And it's good! You can choose from a full pizza or if you go in, the have plenty of "by the slice" options. I placed a carryout order and it was ready and waiting when I arrived 15 min later to pick it up, despite the crowd. Thin crust...Italian style. The 14" Milan w/extra mushrooms was our pizza of choice.

Ordered a plain cheese slice, it was pretty decent and I didn't have to wait long for it to be ready. The person serving me was nice. Restaurant could've been a little cleaner, but I'd go back again if I was really craving pizza and was in the area.

As a New Haven pizza fan, the REAL kind, I was extremely disappointed. I know that after having eaten the real New Haven (Pepe's, Sally's, and Modern), I need to tighten down my expectations, but come on! They have these beautiful ovens, a nice, clean, and pleasant place and they turn out what I would consider pizza no better, perhaps a little less good than Hungry Howies thin crust pizza! New Haven is supposed to be crispy and chewy, NOT soggy. I tried Farmington Hills a few months ago and ate in, then last week tried Birmingham and carried out. For those of you thinking that my carry-out experience may have been bad due to the 3 miles I had to drive home, but I've carried out a LOT of pies from a LOT of locations, and I DO take that into account. There are some positives: The ingredients were impeccable. Fresh, high-quality cheese and the mushrooms were done really well. The pepperoni was of good quality but nothing worth writing home about. There are a lot of great pepperonis in the area. The doneness was great. It wasn't over- or undercooked. The flavor was good, but not, as some have said, amazing. In both cases, the crust was limp and soggy, NOT chewy and crispy. Not in the least. I don't mind if it's a little bit floppy, but not like this. An analogy I might give is to compare Tomatoes Apizza to Modern Apizza in actual New Haven is like comparing Jets Pizza to Loui's. Jet's is fine, but Loui's! (If you know, you know). To me, Modern in New Haven is at par, and not to be sacrilegious to our beloved Detroit Style, with Loui's or Palazzo Di Pizza, so it's not a style issue. My two experiences were both the same, so I don't know what to think. I'll give them one more try at some point.

I will preface this by saying I didn't order a pizza. That being said I ordered the grilled cheese…read morewhich touted mozzarella, pesto, baby spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes on sourdough. I opted for the garlic fries upcharge, bringing my total to $19.00. Somehow I justified it because I like these toppings and these toppings weirdly weren't available on a pizza. Or at least I didn't see it via the phone based ordering system. Yes, that's right, this is all of the future check with wrist bands and pour your own beer situation. Don't look for a paper menu, they ain't here. My sandwich wasn't a grilled cheese. It was basically pesto toast with large sun-dried tomatoes and scraps of mozzarella. Baby spinach was just missing. I did inquire to the host (perchance the only actual employee?) and he did talk to the kitchen and I guess they were out. With that information I turned to my friend Robert and said, "You know why we have servers? So they can let you know they're 86 spinach." I suppose I would have adjusted my order had I known this too. What's nuts is, they have ingredients to make a better grilled cheese. I mean, step one: add cheese. Why not mix the ricotta and pesto together and then add like havarti or something that may actually melt and have flavor. The sun-dried tomatoes should be sliced smaller. The garlic fries were fine, but also could have had more flavor. Robert's and neighboring table's pizza looked fine. Is it better than any other place offering Detroit style pizza? Hard to say. I guess I'm not in a hurry to go back. The kind host did make an adjustment to my bill for lack of spinach--but having a server would have prevented that being necessary.

I was heading home hungry when I passed Elephant & Co, a restaurant I had on my radar for months…read more It was way past lunch and well before dinner, so I was surprised by the steady stream of customers in this pizza/tap/game room, a difficult genre to define. Upon entering, the staffer explained the set-up to enjoy a variety of beers, poured and priced by the volume. Located at the back of the restaurant, customers can select beer flavors and serve themselves, no bartender needed. A tab is started and charged based on usage, tracked through the wristband provided to you. I ordered over mobile via a QR code, selecting pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip and a large, Detroit-style pizza. The soft pretzels were tender with a lovely crusty exterior. I inhaled the first pretzel since it was past lunchtime, savoring the salty, cheesy bites. I must admit, the pretzels' saltiness temporarily affected my taste buds because the pizza had little flavor, even with the pepperoni, sausage, and olives. I definitely did not taste the hot honey drizzle. I want to praise the light, airy crust. For a deep dish pizza, it did not sit heavy in my tummy. I also appreciated that the pizza was served on a rack, to allow air circulation and to prevent sogginess. The space was dark and had both large communal tables and smaller, intimate tables. This allowed for larger groups to enjoy community beyond a friend group. The other plus is the board games that are available to pass the time while enjoying various beers.
