Pizza is very very thin. The pepperoni and sausage was minimal compared to the onions. Pizza was pretty tasty overall, but $26 for a 14" pizza is a little high in my opinion for such a thin pizza. No where on the menu, or in the restaurant or around the register does it menu the charging for use of a credit card, otherwise I would have paid with cash. Nor do you see an itemized bill. Only after it's all done you see tax and fees and a total, but still don't know. Of the cc fee. Very frustrating. Sounded like you place food order at counter and then take a seat. Kid at register didn't have much pep in his step. 4 ppl in line at the door and showed no desire to pick up the pace or have an ounce of personality. read more

Updated from my first visit two yrs ago (was still 5 star). Pizza D-Lux is now a must have every time I land and depart Ft Myers airport. Im not sure how they are doing slices better than the pizzerias in NY that have "NY water". The 2 slice special is the best pizza ive had in years, only exception would be a couple places in NYC. So thin, so foldable, the best crust. Its literally the thin pizza I grew up on that no one seems to make right anymore. The ambiance of the restaurant makes me feel like I went back in time to the pizzeria around the corner from where I grew up. Staff is always friendly. These guys are the best. Dont fall for other places that need to put "New York" in their name to draw you in only to fall short of the expectations. read more

I drove here from Cape Coral only to find a note on the door that they were closed so their staff could "do something together" and they would reopen at 2:30. Problem is I arrived at 3:30. They were closed despite what the sign said. The incorrect information was more disappointing than the fact that they were closed. The next day, I called to ask if they could start a pizza for dine in simply because my children had just finished a long practice and I wanted to cut 10 minutes off our wait time and hopefully help them since they were closing in 45 minutes. Really very similar to a good thin crispy crust. I'm disappointed that they don't have wings. Rather than purchasing a slice or two that have been reheated they have a 10 " freshly made pizza that is great for just one or two. Also since it's a smaller pizza adding extras is lower price. We called in here for dinner tonight--girl on the phone was pleasant. We ordered a 10" D-lux pizza, Garlic Bread with Cheese, and half dozen Garlic Knots. She said 20 minutes for pickup. The staff were nice picking it up and it was all ready. The place looked a bit narrow inside to site and eat. There was a wall littered with police badges. The 10" D-lux pizza was very thin (NY style) with a nice chewy crust though a bit burnt on the edges. Unfortunately the mushrooms were canned, and the sausage and pepperoni were pretty thin, and we could barely taste them, as there was a lot of green pepper and onions on the pizza. It was $10.50 for this pie which seemed pretty high considering how small it was. Perhaps next time I'll just order a basic pepperoni pizza. The garlic bread was dry and overcooked/burnt on the edges. The garlic knots were nice and chewy, the best of the three items we ordered. read more

This is one of best discovery we had in Fort Myers. Put it mildly, this is the best place for thin crust and crispy New York style pizza. We normally have our pizza at D-Lux but tonight we have it carry out. Another highly recommended item is the meatball parmesan. They must make the meatball with breadcrumb and egg. Been living in Fort Myers for just over a year and happen to pass the strip mall sign that had the display for "Real New York Pizza." I'm a Bronx boy who also lived in "the city." This IS the best pizza I've found so far. There was one review that said "Completely floppy, gross, no crunch, mild amount of sauce, bland bland bland." Even though they ordered it "well done" they obviously don't know what NY style is. What it is not supposed to be is firm, think, have a crunch and not buried in sauce. I think they wanted a different style, or they got unreal NY style in NY (which is the norm now). NY style is thin and floppy so you have to fold it. It doesn't drip sauce all over the place (like some pizzas down here do). And mine wasn't bland. Take it from a New Yorker going back to the 70's, this is the stuff. read more

We live a bit away, so I order the pizza driving home, arrive before it gets out of the oven. The place has potential. The food was good but the place needs some polishing. There should be no kids in the kitchen while business hours are in force. It is too distracting for the workers and who knows what the kids are doing. We ordered the "d-lux" and it was fine except they had 1 small pice of sausage on our 14" pizza. I kinda attribute this to the distractions from the kids. The ordering and service process was confusing. Also the place could be a bit cleaner as the floors were slippery. Felt like there was a light coating of some kind of flour on the floor. We would go back to give the place another chance but if there are kids in the kitchen and ingredients missing on our pizza, then they are doomed as far as we are concerned. read more
