Every time we stop by Payson to have a mini vacation in our cabin, we would go to this place and the pizza was amazing. They were generous with cheese and anything that you wanted to top your pizza with however it all has changed, it makes me very sad to say this. I understand the price of everything has gone up, obviously they have to charge you more for pizza, what I don't understand is why charge more and yet put very little cheese, ton of tomato paste instead of sweet tomato sauce that is for pizza particularly? It gave me such heartburn dad I had to take lots of anti-acid and sleep on the couch (sitting) so that passage from tomato paste wouldn't wake me up. Very disappointing because it was our favorite place to go for pizza. All I am saying is that when you up the price because the price of everything has gone up, at least deliver the same quality you used to do before. Read your response, wish all due respect we paid $28. Had to pay extra almost $5 for two sprite bottles. And our pizza had barely any cheese on it. We were in for lunch yesterday and everything was delicious! The pizza and breadsticks were perfect!

I first visited the Pizza Factory several months ago near the beginning of 2020. After the pandemic hit, we would drive up to Payson just to get out if the house. Once we reached Payson we would buy pizza slices at Pizza Factory and eat them in our car. As things changed, we continued to drive up to Payson and stop at the Pizza Factory to sit and eat their delicious pizza. The place is spacious, with lots of seating even with social distancing. The staff is kind and helpful. The prices are reasonable, though not inexpensive. The pizza itself is tasty. I love the house special pizza . The crust is fluffy and neither too soft or too dense. It is perfect. The ingredients are added generously, just as the mozzarella cheese is as well. I am not sure how I didn't know about Pizza Factory before this, but I am definitely glad i discovered it. It would definitely be a good place to stop with the family if you are on your way from a weekend of camping or in the area. It's very good pizza and worth the stop if you are in the area. My good friend Jen and I took a drive up to Payson a few weeks ago. The restaurant we wanted to go to was closed on Mondays, so we decided on Pizza Factory I got the Lasagna which was very good, has little meatballs in it. Sauce was Excellent!!! This place is a Gem! Had some awesome reviews so we stopped in for lunch. Got us a family combo it included an XL pizza breadsticks and 4 drinks ! It was a steal ! We added on some cheesy garlic bread and it hit the spot. The garlic butter that was on the breadsticks was MONEY ! I tried To duplicate since but I wasn't able to. The pepperoni pizza was Loaded with toppings The dining room was cozy and great for family style eating I liked their indoor outside patio eating area probably would be great for a private get together. We were in Payson for the day on the hunt for some gluten free food for our girls. The Pizza Factory came up and they were excited hearing that option. Thrybare located in thr Bashas Groceey Store shopping center. I walked in and spoke with a young lady who was so sweet. She took our order to go. We chose a gluten free black olive and a medium cheese pizza. I was surprised to hear her say it was almost 34.00. The gluten free was 19.21. Just under 12.00. I felt that was a bit steep for their pizza. At 3:30pm the Pizza Factory was pretty quiet. I found it to be a cute place. There were different areas of seating throughout. They even had video games too. I came back after 20 minutes and the place was packed! Our pizza was hot and ready to go. All the employees wore masks. The customers not so much. Not while ordering, waiting, or playing games. They are not enforced here, but with that many people without masks how could you? I do not mind as I wash my hands constantly, use sanitizer and wipes, and use my mask, but for those who are concerned or high risk, maybe not the place for you. Kids running around playing games going from table to table trying to pick their favorite spot, families using tables to eat right after other people were sitting down their waiting for their pizza to go. Games are not wiped down nor tables that are not actually eaten at between customers. Honestly there is no way to! Too many people coming and going. Just be self aware. The culture up hear seems to be mostly people not concerned with masks. We met a lot of amazing people here that don't and would make jokes when we walked into their business with masks. They were kind just weren't concerned. I don't judge. I just do my thang. I noticed when picking up the pizza, they had some really fresh good looking salads. Staff were helpful and friendly, but the food--no! We ordered a Hawaiian pizza and a BBQ chicken pizza. The Hawaiian was okay, but the cheese isn't great; it has a weird texture, and doesn't seem like quality product. The BBQ sauce was absolutely horrible. It sickening, cloyingly sweet. What a neat, casual pizza shop. Stopped in while on 260 from Pinetop and it is right off of the highway. Order at the counter and they give you a number to later bring your food to the table. The place is larger than it seems with many wooden picnic tables and a small arcade in back. No children's menu, but a helpful gal at the counter said they would cut a slice into small pieces and give a small cup to cover for his drink (no milk or juice options, FYI). They have Gold Peak tea, which made me a happy lady! We ordered the couples special (small, 2-topping pizza, 2 salad bar bowls and 2 drinks) and a slice and small drink for our kiddo, which came out to $17. The salad bar had some browning lettuce and unique- looking dressings but served its purpose. The ranch came in handy later to dip the big crust into (you're welcome ;-) ). We got our pizza fresh out of the oven within 15-20 minutes. The spinach was great but much of the broccoli singed. Looked like a tree that caught fire. Ha! The crust was thick and chewy, in a very good way! We felt that the crust thickness and texture was great but it could have used a bit of flavor. The sauce and cheese were tasty and fresh. When it comes to pizza places in the modest town of Payson, this place really is as good as it gets! Simple, rustic and maybe even somewhat nostalgic would aptly describe the decorum. The only thing this place needs to focus on is making good pizza. And boy did they nail it! The first thing you have to understand about their pizza is that it's hand tossed. This is key when you realize that crust makes the pizza. Yes, the toppings and sauce are important as well. But all of that is lost if the crust is too greasy or too thick or inedible like I've experienced with some other places. However, I have little complaints about the pizza here. Ah, but let's discuss the other commodity most pizza places should be able to execute well: the wings. I ordered some hot wings because I was in the mood for some. Now, to the faint of heart (much like myself when it comes to spicy food), the hot wings aren't even that "hot"; they're mild. And they are SO delicious! Possibly the best wings I've had since Jersey. For me, this sealed the deal for this place to receive a 5 star rating. I mean...pizza = perfect! Wings = phenomenal! Location = perfect! The worst customer service by the owner. We ordered a pizza. Called when it was 25 mins past the quoted time. Owner told us that time was when it would leave the door. I said ok. Hung up received said pizza and it was cold. Called to speak to the owner, spoke with her. Started to tell her what happened. She proceeds to give me how busy they are, how hard it is to keep drivers from getting lost and I went to say something and she said You're no longer my customer. Anyways, I don't want to hear you and hung up on me. If an owner will act like that, think of how the employees are going to act towards you as well. Please do not visit this restaurant and go elsewhere so you will get good customer service and a hot pizza. Before the owner replies and says it's because of COVID and that I was rude. Look at some of the other reviews. Rudeness seems to be a problem there. So, this was the first time going to this place. I'm on my lunch and work from home and decide to try the place. I order some slices of pizza. Keep in mind, I just popped in. The kind lady took my order, didn't tell me how long it would take. I didn't think it would take that long. 10 minutes go by, I'm getting worried. I only have a 30 minute lunch break. 15 minutes in, I gotta go. I asked the kind lady to please refund my money as I gotta log back in to work. She tells some person who looks like she's worked there far too long. She gets angry. She tells me because of me, the pizza will be wasted. Then proceeds to start scolding me about the ins and outs of Pizza Factory. Working in Child Support, I get yelled at by both parents, it's not glorious but I try my best. With limited choices of pizza places in Payson, I was really craving a #carpizza for my drive back to Phoenix after a long hike. Granted this is during the whole Coronavirus time, but I don't think that really affects my review. First off, the pizza is ok, not great. It was a bit better than going to Pizza hut but not by much. I ordered it online using the yelp app. It seemingly worked well except that they missed one of my toppings. Why is mushroom not available as a topping??? Luckily I was close to the restaurant. So I was able to go and have it corrected just in time before heading to the oven. The people were very nice and considering the limited options for dining, they were pretty busy. One last final comment, they need to teach one of the girls there how to cut a pizza. She cut it so unevenly that some slices were an inch wide while others were 3 inches wide. We are in Payson for 1 night and decided to order in. Past experience has taught us that pizza is the safest delivery choice when you don't know the area. The delivery driver, Brian, was phenomenal! He called us before he left the store to let us know he was on his way.
